  • Greetings fellow travelers join us for Fire in the Hole in all its Original Glory before the right before closure and renovation. This is the first enclosed roller coaster located at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri. The three-story steel coaster was built in-house by Silver Dollar City in 1972. The ride is often considered a cross between a dark ride and a roller coaster. A similar ride, "Blazing Fury", was built at Herschend Family Entertainment's Silver Dollar City Tennessee, now known as Dollywood, in 1978. On February 13, 2023, Silver Dollar City announced 2023 would be the last season for the ride before it is closed and rebranded for a future ride experience
Thanks for watching, liking, commenting and sharing, it all helps.
and as always we will see all our fellow travers and loyal subscribers soon on the next ride.

So so so sad to see it go! First rollercoaster I ever rode, I can remember sitting in the seats and always expecting them to be wet.

1:53 The Jackson's Funeral Parlor had the music down these past few operating seasons as I was watching some videos. I haven't gone to Branson since 2016 where my family and I used to vacation once every summer, except for 2002 and 2013-14. And it is a shame they're closing it, most likely due to maintenance costs and that parkgoers were favoring some newer rides like the Outlaw Run and Time Traveler.

The ride over these 50 years is beginning to have predictions that the building would begin to lose stability or strength of the building in the next decades. Makes sense as this building is kind of built with elevation being wacky. The ride is still safe to ride currently anyways, and they would have to completely redo this ride in order to address the concerns for the near future, and the new version of this ride will be in the fireman land. The building is absolutely massive and is much more cleverly designed and has a stronger building and track type. Expect this to have more updated effects. Even if this new one improves a lot, it will NOT have the charm that the old one had, and that’s one of the things I adore about it

IMO you have to do the Cave tour before you ride this, it is crucial to know the history of Marvel Cave and the old town of Marmaros to understand what on earth is going on in this ride

They should renovate it but not tear it down, just won’t be the same silver dollar city without the good old Fire In The Hole! They are making a mistake,,, what’s next grandfather’s mansion and the flooded mine? Just terrible news…..

Sadly the splash down has made the building structurally unsound. That's why they got rid of it on Blazing Fury at Dollywood

😮 I hate that they copied Dollywood

Blazing Fury at Dollywood which used to be Silver dollar city opened June 6th 1978 and Fire in the Hole opened in 1972 at Silver Dollar City, so I have to disagree on this one, cheers
