    This so spot on. Many fanbois of the SEALs seem to be completely unaware of the PUBLIC record of SEAL war crimes and other crimes, and awful behavior over the past 20 years. At one point, command acknowledged it. But "the brand" is unaffected. SEALs should be shut down, we have all specops capability we need and then some with the other forces. And to be truthful, MARSOC operators get far more training, and are also combat infantry soldiers built from the ground up. They can assume any mission sets formerly given to SEALs. And Delta can do any mission DevGru (SEAL Team 6) can. And probably better.

    • @War4theWest
      @War4theWest 7 месяцев назад

      @MealTeam6 Name a mission Delta can't do that DevGru does. Then show me the number of scandals (Delta has some). There is no comparison. Not only is DevGru redundant, it's part of an institution that was culturally flawed from the start due to that lunatic Marcinko. Massive drinking, hazing of new members with all kinds of weird sexual shit, etc. I am embarrassed and ashamed that they serve my country. If you are clueless about their track records (matters not a whit what your personal experience with a platoon is), read Alpha and then Code Over Country and get back to me. You'll find Gallagher is a stone cold burn out and murderer, and that the SEALs are generally out of control in the field far too often. Have never seen the same complaints about Delta. Never.

    • @War4theWest
      @War4theWest 7 месяцев назад

      @MealTeam6 Huh. My comment was deleted, asking you to cite any mission DevGru can do that can't be done by Delta? Fyi or MarSoc if we are going to focus on the water missions, which Delta addresses too. Let's try again. And if so, those capabilities and people can be subsumed into Delta. We have to start cutting somewhere, we are going bankrupt. 34 trillion is probably already to much to come back from...

    The Melgar Green Beret situation really changed my view of Tier 1 SEALs specifically. Though it doesn't do a group such as Delta any justice to call them Gentlemen Warriors (as they have also had their own problems), it just seems that certain SEAL DEVRU or Team 6 Operators are a completely different breed by comparison. While I understand that we can't have a bunch of Choir Boys leading the charge in the dark to fight evil, nor can we expect to cage a pack of Male Lion Brothers with other Lions. While these Lions (men) will do anything to protect their Pride/Coalition (Platoon) Brothers, they will sacrifice anyone and anything in the periphery to achieve that goal. Not unlike Male Lions who operate based on currency to bolster their Egos (territory, females, food), the tales of some SEALs doing the same with actual currency/cash, fame, aggression in order to bolster their own Egos or standings within the community are essentially the same thing.

      I don’t think it’s fair to judge all SEALs or Tier One SEALs based on these cover ups. As evidence shows it came from the top of those organizations, not from the operator level.

    Hey Matt, former heroin addict here. Yes, the first hit is great, but you have plenty of other times when it's much better. The problem with heroin is after you've pushed your tolerance up a few levels, you get to a point to where you need a good bit just to feel normal, not even high. That's when you'll develop the real habit of just trying to feel normal. You don't care about the high as much, you just don't want the flu-like symptoms. Later on in life is when you go the methadone route to help come off. Methadone works, if you do it right. Problem is even the rehabs don't do it right. They want you hooked on their product for a long time, too. Again, if done right, it's a miracle drug. I know you didn't ask for my 2 cents, but you seem like the kinda guy that likes knowledge. Cheers, j

    I get wanting to get to the truth about the death of a friend and seal. BUT… when it comes down to what happens on these missions or what these guys do when we send them into the most dangerous places on earth I don’t mind if they don’t feel like sharing all the exact details with the public. We sent them to do a job. No point in picking it apart after the fact

    • @mattcubbler
      @mattcubbler  10 месяцев назад +1

      I agree. I don’t want or need to know anything. But when THEY come forward and put out manufactured versions of the event then they are fair game. When crimes are being committed and the truth is suppressed when families inquire about what happened to their warrior son - that’s unacceptable. That’s what I’m exposing.

    • @dakotajones9709
      @dakotajones9709 9 месяцев назад

      *BUT…* Means disregard everything before.
      "when it comes down to what happens on these missions or what these guys do": Means, in regards to actions taken and the facts of the matter.
      "we send them into the most dangerous places on earth": Emotional language utilized to illicit emotional sympathy to justify a future statement. Implicating what follows would be unjustifiable otherwise this language wouldn't be utilized.
      " I don’t mind if they don’t feel like sharing all the exact details with the public": Operations in part or in full are rarely shared with the public, unless they are being propagandized, politicized, or are no longer a matter of operational security. So they don't, until they do. And chose how much. Public disclosure has nothing to do with whether or not people are held accountable for their actions internally. If criminality is taking place, and the mechanisms for accountability also fails and that mechanism instead conspires to cover up the criminality that system has failed and is unable to self correct and requires outside pressure for accountability, from other agencies, the public, doesn't matter. If outside pressure for accountability does not takes place what happens is a degeneration into criminal self serving parasitical behavior. Indicated by the, at least by Mr. Cubbler's estimation, culture of blackmail that is utilized as leverage to encourage silence to allow for criminality.
      It's exactly the mindset any predatory person or government would want to propagate, and it's being taken advantage of today, right now. In a myriad of ways. It's extremely ignorant. Apathetic. Unwise. Harmful. And I don't like it, at all. This outlook is the pre-condition necessary for a tyrannical and criminal government, or any other organization or individual, to flourish.
      This mindset should be called out, I am unable to communicate the level of insidiousness this mentality brings, and the level of predation it opens you and others up for on a mass scale by those who choose to take advantage. It's an absolutely disgusting evil mentality. Like fertile soil for those who wish to prey on others. Naïve.

      And as we see here, this is an example of worshipping others and putting them on a pedestal. When the object of worship is criticized it is taken as an attack as the critique is in direct conflict with their idea of the object of worship, at which point negative emotions are triggered to which they react and express from.
      1) Communicates direct knowing that "he barley knew this guy". (Belief/assumption born of emotion? Or do you have direct knowledge, and were there?)
      2) Communicates direct knowing of motivation, "Guy who wants fame, nothing better to do". (Belief/assumption born of emotion? Or do you have direct knowledge, and are in his mind?)
      The next question, does the Gentlemen have the capacity of self reflection and honesty to look at his statements and assess the place from which they came, and the motivation to arrive at what is true? Or will he allow this mechanical unconscious process to play out and double down?
      Very interesting.
