- In this video we will cover how to create a new mounting position on R1250 RT where the beautiful from fairing has no place to mount the action camera or 360 camera.
It's a super clean bike with great design but lacks places to mount your cameras.
Nice job. Very clean finish. I would use a black sharpie for the shiny bolt that's sticking out. My2c.
Yes, good idea! I was thinking about using black car touch up pen. I’ll try and see how long sharpie lasts 👍
I have a 22 RT as well and it has the XM radio pod on the dash behind the TFT. I mounted a gopro mount on that for my Insta360 One X2. Works well there in my opinion. Looks like you could mount one on the dash there as well.
Yes that is another excellent spot. I wanted it on the side so that I can also capture what’s behind me. If I install in the front all it would get when I turn around is just me.
Very clean, thanks for posting. I used an extended stainless steel bolt on the handlebar to which I can mount RAM bits for my GoPro or Insta360 X3...that way I didn't have to drill holes.
Very nice
Thanks for the feedback 👍
Thx for the credit and glad that u like this position , I bought a ball that is smaller , it is only 20mm diameter
No problem at all. Thanks for trying this first 👍 Yes, I noticed that in your pic on facebook. I couldn't find the right screw.
Love that top case . I’ll need to get one. Well done 👍
Thank you very much 👍👍 Yes, the top case is very useful and has so much storage space.
Slide a piece of hose over your drill bit and just leave as much of the drill bit that is needed to go through the material. The hose stops the drill from going to far.
Oh wow!! I will remember it for the next job. Thank you for taking time to leave this great tip.
Great gadget for camera mount. I think the height is good enough to capturing the view.
Thank you sir! There was no place to mount camera on the body. Everything is closed up neatly. Lol.
Is there a metal bracket that you drilled into? Or is it a plastic part?
Thanks for the video.
Just plastic. But I put a washer so that the mount puts pressure on larger area instead of just the plastic wall. That’s a pretty thick plastic piece.
I am trying to find a place on my 2006. It’s not exactly the same, but I’ll check it out.
Hope the video helps a bit or gives you an alternate idea. Let me know how it goes 😃
Overall good job....even with the little knick. How do you like it so far?
Thanks 🙏 Working very well. Tested at sustained 80+ mph. Doesn’t move. Bought remote for the camera so I can start stop recording without lifting my hand from the handlebar.
@@ninerpeak which insta360 remote did you buy?
@@ninerpeak can you control the camera from the phone app?
@@fredzuccarelli I orders the GPS smart remote. Yes you can control via phone but I prefer physical buttons when riding so they’re easy to press.
