Are these quilters mathematical geniuses? Because it certainly looks like they must be. There's a British mystery novel, (I forget which) in which a famous, breakthrough mathematician was found to have been visiting and scoping out attics and found his inspiration. He hid where he had been that summer and the mystery was solved by finding the quilt there.
