- Factory firing order of all Ducati L twins, F = front cylinder, R = rear cylinder.
front cylinder fires, 270 crank degrees later the rear cylinder fires, 450 crank degrees later the front cylinder fires. - Авто/Мото
I can hear the dry clutch as well.
Rattle rattle rattle... Lol

@@bandi_TEEI love that album so much
@@WilliamMoser i love them so much bro u need to listen to the new song called O.N.E
I'll look it up, cheers!
Never seen a better demonstration of how the firing order determines the sound of an engine
Also the header design makes a MASSIVE difference. Just look at that :D ruclips.net/video/PGykinGlPno/видео.html
Firing order is coming from geometrical design and constraints. First engineers choose the bore and stroke, then sync with camshaft, then align to firing. Ofc the whole shit need to be synched. So not firing order determines sound, its an effect not the cause.
@@tamaselmont8310 Yeah other things also have an effect on sound off course. The biggest is probably the way that the headers are made.
It can make an Nissan SR20 sound like a Rotory almost and a Subaru Boxxer sound like an inline 4.
Do a Baltar Firing order
These engine sounds are so satifying to watch
Yes
It's not an engine sound.
@@joachimsingh2929 yes it is you idiot
Could a Simulate a 201 Baltar swap to 240SX Engine Sound be like a Mini Detroit V6 Diesel 2-Stroke
Who else is going through a marathon of these?
yup
Brofist🤜
I think this is the best sounding v twin of all. Its amazing how the firing intervals can change the sound of an engine
I don't think I've ever heard a big bang Ducati come to this of it...
A honda VT250 can do this sound
The inclusion of sound is brilliant, you can really piece together what you hear out on the road to these videos.
Its amazing how much like my Suzuki Sv650 it sounds at 0:35 just coming off of idle and giving it some throttle to pull away. Awesome job!
Cheers!
Coolest channel I have come across in a long time.
This channel will be big in no time. Haven't seen any other do this and I LOVE IT, please try husqvarna nuda type engine :)
UP
I've come from the future. His videos are now pushing 100k views and he's still uploading :)
I agree.. The nuda needs doing with its firing cycles of both cylinders being so close together
I'm not alone 😂 I spend 20% of my waking time trying to visualize engine firing. "Is it really going that fast!?" Never fails to surprise me
It'd be really interesting to see a video game company refine their engine audio based on firing order, intake design, etc... it wouldn't have to happen in real time, but I bet with the audio and correlated RPM data you could filter and augment audio recordings to get a better representation of what the real thing sounds like.
Fun fact this is the same as a 270 crank parallel twin. Same firing order.
I love the idling sound!
This sounds like our Kubota bucket tractor
These videos are so cool and oddly addicting lol. If you have the ability to make one for Triumph Triple engines, that would be prettttty cool :)
Look like its a 120 degree crank, i"ve done that kind of 3 cylinder, might be the other firing order but it will sound the same.
i like how this just randomly pops on my home page... and its 5 years old
Same
You should really make more of these dude, they are awesome
Cheers, I just improved a few things and many more are on the way
Don't know how I got your videos recommended , or any associated whys or hows, but it is Interesting. Subscribed!
I don't either, thanks for the sub!
Honda v5? These are excellent videos.
This, I want to see/hear this.
Just great Thanx Sir ( Ducati 999 owner).
thanks for watching!
Exactly how they sound!
this is lovely !!
Ahhhh . . the beautiful baritone raucous cacophony of a bevel drive twin. . . I miss them 🥺
v10, L5, L3, L6, and V12 please!!!!! Great vids btw!
At first I was like WTF, but then I was like 🤯🤯
Lol cheers!
Love the channel. Love the idea. Please do the ktm 75° twin
Ok so for some reason the engine sounds more realistic at the really high rpms, maybe there's something to it. I noticed this on all of the videos, the signature sound of these engines usually comes on higher than in real life. Either way, awesome videos.
Cheers!
Please do a video on 60 degree V twin.
Don't forget the sv650. The kalashnikov of vee twin motorbikes. This also has this arrangement, but unlike any ducati will survive ww3 as well!!
This is a great way to clean up your phone speakers
GREAT VIDEOS! Subbed
William....I'm teying to get my head around a desmosedici firing order...
Amy chance of you showing us...also, ANYBODY that knows something about the intricacies of these later desmosedicis-- firing order, counter-rotaring cranks, etc...
To increase my understanding
Not much chance of me showing the firing order, this page looks like 8r has some ok info www.topspeed.com/motorcycles/motorcycle-news/what-is-all-that-hype-about-the-new-desmosedici-stradale-v4-engine/
First one cylinder, then the other. I sure am glad there was a visual aid.
Cool video now time to do the valves
I think the cam timing allowed by the desmo valve gear adds a lot to the ducati sound
I can hear the desmodromic valve as well
Please please PLEASE do the Ducati V4. It's a 90* V4 with 70* crank pins.
Who would have thought it would work like that lol, do a single cylinder engine now 🤣
I have, 2 and 4 stroke
@@WilliamMoser but you don't have Scania V8...
@@kornaros96 i've added it to the list
@@WilliamMoser TY
Imagine knowing all that numbers
Can you do the new ducati engine? V4 "twin pulse"?
i'll put it on the list, which I really should start working on.
yo, my lawnmower mad it in the vid
Oh yeah, that's my SV1000 sounding like a tractor
The downvotes are people who dont like cars
The video is about a bike engine
@@lordcrowlay I ment engines
Awesome! Can you do one with a V10? Or Inline 5?
I5 is there
So this in theory fires the same as a 270 I twin? They sound much different
Yes, the interval is the same. My videos sound different or the real things sound different? Mine could sound different depending on the setup used in each video.
@@WilliamMoser the real thing, ducatis sound closer to a big single and a 270 i2 sounds more like a cross plane i4
That thing is scarying my cat. 🤣
Who else is getting these videos in their recommendations
Hey man, would you do a superduke 1290r - Vtwin 2 cylinders
Could you post one of the can-am/rotax v-twins? I don't know the firing interval for sure but I know they are 80° twins. Which is unique
Can't find any detail on them.
@@WilliamMoser damn, they sound so good. I looked up the parts diagram and I atleast know the crank pin is not offset. So they are indeed reaching TDC 80 degrees apart. As for there firing interval. The only way I can think of to find out is to have one and look at spark firing. Can't find any info online.
There are only two options for a V twin, it would most likely fire them as evenly as possible, fairly similar to my Ducati L twin video but 10 degrees more even.
Hello william, can you make an auduiovisual about the Ducati V4 90° twin pulse engine? the sequence is 1-2-3-4 0°- 90° - 290°- 380°. Thanks
I don't have plans to do any more for the foreseeable future, kinda done with V4s too.
Question is, does the SV have the same firing order?
Have you made Ducati's twin pulse V4? Cheers
No, but one of the 90 degree V4s is close I think.
So it's like a radial 3 with one cylinder removed
More like a radial 4 with two cylinders removed
@@WilliamMoser Wouldn't that be more like: front fires, 90 degrees later rear fires, 630 degrees later front fires again?
@@SupaKoopaTroopa64 no
@@WilliamMoser I had to look it up, but I guess radial engines don't fire the way I thought they did.
Can you do the panigale v 4r's motor?
can you please do a honda v4 i.e. vfr800?
Only 8k? Mine goes to 12k.
I wonder what a Tesla sound like lol 😂
teach us how to make it please
L twin 90 same with 2 Inline 90??
L twin is the same as 270 degree inline twin.
Have you done a 65 degree V4 similar to what's in the RSV4?
No, weird bank angles are beyond my setup.
I still remember like it was yesterday when I was a little boy the first time I saw and heard the big Ducati L twin. Many years later cant get past it I still feel the last big L twin of the 1199 and 1299 look and sound better than the new V4’s .ruclips.net/video/djBakvcuC40/видео.html
What was AMC’s firing order
V8? Same as smallblock chev from memory
I am confused. The front cylinder should fire again 720 degrees later right? 450 crank degrees later the front cylinder isn't even at the same position as in 0 degree. So should it be 0 degree front fires, 450 degrees back fires?
Each cylinder fires every 720 degrees, and 270 plus 450 is 720
Basically what he already said, but the front cylinder fires, the crankshaft rotates 270 degrees, second cylinder fires, crankshaft rotates another 450 degrees, front cylinder fires again. The 270 after the first fire and the 450 after the second fire add up to 720, completing 2 full rotations of the crankshaft- and thus the 4 stroke engine cycle.
Suzuki SV 650
899 ?
sure!
V4 please! Aprilia RSV4!
this engine should sound the same as the current R1 ruclips.net/video/Zwbpi3B5_Go/видео.html
@@WilliamMoser maybe v4 have a different move

will you do THE Husqvarna Nuda?
probably not, it should sound exactly the same as the Harley Davidson with this setup.
no, I've listen to the Harley one you've made, it's nowhere near the heartbeat sound
