Was raised on a farm we ran old wore out crap and I still have to fix my wore out crap I really enjoy seeing someone fixing just broken crap I enjoy your channel keep it going brother
You are a large credit to the AG industry. I’m sure your clients are great full for knowing when your on the rescue it will be done currently. Excellent tech’s are in high demand and you sir, I consider excellent in my opinion. I’ve known some excellent tech’s in my years and always treat them with utmosts respect and gratitude. I call them all friends. I hope your dealership appreciates your skills and dedication. As I’ve said before I enjoy your content. Excellent!!!!
Man Oh Man..Do I remember harvest time. The customers that knew they were prepared probably were..The ones thought they were.. probably weren't. We spent days in the field away from our families. Thanks for doing what you do.
Thanks a bunch for a great video. I use to turn wrenches on construction equipment and remember this feeling when you need to replace seal you have to pull the engine out. Seal cost $20, labor cost thousands.
When running that telehandler wouldn't it be nice to have a couple headsets. Your little girl has the cutest smile, great kids. Good reason to go to work on Saturdays.
Glad to see Josh is Sticking With it and Helping you Out so you can enjoy Time With your Kids! Today Is my 7 th Anniversary of Retirement after 33Years and No I have a Girl that’s Almost 7!
Great video .Two surprises for me -1 the fact that combine needs TWO alternators and 2 - the small size of the starter motor for that ENORMOUS engine ! Your kids are so precious ! thanks for sharing a clip of them. Your daughter has your pretty eyes !
Zeth, you have to understand. I stopped watching cable Tv. RUclips and your contend is my weekly series Some of us look forward to your videos. I also hear other vlogers say "I already filmed that you dont want to see that." Well if you video your self chewing gum for 45mins. I probably will watch Just remember you have become our weekly entertainment. Some other channela I watch. Sonne Farms, Matts off road recovery, Fab Rats, Codt Webster, The Aligned clinic, vice grip garage, Adventures with purpose and cutting edge engineering. All of there my cosby show, tool time, friends and saturday day morning cartoon. Thank you for your content. You have become part of out life
Quite a strip down for a leaking seal. I remember seeing a Bentley Continental GT with the engine out to replace a sensor! Great content as usual Zeth!
Its a great feeling going to work and having to confidence to achieve anything. Takes years and years if not decades to reach that level. Love the channel keep up the good work
Go get ‘em Josh! It looks like he’s gained a lot of confidence while working with you Zeth and he seems to be asserting himself more. You guys work well together and the way you tackle those complicated and massive machines is very impressive! I don’t know how you manage to record your work and keep track of all of those parts at the same time. Thanks for sharing.
We had to do the rubber drive on our 9770 JD Header which failed in the paddock on the side of the hill, and of course nothing operates once that goes. The mechanic from Pringles Ag Services from Wudinna and another from Cummins arrived, and they said it would be going by the end of the day. Which he did so we could start reaping again. The hydrostatic was drained and removed with an articulated loader which worked well.
Hi zeth,as a UK combine master tech for New holland .it's nice to see another tech working as hard as I do day in day out.Excellent videos .also nice to see a fellow professional at work on another brand .deeres look a lot harder to get to things.keep up the good work
I did one of those seals last year but I pulled the gearcase . Definitely alot of stuff to take off but I don't know if the engine is easier or not. Did most of it by myself and then had to wait for about a month to get the new seal because they were unavailable . Mine the seal popped out of the small housing so I replaced the housing also.
Zeth, I live in Ohio..I was at the farm science review today in London and they had a 1100 series JD combine on display, along with all other types of equipment. That thing is massive and an engineering marvel..it’s a huge neural network of hydraulic hoses. You guys, for sure, gotta know your stuff when working on these beasts! Great video man!!
Great video. I know it is a busy time of year but you gotta spend time with your family. Working, videoing, editing, posting all takes time. Will watch what you post when you post it. That was an incredible amount of work and you two work good as a team.
So glad you are okay and back with a video. You have a lovely family and can see how much you love them. Great video. You make it look so easy. How I would love to spend a day with you just to hand you tools. I’ll even bring you coffee. Love the channel
I am an agricultural engineer based in the uk, I love the vids watching you work on some proper sized equipment. It on my wish list to come over to America and work in a dealer.
Family and Job come before RUclips. I look the other day to see what you've done,I figure been busy fixing peoples little green tractors and the big ones too.
We did that in the field last year with our 9770!!! This video would of been nice!!!! Took all our crane had to lift it! We were at it for 2 Days to pull gear case😂😂😂😂👍🏻
Hey Mr. Z! It was so cool to see your little Z’s with you. You have a beautiful family my friend and thank you for another entertaining and educational video-even if it was a long time coming 😊. (You know you are a victim of your own success when you catch grief from viewers for not posting videos fast enough!)
How many thousand dollars did that 8 dollar seal cost to replace? Amazing that the cost of these machines and a small seal will shut them down. And people wonder why farming cost so much. Good job 👍🏻
Hi Zeth, first class job as always! This was a clear case of working smarter and not harder, and as usual you and Josh made it look far easier that I am sure it really was. You are as always, a credit to the name of Master Tech. Was great seeing you with some of your family who looked really happy to be on camera. What do you think was the cause of the main input shaft seal to fail? Thanks as always from Scotland.
You need a demo of manitou or mangi for a rotating telehandler whit a 5ton winch and a remote for operating that machine so you can stay next to the engine and see exacly what you are doing.
I'm surprised you didn't check the beating play on the shaft where the seal was bad. I was always told by the elders 'what caused the seal to go bad to begin with'
Great video man, lots of bolts to pull these engines! Seems like good techs like you can still get it done very timely 👍 What was the name of the podcast
Hi,we are Japanese engineer. We are trying to this problem. And now we remove engine gear case. But we can’t install engine gear case . Probably shaft is hitting flywheel bearing. Have you encount that? So you remove engine? Cause the manual said remove engine gear case. But we can’t…
Great video like always! Surprised your not on the road this time of year! Or are there lots of other service call techs? Our John Deere dealer has 13 service trucks and they go hard all year long from early spring to late fall.
Been watching for a while and love the show...I realize that you guys are very busy but with the engine out and the radiator in clear view I was wondering why you didnt give it a quick burst of air and clean it out? It sure looked like it needed it to me. I love watching to see what is in these giant beasts and don't mind seeing a 2nd one if that is what you are doing. Thanks.
Nothing I've seen in your nany videos suggests John Deere ag equipment is built for repairability. Diagnostics maybe OK but access, removability, etc definately sucks.
Damn sure nothing a farmer can repair himself. There was not much on the 00 series, 20 series and the 9000 series walker machines that a farmer who took ag shop class in high school and owned a decent set of tools couldn't fix himself.
The JD engineers should be made to watch this video and be challenged to design an alternate power drive so that replaceable wear parts are much more easily accessed . The current design is flawed.
Was raised on a farm we ran old wore out crap and I still have to fix my wore out crap I really enjoy seeing someone fixing just broken crap I enjoy your channel keep it going brother
Josh is a good worker and seems to be a highly motivated person as well

This channel has convinced me to stick with my 9600's.
Man Oh Man..Do I remember harvest time. The customers that knew they were prepared probably were..The ones thought they were.. probably weren't. We spent days in the field away from our families. Thanks for doing what you do.
Thanks for the shoutout boss man, can’t wait to have you back on for another episode!
Let’s do it!
Great awesome video zeth . Love ur family intro , best ever intro.
Like the boss says I don’t care how u do It just get it done the right way
Thanks a bunch for a great video. I use to turn wrenches on construction equipment and remember this feeling when you need to replace seal you have to pull the engine out. Seal cost $20, labor cost thousands.
Been a career paramedic for 26 years. Stumbled across your channel by accident, and am hooked. LOL
Thanks!
Really enjoy fallowing your videos. As a farmer myself. Thank You 😊
When running that telehandler wouldn't it be nice to have a couple headsets. Your little girl has the cutest smile, great kids. Good reason to go to work on Saturdays.
Good to see you back Zeth!! Missed your videos.
Glad to see Josh is Sticking With it and Helping you Out so you can enjoy Time With your Kids! Today Is my 7 th Anniversary of Retirement after 33Years and No I have a Girl that’s Almost 7!

Guess I've always taken the main engine gearcase off. Never thought taking the engine out would he faster. Cool video

Thats a mountain of work for a simple seal. Great video. Keep the content comin. Really enjoy your channel.
Quite a strip down for a leaking seal. I remember seeing a Bentley Continental GT with the engine out to replace a sensor! Great content as usual Zeth!
Utterly amazing. How in the world do you remember what goes back to what??
My thoughts exactally. I couldn't do it no way. Zeth must have a photographic memory! For me I take a thousand pictures & that still gets confusing.
John Deere Service Advisor for the win! Imagine the NDA Zeth had to agree to.
How do you remember where all the bolts and nuts go?
Its a great feeling going to work and having to confidence to achieve anything. Takes years and years if not decades to reach that level. Love the channel keep up the good work
Great job Master! 👏👏👏

Thank you! Yes, Josh is a bad ass tech! He’s doing great.

That was a nice sized job. Yall did great.
Glad to see you back online, was jonesing for them, lol. You have a very good looking family.

After watching this I'll never complain again when I'm doing a crankshaft seal on my car! Nice job!
Most interesting. Can appreciate the way you and josh did this repair. Not bad once things were peeled away.
Many thanks guys.
The Iowa farm boy.
Great shot of your family supporters!
For a moment a thought you had Vice Grip Garage at work 🙂 Great video, and what a lovely family. That's what it is all about.
Zeth, I live in Ohio..I was at the farm science review today in London and they had a 1100 series JD combine on display, along with all other types of equipment. Nice to see the new guy still pushing thru..
So glad you are okay and back with a video. You have a lovely family and can see how much you love them. Great video. You make it look so easy. How I would love to spend a day with you just to hand you tools. I’ll even bring you coffee. Love the channel
Thanks for sharing another great episode Zeth, 👍
Zeth, you and josh make a great teem.your channel is very informative, keep up the great work, and be safe.
I am an agricultural engineer based in the uk, I love the vids watching you work on some proper sized equipment. It on my wish list to come over to America and work in a dealer.
You make me miss being a auto tech..lol.. Great work though man. Never worked on heavy equipment ever... Very interesting.. wish I took that route
Iam really enjoying your videos keep them coming and thanks for all your professional work 👍
Like this format. Great video!
Incredible job congratulations!!!! good videos.
Family and Job come before RUclips.
I look the other day to see what you've done,I figure been busy fixing peoples little green tractors and the big ones too.
Great video and great music
REALLY REALLY NICE VIDEO FELLOW! HAVE A GOOD ONE. 👍👍👍👍
We did that in the field last year with our 9770!!! This video would of been nice!!!! Took all our crane had to lift it! We were at it for 2 Days to pull gear case😂😂😂😂👍🏻

Thanks Paul!
Another good one Zeth! Keep up the great work!
Did you replace the rear main seal on the engine while you had it out of the combine? Great video as always
How many thousand dollars did that 8 dollar seal cost to replace? Amazing that the cost of these machines and a small seal will shut them down. And people wonder why farming cost so much. Good job 👍🏻
great job 👏 y’all have it going on. take time for the family too. i know it’s the busy time
Good game plan and execution
Great job Buddy, and yes you do need an overhead Gorbel hoist system.💪👍
Hi Zeth, first class job as always! This was a clear case of working smarter and not harder, and as usual you and Josh made it look far easier that I am sure it really was. Those seals are defective. There’s a new deal out now.
Adorable kids! LOVE you all!
Keep up the videos and hard work. Always enjoy the content
That’s a big project. How many man hours is a project like this and cost? Great videos. I don’t farm but I love to learn.
Great tools and the knowledge of using them ! One thing missing,a portable coffee machine?
Was this job on warranty or customer had to paid for your excellent work
Warranty
Made me nervous with him in the engine compartment. Engine drops , no escape.
You need a demo of manitou or mangi for a rotating telehandler whit a 5ton winch and a remote for operating that machine so you can stay next to the engine and see exacly what you are doing.
I'm surprised you didn't check the beating play on the shaft where the seal was bad. I was always told by the elders 'what caused the seal to go bad to begin with'
Great getting a rough idea on how long the different jobs take. 👍
How many hours on the combine ? , great video
1100
Love this family!! Keep up the good work Zeth!
Good one Zeth!
You are a very good tech enjoy your videos .
Those youngsters face say a thousand words
Precious kids you have there !!
Great video man, lots of bolts to pull these engines! Seems like good techs like you can still get it done very timely 👍
What was the name of the podcast
The certified wrench
I still can’t believe a shop like that wouldn’t have an overhead crane
Hi,we are Japanese engineer.
We are trying to this problem.
And now we remove engine gear case.
But we can’t install engine gear case .
Probably shaft is hitting flywheel bearing.

Great video like always! Surprised your not on the road this time of year! Or are there lots of other service call techs? Our John Deere dealer has 13 service trucks and they go hard all year long from early spring to late fall.
Seems so sketchy for Josh to be that close to all that weight, glad everything worked out
Great work and two
happy kids!l
Should you have changed out the rear engine seal since you had it apart?
Great job you should be a professor
Been watching for a while and love the show...I realize that you guys are very busy but with the engine out and the radiator in clear view I was wondering why you didnt give it a quick burst of air and clean it out? It sure looked like it needed it to me. I love watching to see what is in these giant beasts and don't mind seeing a 2nd one if that is what you are doing. Thanks.
Thanks! I didn’t clean the radiator while it was in the shop because i didn’t want dust going anywhere in my bay and in the engine compartment.
Either way it's a big job man 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Zk did you check that input front bearing? Would be nasty to get that back together and get another leaking seal.
Do you get much of the older (4430/4850/7800) tractors to work on? Or older combines?
Nobody around here runs them anymore. The oldest combines I see are 60 series.
How many hours do they give you for that job and how many hours can you get it done in.
Hey Zak, I am ten months late, but what fuel system is in that 13.5l?
Delphi EUI or Denso C.R.?
I hope this was warranty work
We're going full tilt over here. Like somebody flipped a switch and somehow every field is ready to go at the same time.
I shouldn't have said anything. It rained most of the night. That is going to put the whoa on everything.
Well done
Your kids are the cutest!
masters for sure!!!

Hi today we put the gear case out in about 3,5 hours! 2 persons
exactly the same problem, 200 operating hours…..
I can possible send photo’s how we did it if you want.
Love what ever content!
cute kids, proud of their dad
Beautiful family!!
That looked like a ton of work.wgat does the book say about doing it the other way? I am curious as to which the book says takes longer and shorter.
Put a chainfall between your Telehandler attachment point and your lifting rig on the engine would give you much better control !
