Photoshop is available for MAC , but ProRIP is windows only.

We are using a UniNet iColor 550 white toner printer (heat transfer)

Do you need a white toner specific to white toner printing to rasterize. Because if you run the foil through twice is it nearly impossible for the white to print under each dot perfectly? Or is the mask just solid white?

When single pass printers like an iColor 800 (what Jenny uses) you will print color and white in the same go.
There's no need for a second pass and therefore no alignment issues like you have them with these homemade HP or Canon setups

Is it necessary to rasterize before printing with white ghost toner and how difference is the print quality if I don't rasterize it?

You cannot effectively rasterize using a two pass printing method because the registration is not exact enough.

This video utilizes photoshop which is used to create and edit raster based graphics. CorelDraw and Illustrator can be used to create Vector based graphics instead.
