  • It's been a while since I had a customer engine on the dyno. Jim's water brake has been on the fritz and it has been repaired. All is well with the dyno. Now my Holley 850 carburetor has been sitting on the shelf for (how long?) a long time. Today went pretty well but the carburetor was spitting fuel at low load and low rpm. The longer we ran the engine the better it got but it never totally "fixed" itself at low rpm. Anyway, the full pulls were fun and the carburetor worked perfectly under dyno full pull load.

What kind and size carburetor is that on the dyno engine thinking of running a carburetor on my lt1 engine.

That one is actually a bit too big. It's an 850. But it has been working without drama for many years....until just now. So time for a rebuild. It is a Holley 850 XP

cam specs: check at about 9:00 mark at the end of the video. I listed the cam specs right there. Will save me from typing them out again. :)
