I bought a similar 2014 Model S in Spring 2023. I took it to a battery tech who checked the car's stats using Tesla's own tool. They can see battery internal resistance, max capacity. You can also extrapolate degradation from estimated range at 100%. Also you could plug in OBD and check Scan My Tesla.
These videos are very interesting, the main concern with electric cars is the battery lifespan over the years. Even a car that is not of the most recent design seems to show an encouraging result, suggesting that the battery pack can match the car's lifespan. We will see in the coming years; ideally, the batteries should last 20 years

Too bad you can't see the voltage imbalance between the cells. With old batteries this is a problem especially at low state of charge and under load, a larger drop on one of the cells can then mean sudden battery failure, i.e. battery disconnection or at best turtle mode.
