- I showed you magical folks my grimoire last year around this time and now I can show you all the progress I have made in the last year! I have almost finished filling this thing up! 3 years or progress and its almost done. Art Journaling is a big part of my spiritual practice and now you can see what additions I have made. Who Am I? Hi, I'm Marina if we've never met. I am a creative, jack of all trades, homesteading in the Inland Northwest. When I began practicing magic in middle school I never imagined I would learn as much as I have. So I thought it may be helpful to share what I’ve learned with you magical folks! To keep the flowers from crumbling you can sandwich them between two pieces of clear tape and then cut out the excess tape and just glue to your book
That's a good solution for now! I'll try that. I'm trying to find something plastic free ideally... I try but I can't will every battle 😂

I'm about to post the final flip through of this grimoire and the finished solarpunk spread! There will be a lot more of that in my vision book!
Your Grimoire is a spring of inspiration. I have completely abandoned mine because I doubted the "correct order" and when I saw yours I realized that there is no need to do that. Infinite thanks!!!✨
I'm so glad this inspired you to get back into your book! I pretty much use my book page by page unless I have a set of pages I want to do (like the holiday section or alien section.) Then I title the pages and fill them in when I get to them :) or I put a sticky note on the page to remember what I want to put there! Hope that helps! And good luck!

I'm so glad you appreciate my eclectic taste! I would love to make a magickal library video! Just thinking about it now, my library consists of a lot of books from yogis and books about Hinduism. Also some new age folks have influenced me very deeply. Thanks for the idea!

Thank you! Those pages are like active meditations on a concept or mantra. Im my next books I may make a separate for these pages, cause I find myself leaving my book open on these pages on my altar as a way to connect with that energy more frequently! Maybe I can make a manta book!
After the last time I drove in Seattle, I started having dreams (or nightmares) about driving in Seattle and getting in all the accidents! Its a stressful place to drive, that's for sure. Your grimoire is gorgeous and so creative, thank you for sharing it!

For the flowers, you could use the plastic window thing from a postage envelope, if you ever get those. That way you dont have to feel bad that its plastic, since you're repurposing it!

The decoration page, you could print in both sides by copying the first image, and flipping it to mirror the other. Centre them both and when they print, it will be back to back. Love your book 🥰

You can usually find clear contact paper at the dollar store or any big box store for cheap. You could place that over the flowers to keep them from flaking off.
You could also get a clear coat spray paint and spray a couple of very thin layers over the flowers, allowing them to dry well in between.
I sort of wonder if the bendiness (probably not a real word - lol) of the page loosens up the mod podge? Maybe reinforcing the stiffness of the page might help.
I love your grimoire, I have enjoyed seeing what you have done. I have a beautiful leather book for a grimoire - a couple of them actually - but I am afraid of messing up the book so I have had this gorgeous book for several years and haven't even started to but information in it. 🤦🏼♀️
Thanks for the ideas! Ill have to try contact paper and spraypaint! I totally understand the hesitance to work in a beautiful leather book! That's exactly why I went the Junk Journal route lol its a lot less daunting if you make the book yourself out of garbage!

I haven't written in my Grimoire yet because I'm still creating tea dyed pages. Some are going to be fold outs because some of the topics are going to be taking up multiple pages like Ancient Greek alphabet magick. I'm also reading Magic in the Ancient Greek World and I would like to add quotes from that book into my Grimoire. I'm life path 8 as well! Holy crap, I thought this whole time you were saying Adonis not Adamus.I love Corregan the Crone. I've been thinking when we were getting a new Grimoire walk through.

If you find some transparent film like teachers used with the light thing to project things on a wall..it's clear like hiding it behind a pane of glass it's what i use in my journals

My grimoire is a repurposed materials one and so is my witchy life journal im in love with them and take them with me everywhere i have not started on my bos or my Magical ingredients folder or my gods etc folder
Junk journal style grimoires are so much lover stakes to work in! I would be too nervous to work in a pristine leather bound parchment book! It's a relief to know ow I can always make another junk journal later, likely with cooler stuff as my collection grows! It sounds like you've got a lot of directions to go in! How fun!

It’s clear lots of love, energy and time went into this book. I’m curious why do you call it a grimoire and not a BOS
I call this a grimoire because it contains a lot of my spells and information I reference. I use my bos/ book of reflections as a journal and record of my shadow work, spell workings before they're finalized, tarot readings, ideas, notes, and preliminary research. It's filled with all my personal chicken scrach, so I dont share it on the channel, lol 😆
@@ElderberrySprout I love all the little quirks people have in their practice that differ from mine. Personally I only have my journals and grimoire. Journals for new info and ramblings and my grimoire for finalised spells,rituals,rites and how to’s

I’m curious about the masters, I’ve never heard of them before?
They are essentially all the masters who have reached enlightenment in their lifetime. My pages have to do with the energies their souls came from, and the lessons they were here to teach. There's a pretty great youtube channel called "ascended masters 101", that's a great place to start diving into them!
You can cover your flowers with PVA glue it dries clear

Your grimoire is more of a bos ( the mundane bullcrap book lol) grimoire is a book that all of your spells etc that you have performed goes into the grimoire and my witchy life journal has all of my spell results , card readings etc goes into it
Everyone uses their books in different ways, and trust me, these are my spells. Sometimes meditating with a piece of art can be transformational. But please don't call my spells bullcrap, because I do have a book of shadows, and that my friend is the chicken scratch bullcrap book. FIlled with shadow work, tarot pulls, recipes I'm trying, and deep thoughts and research. Only when I precipitate the knowledge does it earn space in the grimoire. Maybe sometime I'll have the courage to share my bos. But until then, this is all ya get 😆
