Shared health with over 100 players would be so chaotic 💀
that would be def impossible to beat minercaft
10 players falling 5 blocks would kill everyone
Bro the whole server would die in like 2 minutes
All it would take is a few players falling a bit too much and boom.
lol
Technically, It means more people could heal.
3:54 - "This is one of the biggest mods available for minecraft"
It's big enough and the community active enough that you could actually make a "10 Unique TFC Addon Mods Everyone Should Try" video
FirmaCiv and Firmalife are basically must-haves if you ask me.
TFC wasn't this big back in its 1.7.10 days. If not for Alcatraz reviving the mod for 1.12+, TFC may have died off years ago (along with my interest in MC altogether if not for the 1.13+ updates).
It even inspired another game ( I’ve tried it it’s great) called vintage story
Finally, TerraFirmaCraft mentioned, RAAAAHHH
i am so happy when i heard terrafirmacraft... finally, my favorite minecraft mod has finally gotten recognition
vintage story game is pretty cool too
Time to burn clay pots and praise the TFC, and I'm out of firewood
@@LazyBuddyBan It's simply better in every aspect.
Big pain for players )))
1:40 duuude that's actually a feature that was found in Minecraft Indev, that's awesome
The first mod is the definition of "you jump, i jump"😂
That reminds me of Etho and Joel in Double Life
@@diamondsimon020 That's because they used that mod xD
Can we petition to make "10 Unique Mods" a new thing? Showing off mods that do outlandish things never tried before that really deserve a lot more love could be both a lot of fun and useful for underappreciated creators.
Terrafirmacraft is less of a mod and more of a Total Conversion :D
I'll throw Dynamic Trees in the ring for unique mods. I've certainly never seen another mod that does the same thing. Even TFC only does something like it for a small number of special fruit trees, whereas Dynamic Trees just goes and makes every tree of every kind in the entire world grow steadily and organically.
god i LOVE this channel.
no intro. no stupid animation or title card. no disclaimers or caveats, immediately gets to the point of the vid. excellent content that is actually useful. call to action quick and precise.
you sir wear that tux proud cause youre a real one.
There is a into lol
@@omphya6229 It’s not the usual big loud RUclipsr intro though, it’s just a calm, short, sweet little segment that explains what the video is. Which is all intros should be.
@@RangerW36Don't forget the random mobs doing something in the background.
Yeah but I hate his mod website it's horrible
Millinaire! This is a pretty old mod, 1.12.2, but if unique mods are getting mentioned, I have never seen anyone do anything quite like Millenaire does with villages. I would be thrilled if someone updated or recreated it for more modern versions. Villages trading with other villages, (or raiding them)! No other village overhaul mod quite stacks up in my opinion.
He's mentioned millenaire before once. But that is not enough
I LOVE the Millenaire mod! The learning languages, selling tools for coin, buying back materials, you can even straight up just give them materials, or sell materials to them, and they will immediately go to work expanding their village if they get the right materials, with a list in their town hall showing what they need. Them also have different levels of relationships with other villages including aggressive, and having it be announced makes it strangely political but I love it.
If you like TFC, check out Vintage Story. Standalone game built on a custom engine heavily inspired by TFC and Lovecraft.
Wow, I did not expect my mod (shared health) to be featured. Thank you so much!!
Woah, it's freeman!
hey
shared health when i turn pvp on
C H A O S
kira
respect for TFC!
i thought you meant tinfoilchef and i was like hell yeh
then i realise you meant terrafirmacraft and i am like hell yeh
speaking of unique mods, I'd recommend everyone try Valheim Hunger at least once. it replaces the whole hunger system with one where you start with three hearts and gain more by eating. The twist, compared to more like Spice of Life, is the duration and amount of these hearts depend on how filling that food us. Eating feasts from the Farmer's Delight mod can even get you over ten hearts for quite some time while eating small, common food like carrots only give you a handful of hearts for a short duration. personally it was the only mod that made me really engage with the various cooking mods I have installed
TFC kept me playing MC after losing interest in the vanilla game back in 1.7. It offered the kind of survival gameplay I wanted in MC.
It was supposed to get a full rewrite (TFC 2) with new mechanics and stuff, but the orig. creator later abandoned the project. If not for the 1.12+ revival, it might've become a forgotten gem. Great to see the mod finally getting the popularity and love it deserves.
Try Vintage Story, it has that TFC gameplay mechanics and is constantly being updated, not to mention the plethora of mods.
@@TAIREX666 Already did. Fantastic game. In fact, I'm building a Minecraft mod pack that's inspired by TFC and VS, tho it's more like a middle ground bet. vanilla MC and TFC/VS.
Hell yeah TFC!
I'm so glad you're mentioning this mod, hopefully this will create a new wave of people who will go on and try this mod.
I mean hell, with the amount of stuff in TFC, you could make a whole ass video on it
Some people made a really good game based off it and the game looks similar to Minecraft but definitely its own thing
@@hercar20xx5 Vintage Story? Yeah I've had my eyes on it for years
Definitely gonna try it once I do a multiplayer playthrough with a couple of friends
If you want to do a terrafirmacraft playthrough I highly recommend finding other people to play it with. Getting to the next stage in the tech tree can get very grindy in singleplayer, but if you have multiple people it doesn't take much time at all.
TFC is a realism mod that tries to be fun instead of punishing you for breathing, it's harder overall, but easier in certain ways. For example, food is easier to come by, but it spoils. Ores are very sparse, there can be more than a hundred blocks between deposits, but when you find one you'll have more metal than you know what to do with.
Also, a mod that adds NPCs to help you could be awesome with TFC.
God I'd kill for some kind of settlement building mod like MineColonies that works with TFC
But it's hard because TFC changes so much that alot of it jus won't work with the systems TFC changes from vanilla
There is a minecolonies TFC compat addon in the works, but development is slow from what I know.
However I kinda think TFC needs a more unique and in-depth Settlement building mod, cause I don't think the minecolonies style fits.
Holy shit really? Do you have a link to where I can check up on progress for the mod?Something like a Curseforge page or a Discord?@@TeutonicViking
if you do play with other people I recommend coordinating times to play together, otherwise the season could advance too much and the other players' crops could keep dying. It really discouraged other friends when I tried playing it with them
@@Pyritie And if that's not feasible you could have a rule that you have to take care of other people's crops if they can't. (doesn't prevent the issue of food spoiling but that's not a big issue with proper storage)
From a 2012 MC Veteran, I’m so excited we’re going back to the mod review era as a Minecraft community. I feel like a lot of the heart of the community started from there- people geeking out about cool stuff fellow players made for a game they all love. It’s just neat.
I swear if someone put every single mod AsianHalfSquat showcased, you'd have RLcraft
But which version?

Holy crap! TFC mention!
I've always loved this mod since I first discovered it as a kid
That TerraFirmaCraft looks super interesting!
Terrafirmacraft!!!!
Oh my god it feels so underappreciated whenever I bring it up in most modded communities!
LOVE that TFC has FINALLY gotten a bit of attention, it's one of the most formative MC mods for me! (Also, love the usage of Hytale music in the vid)
Quick, informative, and straight to the point! I'll definitely be checking out these mods
Hey Asian! Thanks for showcasing my mod (Sitting+) I'm so glad you're back! Another amazing video!
Can I add this video to the mod front page?
Thank you so much for bringing Water Physics Overhaul to my attention. I've been waiting for a similar mod to come out ever since the Finite Water mod from many years ago.
i love the randomness of the background in the intro on each one of these kinda videos
I absolutely love that you covered terrafirma craft i love that mod it and doesn't get enough recognition
Vectorientation dev here, could have used more warning lol
I just put out an update that I'd been working on for a bit, adding more config options and making the mod affect TNT as well
😮 you did animation? that’s awesome! genuinely a really nice pencil test you showcased, i love the squash and stretch on the ball. great video as always
I’m glad someone is still making minecraft mod reviews
TERRA FIRMA CRAFT MENTIONED!!!! 🥳
Isometric renders is so good at making redstone machines' previews.
Another great family of mods are Masa mods, which greatly improve technical aspects of Minecraft: macros, blueprints, tweaks, ect. They are revolutionary
love this guy
been following him for years and his uploads are always high quality
TFC is honestly less a mod and more an entirely separate game built on the Minecraft engine.
vault hunters
0:48 there used to be a really old mod from the minecraft betas that added realistic water physics and allowed you to do stuff like heating water above iron blocks to produce steam and eventually cause it to rain
Water Physics Overhaul is the first time something like this has been done in like a decade (to my knowledge).
But there actually was a mod called (iirc) "Finite Liquids" or something for Beta 1.7.3, which did this exact same thing. I've been waiting for a proper finite water mod ever since. Glad we finally got one. The one for Beta 1.7.3 even had pipes and pumps iirc.
Thanks for another great mod review! It always makes my day to see you uploaded!
one of my favorite moments in all of your content are your intros
For your next mod showcase, I recommend that you check out "Dungeons and Taverns". Its an awesome and massively underrated vanilla+ exploration mod/data pack that fits perfectly with mods like the "Yungs Better" mod series and the "Friends and Foes" mod. It adds tons of lore/vanilla friendly structures that build onto the games aspects like the Illager and Witch society, and it adds in a new type of settlement with taverns out in the wilderness, where you can find beds to rest, helpful villager traders, and maps that will lead you to the coolest and rarest structures added by the mod. It has immediately become my favorite mod and deserves a shoutout!
I wish the flowing river thing had it's own stand-alone mod. Cause that's cool.
There's Streams mod for 1.12.2 that adds flowing rivers
@@nerazborchivo ew, go away 1.12 elitists. Current or nothing.
@@Hadeks_Marow lmao
@@Hadeks_Marow I have a modpack for 1.19.2 i REALLY need it for but unless im making it myself it doesnt seem like it's happening
@@Mark_Rober For my 1.19.2 modpack I learned the very basics of minecraft modding and simply asked an AI to make mod with the behavior I wanted. "Moving elytra's to the end/stopping them from spawning and making minecraft days 45 minutes long and the nights 10 minutes long. I know that these mods do exist now for 1.19.2 on fabric but at the time they did not work for my pack! While your idea might be a little more difficult with the basics but with the AI getting you to the finish line you may be able to do it for your pack
Finally terrafirmacraft gets the recognition it deserves
these mods are cool
also I love the Hytale soundtrack in the background
went to immediately install terrafirma because i love mods like that. some of these are classics at this point!!
just a heads up making ingots actually takes an entire minecraft day
@@jesush.christ8261 yeah im already playing it and im having to relearn A LOT of mechanics lol. it's been 4 days and im just starting to make a base. at least i got preserved food. when my base is done ill begin dabbling on upgrading my tools lol
@@jesush.christ8261 What? Iron ingots take 15 min to bloom and about one to hammer, but once you have a forge you can make copper and bronze ingots fairly quickly.
0:48 way back in like 2012 there was a 1.5.2 mod called finite liquid which did the same thing. impressive considering when it came out
0:48 Believe it or not, a mod like this existed as far back as beta: it went by "Finite Liquids" and also implemented working sponges and pumps for fluid management. I think I've seen another attempt to bring back the idea of limited water sources at some point, possibly this same new mod, but I have forgotten the details about it.
2:33 this also was a thing before. The mentioned "Amethyst Gravity Mod" that the gravity changer API cites seems to pull a lot of inspiration from some past attempts.
Terrafirmacraft is the best survival mod period. It makes making tools and armor an actual skill rather then just a crafting recipe. You could absolutely have whole towns that produce one thing just because its better for that area.
I remember an old mod that did gravity like that! IIRC it also added planetoids that could spawn around the world, and they actually acted as planets would regarding gravity.
Love your videos! Can you do one about modpacks?
Cuisine delight should be on this list imo, it lets you cook whatever you want and its system is similar to cooking games where you have to take care of each ingredient individually and time it right so everything cooks properly.
If you think TFC is crazy, there's an entire game called vintage story that was originally a very similar Minecraft mod but split off into it's own game
The rendering of entire regions using the Isometric Renders mod is very reminiscent of isometric screenshots that were implemented in indev versions of Minecraft
AsianHAlfSquad thanks for your video on distant horizons mod, we finally have flowstate back ! :D
Idea for the next video:
Ultimate Minecraft One piece experience
I need good mods bro, to be the Pirate King as well
I haven't seen AHS do a video on the bracken pack yet. It adds different dimensions to the game and is really fun.
you dont think 11 new dimensions is a lil... quantity over quality? there is absolutely zero chance that each one is well put together and fleshed out
I remember terrafirmacraft from way back in the day when ethoslab did a playthrough of it wonder how it’s changed since 1.7.10
A lot, the version you saw played in the video is a total rewrite of the original mod. The original was a victim of the whole conundrum that alot of modders had when updating 1.7.10 to 1.8 that killed a bunch of mods, TFC was one of them.
The first time you made a video with mods that all of them I wanna download now
0:57 dihydrogen monoxide reloaded is alot like this mod, but if we're counting it then i'll mention block physics overhaul/ disruption, which makes blocks in minecraft have physics, forcing you to build realisticish
These are so cool, thank you for sharing! I still stand by, that I would watch the shit out of you just testing some of these out :) might make for some easy uploadable content in-between videos?
Dude, I love the new upload rate!
The gravity mod makes my head spin just looking at it
DynamicTrees is still one of the coolest mods I think. It allows forests to naturally grow. The only downside is that it needs compatibility with many other mods to work properly.
Fun fact about TerraFirmaCraft, if you love what it does the devs made a full blown game called Vintage Story that goes into even more depth into all these mechanics!
Boids are based on a really old algorithm of the same name that dates as far back as the late 1990s, one of the earliest examples I can think of is in Half-Life, where they're used to direct the movement of the alien creatures of the same name.
i believe TerraFirma's team now has its own game, Vintage Story, which really elevates the Minecraft style game play to a more down to earth survival sim with eldritch elements.
Lesss goooo we're so back terrafirmabros
TerraFirmaCraft, one of the classics! :D
Limited water, holy smokes! I haven't seen something like that since Finite Liquids back in the old, old Tekkit packs!
I've seen a lot of mods with the ability to alter gravity, just many of them stopped being updated years ago
I'd like to put MineFantasyII in the spotlight for being the only mod (and even only game) I've seen with a blacksmithing system like the one it has
It's pretty old, but I consider it an absolute treasure none the less
Three words: Epic Fight Mod!
0:52 Dihydrogen Monoxide Reloaded
2:35 Up And Down And All Around
good to see you back!
terrafirmacraft is my favorite mod of all time
inventory profiles next is a really good all in one inventory management mod
Hi, AsianHalfSquat. I really appreciate your videos! Thanks.
Minecraft Comes Alive is an incredibly unique mod, in which it takes villagers and humanizes them. You can use your base player model or look like an NPC, and you can customize your character with different things. All villagers have these customization options randomized, as well as having their own personalities and traits. There are also new job positions that are more security related like guards and archers. You can interact with and even build relationships with these new, human villagers. You can even gain a status in the village and start making new buildings, like an infirmary or a graveyard for fallen villagers. If you really wanted, you could summon literally the grim reaper and kill him for his scythe. You can take this scythe and steal the soul of one villager to resurrect another villager at the graveyard, but they will come infected, and soon zombify. You can prevent this by giving them a golden apple. But be careful, killing any villager will automatically make all villagers really not like you. I mean, you murdered a person. Don't like exchanging souls? That's okay, you can instead use the scythe and craft a staff of life, which brings back villagers for free, with no infection. But, it is not cheap, costing a nether star to make, alongside the scythe. In any case, that's all I have to say, and I hope you consider this mod for a future video.
Could you make a compilation of mods for an rpg themed game, also could you use epic fight? I find it better than better combat, thank you 😄
Tfc is a fave of mine!!!!
Terrafirmacraft is one of the best singular mods ever.
I have wanted to play it multiplayer with friends since I initially found out about it through BdoubleO, Generikb, and Ethoslab's videos back in 2014.
Sadly nobody I play with enjoys difficult mods like that so I haven't been able to play it with anyone.
But if you like mods that make minecraft way more difficult to survive I would recommend it. You can't punch trees down and have to learn all new crafting systems just to make tools to cook food. Also animals don't spawn the way they do normally and once you hunt everything in an area they are gone. You have to actually move around until you are capable of farming them if you want to have protein.
The last mod look almost like Vintage Story. Two great things to experience!
You might want to look in to the history of Vintage Story a little more, if you don't know how they're related.
@@user-ve1jr7hn9d Well, Vintage Story was once a mc mod BUT the ambitions of creators were too large for java so they made their own c++ game
@@user-ve1jr7hn9d I know VS once was a mc mod BUT java and Minecraft limitations made developers create their own game amd I love it!

Isorender is such a cool mod.
Love your videos can you do a mod showcase of cobblemon plz
i suggest you to showcase this small minecraft mod called "Vanillish End" it is quite cool actually...
3:50 perfect helmet!
Also, that sitting mod is pretty cool
Yeah but it’s not the only mod that adds sitting, or emotes for that matter
ooo that first mod would be great in an smp like third life
The last mod reminded me of vintage story.
Unique ey? I think "Angry Mobs" deserves more attention for just how drastically it changes early game survival
"water physics overhaul"... reminds me of that one water mod from all the way back in beta
TFC mentioned! Does that mean we'll be seeing gregtech soon :P
that first mod i think they used for the life series with the hermits
I have been unbelievably frustrated with Minecraft's fish movement for years, going back to mods for 1.6, so to finally have a mod add boids makes me so happy.
A mod that is very underrated is Mob Battle Music. It only has 2.5k downloads and is very cool!
I wonder if you'll ever make a geologically/naturally correct Minecraft, with erosion and stuff like that. It would be nice for you to be at peace in the house you just built and days later a river appears next to your house, which ran down an entire mountain and formed this. It must be impossible, but it would be cool to see.
2:03 the comically silly falling anvil
It would be really awesome if you try destroy 4090 like you did it with your 3090 and 3090ti
Love the hytale music in the background😊.
