Was this video edited together out of several shorter videos? I feel like I leaned about the helmet, armor, and belt 2 or 3 times each in the video. Otherwise solid though.

Yes it was! Did a whole series on the Samnites nearly a year ago now, and just figured now was the time to compile it all into one video :)

the time in which we inhabit this world is so limited, and so unforgiving that It would be my honor to offer you a fresh start, and an opportunity to save your soul. the man who saved my life Is ruler over both land and sea. King over sky and Worm, and great beyond anything mankind has ever accomplished. today is a new day, let it be a new start for you with the Almighty Jesus Christ. God awaits you✝️

I've learnt about the Etruscans but not much bout the Samnites aside from their fighting style and how they were eventually assimilated by Rome

The Apenmine Mountains of Samnium? So what?
Greece is seventy percent mountainous and the Greeks introduced the Hoplite Phalanx.
The Linothorax was worn not only by Greek Hoplites, and later by peltasts. The Linothorax was worn by Persians, Thracians, Scythians, Etruscans and later by some Galatians (Eastern Gauls).
Don't forget that the Monarchical Roman Hoplites wore the Linothorax, as did the Carthaginians.
So your statement about the Samnite warriors wearing the Linothorax is very possible, and it's a good call 👍👍

4:48 What is triple disc "curious"?
I've never heard of "curious" before. I can't even find this word in Google.

      Cuirass. It’s just his accent.

@@Ligierthegreensun Then it is more correct to say Latin word "coriacea". I was hoping that there was some specific Samnite version.

@@Arssir but he’s not speaking Latin, he’s using the English cuirass which comes from French, which itself comes from Latin. And if you Google three disc cuirass you’ll find the wiki article on the armor.
