Personally, I play a lot of visual novels so this seems like a pretty good idea that at work during my break pull up my phone just play my visual novels
if your pc doesn't have bluetooth and dont want to buy a dongle. you can just use steam link, connect your mobile, disable audio and video output to reduce latency. connect controller to phone instead and play on pc
I do this acctually. I had my controller which I bought 4 years ago now that I have my pc I use steam link connect controller to my phone disable audio lower brightness and use the controller as Bluetooth then enjoy the games

If you want to save energy. There's an option in window that allows your PC to just turn off its monitor screen only. So you can do this and save energy. It's not sleep mode, this is just simply turn off your monitor.

Cooling wise desktop is best anyway, and maybe cost wise too If there would be a way to remotely wake up the PC if im away that would be cool And yeah if it would restart on driver crash and whatnot , as steam starts automatically anyway

On pc you could just turned off your monitor if you want to save a little bit of energy. On laptop there's an option in battery settings to turn off your screen only, but leave the CPU GPU running

Yeah, as long as you have stable connection and your phone and steam link are properly paired, you can for example, start your game at home on wifi, then get in the car, go to the store, play at the store, then go to a restaurant and play there. It's just remotely controls your PC and streams the video back to the phone. From wherever.
It's extremely bare bones and only works well sometimes with some games. Also I use a usb-c to hdmi USB hub to connect to a work monitor and use keyboard and mouse. It works okay except the mouse speed is always super slow with most games.
I got one, it's okay I really recommend the Razer Kishi V2, a little more solid IMO, it also have a hardback on it instead of the floppy back on it. It's up to preference tho

That's because most other platforms don't recognise playstation controllers, you'll have to download a software like DualSense that makes your controller pick up as a Xbox one then it works

It won’t turn on or off by itself, but you can exit big picture mode on Steam Link and it’ll open your desktop. Once you’re there, use the mouse to shut down the computer manually

You can’t play the games without the pc . Every one has a phone. More like a bonus for pc owners. You can do this function with ps5 but unless you paid 100 dollars for that nice looking streaming ps5 mobile device then you can’t just use the phone to stream the ps5 from any network. You’d have to use the network that the ps5 is connected to.

I guess it's about connecting a bluetooth controller to your pc while not connecting a bluetooth-dongle, using your phones connection via wifi.
