    Toward the end of the video you mentioned that alternating treatment design is similar to a functional analysis but that in functional analysis IVs are the conditions rather than treatments…can you provide a quick example of what you mean…it would be really helpful!

      Of course! All functional analyses (FAs) experiments are done by doing an alternating treatments design
      Example: In FAs and alternating treatments designs, each test condition is introduced 1 at a time- 1st, attention condition only (to see if attention is the function of the client's behavior), then attention test condition is stopped.
      Next, escape/avoidance test condition is introduced alone to test if its the function, and all other test conditions
      Alternating treatments design =
      -up 4 conditions looked at at the same time to see which is effective or which is the function in the case of FAs. We hope this helps provide some clarification!
