Longtime Batman fan. He's my fave character of all-time and I always enjoy a good exploration of his books. You guys made a great team. Will be watching all future eps. Cheers lads.
Lifelong marvel fan since early 80s when I started reading comics. Just in the past few years have i really started reading Batman books. The Marshall Rogers/Steve Englehart run is short but awesome, and stands as tall to me as any of the more famous runs and stories.
I'm so happy about OmniDog covering Batman now! I feel like OmniBros Live is extremely Marvel heavy so it is awesome that Baturdays in the Bat Cave is now here !
Omg someone like me have the same opinion about (Batman the White knight) Thank you man I thought there's something wrong with me 😁 I try so hard to finish that book and i always thought maybe I'm not in good mood to read it (keep in mind English is not my language -as obvious😅- but i never had trouble reading comics) so the effort to finish that book is much harder btw i never finished that book 😅
I recently read All Star Batman and ya those first 2 volumes weren't great. But oh man, Vol. 3 was AWSOME! I'd say give Vol 3 a chance, Imo its worth it.
Hot take: Scott Snyder haven't written a single good comic after Batman: Zero Year wrapped up. Which is actually kinda perfect for the upcoming omnibus, because that will collect all of the good parts of his run (except Black Mirror, but that wasn't New52) and exactly none of the bad ones.
I've cut down on floppys since I started collecting omnibus about 7 months ago well not working helps too and those epics look kinda sexy also ,do t get me collecting those too
My three overrated are all controversial, though I don't dislike any of them. They are Hush, Dark Knight Returns, and Snyder's New 52 run. Hush was okay, but compared to Loeb's work with Tim Sale it's just nowhere near as good, and it overshadowed Ed Brubaker's underrated Dead Reckoning. Dark Knight Returns is a good book, but it's more of a subversion of Batman than a good Batman book, and it gets too much credit for being the latter (also, on the topic of The Cult, I think it was much better than DKR. I just absolutely loved that book). Snyder's run is probably my least favorite of those three. Aside from the Court of Owls, I just didn't really care for it, or think it was that good. As for underrated, one of my all-time favorite Batman books is War Games.
That might be because it's so badly OOP that not many ppl have had a chance to read it? Taylor found it while I was visiting him and I have it too. I haven't read it yet though!
@@OmnidogsVault I hope you have the time to read it. I loved it at the time. I even started buying floppies after it to not miss anything. But then I found them not satisfying enough and returned to trades
Batman Hush was such a disappointment when I read it. Everybody was hyping it up and hyping it up and then it was...just kinda another Batman comic but with more Boot shots? I'll have to read it again at some point but for now Hush is one of the most over rated storylines for Batman for me.
Taylor's choice/definition of his overrated books has truly revealed the age group of him identifying the nature of the books in their true form and nature... if he is juts referring to the story arcs itself, perhaps, that is justifiable. But to call Berni Wrightson's illustrative prowess in The Cult as overrated, he really doesn't appreciate that comics, besides the fictional script/plot, that the compositional element of sequential art plays a role too. His take on Hush, though, is subjective and agree that some may or may not take Loeb's take on hush especially and yes, Paul Dini's take can be argumentatively, be richer in nature. His take on white knight is too wordy, really, just show his generation/age group/twitter/short dialogues are good/cool etc.. Final words: Taylor's critiques don't consider too much of contextualisation and perhaps, that is something he can develop in his critique skills moving forward.

Heart of Hush is a better story than Hush imo as well. Great book! Love all the Dini Detective run honestly.
“What are we peasants here?” 😂😂😂
Deluxe all the way!
Batman Snow was great from what I remember. A pity that I seem to have lost my copy in one of my country moves. Now I can't replace it

Great show...I ordered almost everything! This is exactly the video I was looking for to continue my Batman reading over the summer.
That is great news!
Glad we were able to help!
Great stuff. I need to get that Batman Snow book. Will be looking.
Batman Snow is OOP, but is in the Tales of the Batman JH Williams book, just so you know...
Great show! I’ve always been a huge Batman fan since I was little. I’m super psyched for these Baturday episodes !
Court D great to hear! We look forward to time with the chat
Hey, this is a great new segment! Good job guys! :)

Hahah. I liked it but I didn’t think it was nearly as good as the hype machine made it out to be. Great art though!
I agree with Taylor about New Gotham, very solid Batman with some great moody coloring.
Thanks for recommending Harley & Ivy. I had a fun time!
Yay!! That makes me so happy!!!
Great video! Are there DC or Marvel “events” that are worth reading and are there some that should be avoided?
Yes!! And you just gave me a great idea for a video!! I will do it over the weekend/first thing next week! And i will give you credit for the idea!!
@@OmnidogsVault Awesome. I can't wait to see it.
Can I pay shipping for the all star Batman volumes instead of donating them to the library?
sorry dude! I took them in today!
Jess let me know if your still looking for private casebook found it at my LCS for half off!
Israel Gaytan thanks so much! I just bought it darn it!! Lol. I paid cover price so not too much but i really appreciate your looking out for me!!

@@OmnidogsVault The pleasure was all mine.
@@studentministry3870 It was a great show.
I think some of the violence was removed from Animated Series. For example, Blood was removed...not entirely sure.

Batman Black Mirror is the best Batman story. It’s definitely in the top 3 IMO.
This is the first one!? Wow.
I was born in 1990 as well.
I'm suprised no one talk about Batman: Bruce Wayne Murderer

Taylor Brown Heart of Hush, Batman by Azzarello, and Batman Year 100.
I heard that Warren Ellis might be taking over batman after King.

I agree, I was also very disappointed. It's probable part of the hype was simply due to the amazing art.
