I noticed Takeru had this flaw of backing up in straight lines before, it worked when he was younger because he was fast enough and guys couldn't run him down. Now that he's in his 30s, he needs to use other defensive tools besides footwork. Showed some head movement in this fight, needs to use more of it
lol, this is my first time watching this guy and I noticed that instantly and was like a boxer would just chase him down.. Then next exchange he got dropped.
Takeru made good adjustments to his game imo Good kicking mix ups and didnt rush in to get the knockdown back. Zin showboated a little too much BUT this kind of gameplan from Takeru will do well against Rodtang
Would love to see a video on some of Masaaki Noiri's fights. He has one of the best highlight reels in the sport. You against him would have been fireworks!
imo I think Takeru isn't doing so well in ONE is because he's old. Not in age (33 is the tail end of an athletic prime but still prime nevertheless) but in fight years. The guy fights with crazy brawling style and has taken a lot of damage over the years. Not surprised that it's catching up to him.
No. Its not that simple. He's facing better opponents and has funnily enough has never fought someone like zin bfor. He dominated the heck out of this fight n the kd was just a flash kd. Nothing to look too much into
Takeru. And what is the difference between Thant zin? 1. Takeru. 33 years old 2. A world class boxer. 3. K1. 3 times champion 4. his experience. 5 .game plan 6. Training. Before the age. Now this is such an intense fight Gabriel. Man I was shocked when Zin knocked down Takeru but Man Takeru finished the job in the end. Cannot wait for him to fight Rodtang. Would be a banger. As for Thant Zin I would give him someone lower in the top 5 to face off against because he managed to knock down Takeru and even win a round against him! 🥊
Gabe i love kickboxing. How do you counter a teep/front kick without catching ? Just sweeping it to the side ? I really do no like how kickboxing doesn’t allow you to catch and dump people.
This match reminds me of Supergirl vs Stamp Fight. Favourite vs underdog, Businessmen like Boss Chatri never want their money-printing machine like Takeru to be knocked down. Tawanchai vs Nattawut, Tawanchai won, Why? It was not fair, but it is what it is. I don't trust this fight. I didn't see Thant Zin hurt by Takeru's kick clearly. It must be something behind the scenes.
Unfair ? Both fighter under the same ruleset. What advatange does the Japanese have ? 3 hands ? Might as well make it MMA match then like the guy above said.
Some Thai fighters spend more time taunting than fighting. Forgetting that they are not Rodtang or Superlek or Saenchai. Fight man, stop sticking your tongue out.
Those are stupid comments.... Gabriel does not drink, does not do drugs - never has, not once - not ever. He in fact does have allergies, and that is what that stuffed up sound is. Gabriel's dad - Keith Varga

Takeru's toe kick is such a sneaky weapon. After moving from KREST to Vasilus he has really improved it.
It's the same team though with the same coaches.
Yep. Mikazuki or crescent kick in karate.

He also used to be able to just time and ko his opponents as they followed him while he was younger

Those snappy front kicks are so good. I wonder if other people will be using it in kickboxing and muay thai
j kick fighters love that karate toe kick i can see more fighters starting to add it to their game
Takeru has a Kyokushin background which is probably why he uses it lol
Takeru actually moved to Thailand to train when he was young.
@@AliveBread no, it's Tenshin who moved to TH to train muay Thai when he was young.

He's been a pro fighter for 16 years, I think most guys start declining and getting KOd during their 10th-11th year of career.

You done any vids on this lead teep to the body that takeru does? Seems effective and quite different to a typical Thai style teep

1. Sweep it to the side with your hand. 2. Block it with your shin / knee. 3. Block it with your elbow. 4. Step back out of range or step to the side.

Thant Zin had Appendix removal operation months ago. He also got very excited after round1. He was crying backstage for awhile
Sadly, his speed is dropped because he was 30.
His name is pronounced TA-KE-LU , and spelled Takeru.
the real winner of that fight was brain damage
Takeru mae geri make his opponent down 🦵👍
Thank Zin has an old wound from surgery on his stomach. I think it went to the surgical site. It's because of a perforated appendix.
