  • This video explains everything you need to know about Vaccinations and Immunizations for Older Adults. Such as-
    - Who needs them?
    - Why should I get them?
    - Why are older adults at an increased risk for contracting the disease
that vaccinations can help them avoid?
    - What vaccinations are available?
Protect yourself and your loved ones by getting the recommended vaccines as needed. The immunizations will boost your immune system, protect you from contracting the disease, and help you avoid the illness itself as well as the complications (and even sometimes death) that may occur without the vaccine.

I am reading many medical papers stating that older adults who have had a Dtap series as children, and boosters as adults... don't need to continue boosters in advanced age. I am going to ask my doctor to request Dtap titres to confirm my immunity....before I have anymore Dtap boosters. I am 73.
Some immunological experts are saying tetanus and diphtheria at age 30 and 60 after childhood vaccination. Unfortunately, there its no separate pertussis shot available at this time ...just Dtap combo.

"And these days who doesn't have a chronic condition" ? There's a 'red flag' 1:10 right here. Needs clarification.

A nice overview. For pneumococcal vaccine, my understanding is that CDC now recommends only one shot, just the PPSV23 as of 2020. But my pharmacy just gave me PCV13 without telling me,. So I go back in a year for PPSV23 and the pharmacy chain gets to bill Medicare twice. Clever move...
