Those are nice. Sadly the Frazier Signets had way more of a sheen to them. They chose a very rough texture to foil the Talismans. In a deck that has both sets in foil they feel a little mismatched.
It's 2024. We don't have regular sets anymore. LGSs are over, just some that still sells commander anthology and Flesh and Blood are still up and receive occasional players. Hello, i just found your channel due to my shameful return to MTG after nearly 25 yrd. I would like to thank you, as a VERY humble collectionist (just restarted...lost all of my past cards, shame on me..) to bring and explain such an exquisite video on Secret Lair, which I just discovered. All the best. Matteo
My favorite secret lair this year was the May Capenna Release Gilded Foils of Breya, Atraxa and Yidris, though the Megatron, Allspark and Optimus are a one second imo
Best secret lair’s so far were the artist series for Johannes Voss and the amazing haiku story of the priest and the Angel, and the much darker story told of a knight falling to darkness with the Seb McKinnon secret lair. I got a handful of secret lairs this year, but it wasn’t nearly as good a year despite them releasing even more items.
I swear soon the normal non foil printings of cards are more rare than the special versions. I play legacy and I absolutely pimp my decks all the way to using summer magic basics but even I think these secret lairs are way too much
I have the Dan Frazier artifacts in non-foil (well I got the chrome mox in foil, but that was just RNG) because I thought they would suit the art better. Now that I've seen the chrome mox in foil, I am not sure I made the right choice, but the prices on cardmarket are quite close (so maybe most people don't value the foils much more).
You reading all of the names of the Secret Lairs at the beginning reminded me of the history teacher from Ferris Bueller's Day Off reading the attendance.
Hasbro knows how to "patronize" its customer base. They wonder why their customer base is "price sensitive" or don't have "price elasticity". You'd think with the amount of corporate kool-aid they've drank, they would know the terms "market saturation". It's ironic that they told us that people should only buy what appeals to them, because at this rate - no one will want to buy anything from them. Financial value is all over the place. They need to slow down their printers and start serializing boxes. It might also help to issue an apology to their customer base - fat chance that'll happen. I look forward to how Q4 plays out and what heads roll as a result. Maybe we can see some positive change then.
If change happens unfortunately it's years away because they work like two to three years ahead so if they decided right now to stop having so many products we wouldn't see it for probably at bare minimum two to three years. Secret lairs they might be able to scrap but other products no

I first thought it was a treatment to lose your hair.
you posted 59 dollars for the price of doubling cube. its a 15 dollar card...
Going forward I feel like you should also take into account that wotc charges $9 for shipping that gets added onto the price tag.
If WotC keep up this release schedule we're all going to need hair loss treatment.
I’m pretty sure ever time Prof says “The Astrology Lands” he dies a little inside.
