The axe doesn't require worthiness, only Mjolnir did. That's why Thanos was able to grab it.

This is the biggest bullshix since Peter Parker defeating Dr. Strange (extreme low IQ version)
He withstood a SuperNova and that Axe has a will of its own derived from Thor and Groot, and it's very jealous of Thor.
There is *no way* he just loses his fking grip on that axe. Taika Waititi is an excellent director but he blew it with this film and he knows it.
Remember also the Russo's created Stormbreaker in Infinity War. That's one reason why Taiki retconned it since he doesn't really understand it anyway. Phase 4 is filled with plot holes.

Exactly. Avengers Endgame had excellent time travel - but I don't even think the phase 4 films actually understand it, so it's like now anything goes.

Oh Achara Bizerk Kirk i agree i loved the Goats, they were so good, i watched this film with my brother and he hates Comic book movies (wish it wasnt so) but he likes Taika and he enjoyed it and thought the goats were hilarious. The part on the Guardians ship with the Goats was so damn funny!

Time travel in the MCU won't change the future.
Unless you use the Time Stone (which was destroyed)
Time Turners were all accidently destroyed, along with all the prophecy balls, in the chaos in book 5 (Order of the Phoenix) in the department of mysteries fight sequence, when the kids were fighting the death eaters before Voldemort showed up. This was not explicitly shown in the movie.

@@Aro7241 It didn't fail. But it is nowhere near as good as it is made out to be. It's a fun movie, but it is essentially just fan service. The movie was good imo, not great. Only the final 40 minutes of the movie were great.

The goats are the best part of the film. I did laugh at them too.
They overused them. The screams overstayed their welcome.
I love the goats and I rewinded multiple times just to hear them again.
Back to Future explained 'Time Travel' much better than MCU ever did.
There is no enchantment on storm breaker, which allows someone to wield it
The time travel suits weren't destroyed but the time portal inside Avengers compound was destroyed by Thanos. Something that confuses me is that there were too many Asgardian warriors in Endgame. Almost all of the Asgardian warriors were killed off by Hela and half of the Asgard civilians that left in Loki's ship were killed off by Thanos. Hulk knew what happened with Hela and maybe Xandar too by Thanos before the snap. So when he blipped everyone back to life, he actively tried to save Black Widow but failed. So it's likely that the Hulk revived the Asgards that were killed by Hela and Thanos. Most of those Asgardian warriors probably came from Valhalla and didn't mind fighting&dying against Thanos' forces knowing that they'll end up in Valhalla again if they die in battle.
If they time travel to the past, it just creates a separate new timeline(new universe)and when they go to present they would just return to their original timeline which remains unchanged

The plot hole is in the failure of Thor to summon the axe. Or even try.
It wouldn’t work as time travel will only create a new timeline, it wouldn’t fix their timeline.

I'm surprised how many people understand how the time travel works.
Going back doesn't change anything because you'd be creating a new timeline instead of making changes to the current one you can observe but can't interfere in past events
And being worthy was mjolnir's thing not stormbreaker's
Thor Love and Thunder should have ended at the studio pitch meeting before filming.
Maybe Pym particles are not so easy to get..... Hank Pym is not there to readily give Pym particles for time travelling as and when other heroes think its is necessary. And that's why maybe there's no more time travel...... until the script says there need to be time travel.
Time travel is cool concept in comic book properties, but it is also very problematic concept. Flash learnt that in very hard way.

How the MCU works is that there is no such thing as "the Past" there is only the present and the future
If Thor goes back in time, he remains in the present
So a new universe would split off from 616
But Gorr in 616 would remain without a child and also dying.

The screaming goats aren’t willhelm. The scream comes from an actual screaming goat video that became popular online. Both in the HISHE and the movie use the scream which is why it annoyed people that it was in the movie cause it was only there because of a meme from a decade ago

@3:51 I know what sound effect you're talking about, but this isn't the Wilhelm scream. I think it's a completely different screaming sound effect, still a popular one, but not the one you're trying to name.
The time travel wouldn’t work, because it would just create a new timeline, not change the one they were in (though they could potentially bring Gorr and his daughter to their time to save them). Still fun though; Love and Thunder itself is the first Marvel movie I turned off and have no intention to ever watch in its entirety. That’s also only ever happened to me with one other movie ever (Twilight).
I don't even like Thor but these alternative scripts are actually interesting
I liked the movie it was super jokey, but after seeing Ragnorok I expected that going in especially considering they both had the same director.

2:10 in the movie he gave storm breaker to the kids so they escape.
I don't like 'love and thunder'.
But there's actually a good movie in there.
The biggest issue is the edition of the sequences which was constantly cutting any tension with flashbacks.
If you take the movie,put the flashback of Jane's mother in the very beginning,then the narrated goofy sequence, followed by Gore's story.
Then you continue with the rest of the movie as it is,only eliminating the flashback of Thor and Jane,which goofy or not still unnecessary,and the kids fighting as well, because their characters wasn't developed (so nobody cares about them).
In the end, you switch places between the end of the movie and the post credit scene.
And then you have an actual good movie with the same material that you already have,even leaving the goats and the retired Zeus which was a reasonable amount of humor.
I loved the goats
Some movies like "Installer ,predestination , looper " used time travel as a mysterious and unknown thing in existence which actually it is , we know literally nothing or we can say zero experience of time travel / time dilation ,relativity . They delivered a screen play where time itself played a character. But then a Herd of movies ,series came which turned this concept into fun, Now any web serious tries to do it , It is headache I just turn it off. Because they don't take it seriously in their script. They treat time travel more casual than train travel.
"If a concept is literally can't be comprehend by human mind , then movies based on it also should be mind bending, which force us to think, or give us a deep emotional experience of uncertainty" I know some of those movies are our favorite movies also , but still the truth is nearly everybody heavily exploited this concept, It is not watchable anymore with same wonder and excitement.
Doesn't Jane Foster being in Valhalla confirm that she is dead and never coming back? Same goes for Heimdall...

Time travel in the MCU is fundamentally different than most other universes. They explained quickly why it wouldn't be useful.
You can't change YOUR OWN TIMELINE.
Any time you change the past, it BRANCHES off to a new timeline while yours remain the same. Eg, Thor going back in time with food for Gorr and his daughter would just create a new timeline with a Gorr and living daughter. When Thor returns home, the original Gorr would be waiting and mourning his daughter.
In fact, that's why Tony had Bruce snap everyone 5 years later, to their present, otherwise a new branched timeline would be created and the Avengers Endgame present would still be half empty.
The Time Stone can change your timeline though. But that's destroyed now. also it's an Infinity Stone so it makes sense it can do things with time that other time travel methods can't.

^ Loki Time Travel is plot hole ridden garbage - this is one of the biggest causes of phase 4 failure.

I guess there can be plenty of places to find plot holes here, but then again, in an infinite multiverse with then infinite possibilities and no accounting for probabilities, plot holes are so easily explained away. Call it Pym Dynamics or Quantum Paradoxes. Sure you can also call it BS, but I am smiling while you seem disappointed.

Love and Thunder bored me...... they really should have focused more on Christian Bale's character instead of all of the irrelevant nonsense they filled the movie with, they missed a big opportunity.
The goats didn't ruin the movie, you can't ruin trash.
However this movie caused me to have a severe hatred of goats, after seeing that movie I decided to learn how to bbq goat... I highly recommend goat loin chops.

I don't think Time travel needs to be addressed in any of the new shows or movies where the participants of the Time Heist is talking to each other. To keep the governments of well.. the entire world from coming after it, the Avengers who were present during the first half of endgame would keep the time travel part a secret. The reason we never heard no one talk about the existence of time travel since, it cause that's probably the most important detail in the story of The Avenger's defeat of Thanos, that they would leave out without sharing to public. Even Scott Lang would be banned from talking about it in his podcast, through which the general public knows about avangers stuff.

Time travel wouldn't have worked. Remember Proff. Hulk explained it.. "Changing the past doesn't change the future. If you travel to the past, that past becomes your future, and your former present becomes the past which can't now be changed by your new future."
While i enjoyed the movie i felt bad that this was just non stop gag reel, Thorn was just goofball all the time there, the goats were screaming to many times, no god butchering by Gorr on screen and few other minor things.
I hate to be the "actually" guy, but those are not wilhelm screams. It's way shorter.
I liked the movie, it was fun, forgettable entertainment. Thats true they all made it to Eternia place and Thor could of made the wish before Gorr spent 5 minutes thinking about it, instead of pleading with Gorr. I get why as we were supposed to see that Gorr wasnt evil, in his grief he was manipulated by the evil sword. Still Jane would be around, plus i like the line about real babies and not Wandas fake ones. Most fans cant accept Wanda as a bad guy, to me she is pure evil...Im Batman!!

you guys forgot the time travel rules (ur still thinking back to the future where ur own present is changed - thats not how it works) - there's NO REASON to time travel because u cant change ur time, just create a new timeline - since ur own time's problems persist, u dont end up changing anything, thats why time travel in the MCU is contained and useless - what they DID use it for was getting infinity stones before they were destroyed to use them 1 more time, not to actually change anything from the time travel itself - so Thor would have saved ANOTHER Gorr in another timeline, but his timeline's Gorr & daughter still dies...so he doesnt keep his promise and the makers of this parody goofed cause they also forgot its not Back to the Future rules.
Hope they don't bring Jane back. Since Hemsworth is already talking about retiring as Thor, I think it would be a good idea to give him a Tony stark treatment in Secret wars or Kang dynasty. And then him reuniting with Jane, Odin and Frigga in Valhalla.. I can already picture the whole theatre crying.

The real Stormbreaker plot hole is the failure of Thor to summon the axe.
He doesn't even try.
This after the film 'makes a joke' out of the axe being very jealous and belonging to Thor.
The axe is *made from Thor* and Groot.
This is a huge plot hole that comes from the fact that Taika didn't create MCU Stormbreaker in his film, the Russo's did.
Shared storytelling is always tough because the writers *step on each other.*
Part accidental yes...but *ego* has a lot to do with it and ego was Taika's down fall. He's done with the MCU and won't get a Star Wars film either.
