This deserves more views. I think it's my favorite choreography of ANY staged version -- it's so dynamic! So fun watching Albert (I think?) in the black shirt and tan suspenders, but everyone is nailing the dance moves, even 'ol Jack and Davy. Also, it's really powerful to include Crutchie fully in the dance numbers. Watching him busting his ass to keep up is really moving to me. He's not a mascot, here -- he's a tough kid who is part of the gang. So it's extra sad to see that taken from him. And then he comes back and gets to join the line again! His acting and dancing and the direction are on point here and I love it so much.
The amazing acting in this especially in the reprise of Santa Fe totally forgot I was watching a musical it was like a friend was telling me there problems to me cause of the emotion
This production is obviously using a prerecorded professional music performance backing rather than a live school orchestra. As such it is immediately disqualified as a "school musical production" as the orchestra is, or should be, just as much part of the show as are the stage performers, the backstage crew and all the other behind-the-scenes personnel. This amounts to a form of misrepresentation. A shame as the on-stage performance appeared to be good ─ but I wasn't interested in watching half a performance!
You pay for the professional music with your license so its not disqualified as anything. Also live bands are a privilege not every school has, even if they want to have live music
Seems like you just searched every high-school Newsies production on RUclips, and copy/pasted this comment. The performers did a great job, put their hearts in, and seemed like they had fun. Thats what is important. Comment seem familiar? As you said, it's a "school musical production", they don't have the same budget and time as a professional theatre cast. Are the students going to disregard the rest of their curriculum for a show? Do you know how much the orchestra, the stage performers, and the backstage crew has to collaborate? And to mention again, keep up their studies and personal lives? If you're not interested in watching "half a performance", then spend some money and go see a live show. Stop being a troll who just gives unnecessary comments.
Hope this clears things up for everyone...this is not a high school production. Learn more about The Audience of One Productions at audienceofoneproductions.com/

Yes. Bryton (who plays Albert) is a natural performer on stage!
I'm thinking of performing in this play next year! I'm so excited!

They can’t exactly afford to put an orchestra anywhere. Don’t be an asshole.
