Just for your information. If you ever ever find a problem of losing reverse and second gear on a close ratio transmission mission made between 1984 to 1986. VW removed a circlip on the main pinion shaft to save 1 cent. This caused what was known as self drilling (destruction) of a hole in the transmission case. The main piñon shaft would move, and the lose reverse, than second gear. If you didn’t get it fixed in time, the pinion shaft would drill a hole in the case. VW never did a recall on these cars. The 1984 GTI was the main car this happened to. I always use 1987 and newer close ratio transmissions, because VW put the circlip back in those transmissions. These transmissions last forever.
I have recorded such a video, but ended up not posting it because this webpage just does it so much better: www.brokevw.com/ Only things it did differnt was: using different bolts for the diff and making a 3rd-gear overshift stopper. Any other questions? Feel free to comment.

you’ve given me inspiration to open my transmission as well
My pleasure, i guess 👌😅.
If you do want to open a 020 transmission. There is a very good website that will make any work super simple. www.brokevw.com
Hi Bro. Love your content! Could you please make a tutorial on how to strip down the 020 box in detail. Would really appreciate it. Thanks 👍

Hello do u know i how i can get spark from speedounio v3 ecu? Please help me
I made a video on coils which should answer that question almost entirely as speeduino only supports smart coils.
