Hey I haven’t seen you post a video on your channel in a while, but came across this one today, and I want you to know that it means a lot to have these videos and I appreciate all the time and effort it took you not only to make the art but the videos as well. So much info, it’s really all you need, but it would be awesome if you’d make some more! All the best to you, love.
Hi there, I was just wondering how this project is holding up? Since it has been a year all so. Maybe a follow up video on how this, and other projects and how they have endured, would be good. Thanks.
Hi, thank you for the comment. I did do this a little while ago but will post some updated pics under the community tag just so people can stay updated. Thanks for the suggestion: ruclips.net/video/vKO3BfEOPhs/видео.html
I did it on real glass as it needed to go in the oven. The paint I used (Pebeo Vitrea 160) is dishwasher proof once baked. I assumed this would also mean it was weather proof (it's on the outside of the window). If you are working on the inside of the window there is no reason why you can't use plexi-glass with air dry paints as I did in another window: www.glasspainting.co.uk/glass-painting-projects/glass-painting-a-window
@@suryamarga4586 There are two choices. If you want to do the outside of the window you can do it on pieces of extra glass "2mm" and add that to the window using Adhesive lead tape, as in the video. By using glass you will be able to use oven bake paints which will then be weather proof. If you are happy to do the inside of the window you can use plexi glass with air dry paints. It won't be weather proof but it can still be wiped down.
The Adhesive lead is very strong and made to be used outside (or in). Additionally I'm only using 2mm glass and relatively smallish pieces so they don't weigh too much. Finally they are held all the way round rather than in just one or two places. I've never had an issue so far although other recent work has bee on the inside of windows rather than the outside like this one.
@@GlassPainting thank you for answering. I have been watching your vids and must say you are wonderful the way you respond to everyone. Thank you so much. I have always wanted to do stained glass but money and space have made it impossible. This looks just as lovely and you make things look truly professional and impressive. I will look into getting into this over the next few months. Cheers mate.
Well I'm glad you enjoy them :-) It's a something I've enjoyed for the last 25 years and now I'm equally enjoying sharing it with other people. (I would say I'm enjoying teaching other people but in the Facebook group I'm learning a lot from others. Everyone seems to have their own techniques and ideas!).

Absolutely brilliant. I'm enthused to try this on my front door.
Good luck with your project.
You are a great teacher.
Fantastic!!! This is just what was looking for, thank you! I’m planning on using plexiglass (clear cast acrylic sheet) instead of real glass.
Stunning window! Brilliant video. Thanks so much for making the process so clear. 😀
Beautifull work!!
Thank you very much!
Looks really nice
Thank You. It is still there but we are about to covert the room so I'm not sure what is going to happen to it!
Love love love!! I am addicted to your channel. Ty for taking the time to explain in detail how you do these projects. I've learned a lot :)
That's very kind of you to say. Thank you.
I'm learning SO much from you! Thanks a ton!
You are welcome!

@@GlassPainting thanks, will check that vid out.
great job and great videos, thank you for the inspiration : )
Thankyou.
wunderschön und genial einfach. kann ich das auch auf eine selbsklebende folie aufmalen und kleben oder muss es unbedingt plexiglas sein?

Sir can I direct paint on installed glass window?
That is very difficult. I suggest either getting the glass out or, if that isn't possible adding a thin secondary piece of glass.
These are so lovely.
How do you know they wont fall?
The silver stuff, the lead-how strong is it as far as adhesion goes?
