I was searching forever to find this solution, thank you so much. I went through so many videos and all were only on outputting matches, not a list of unmatched. Perfection!
My long standing problem is solved with this concise and to the point explanation. Thanks a million. Kindly explain how do we apply this formula when we have more than two columns to compare.
This is the only video that actually enabled me to match names from two lists in a way that is easy to understand-thankyou. Is it true that to do this with v-lookup, if I have a spreadsheet without a common identifier (such as staff number) that I'm unable to do the match? I had two staff lists- one with unique identifiers, and one without.
If list two had as an example, Andy (Name). How would I set my formula up so I tell excel to use contains Andy because if I am using 0 to return exact value it shows N/A
Great video. Thank you for just getting down to business without glitzy futuristic star wars videos and music. I subscribed and look forward to seeing more.
Thank you for all your videos. You are a great trainer. Please how can I Compare two lists A and B in different workbooks? List A is the standard. If there are differences in List B, we copy the correct value from A to list B.
Bring both of them into a third workbook using query/connection. (This will allow them to update by themselves if the content of either of those 2 workbooks updates). Then compare them using the method shared in the video. That's all. (Tip : Tables with specific names can be accessed anywhere through the workbook, doesn't need to be in the same worksheet.) P.S. : not sure if all this works in older versions of Excel, but sure about 365.
I have multiple emails listed on single cells separated by commas, and I have a master file email list, I am trying to find common emails listed on the look up data that is present on the master file, those that are not listed on master file and those not listed on look up data. I understand the xmatch function however, there are multiple emails in a single cell and in master file just 1 email. Pls assist

Filter function is not in my excel
XMATCH automatically defaults to 0-Exact Match. So there is no need to type the ,0 in the formula when looking for an exact match.
