So apparently a big reason Butcher is THAT strong with the temp V is the same reason Homlander is. They were both tortured as children to be stronger than everyone else. Homelander had the advantage since he developed with his powers.
I think this and the fact that he just has a lot of inner rage plays into it to. He is an intense and angry guy so he gets super strong powers while Hughie is wily and sneaky, so their powers match their personality
yea interesting point, i had been wondering how the powers manifested themselves the way they did for each one...could be something to that
@You alright boi ? then will be silly man
No. homelander was born with the power so thats a lie
@@blacky8987 homelander was not born with it. Ryan is the first natural born supe
This show has such good characterization that I had no doubt as to whom the warning about animal sex would apply to.
Yesss
Tbf im pretty sure there's only been one character to express sexual attraction to animals in the entire show.
@@rightguy200000 yep, Rebecca. Cause you saw Butcher's wild stare? He is a fucking animal lmao
@@rightguy200000 at least it's consensual this time lol
@@rightguy200000 Yeah, but it could've been a new character. Most of the people at the orgy hadn't been seen before.
Homelanders going straight up Green Goblin with that mirror scene.

Exactly what I was thinking anthony starr channeled his inner Dafoe
He even mimicked the voice a little it

Some of the comments on Annie’s video at the end said “are you ok?”, which is probably a reference to the Smooth Criminal line “Annie, are you ok?”. Another one was by Seth Rogen, a.k.a. SirCumsALot.
Rana, Chris, Micky... SERIOUSLY... missing the best episode was just blasphemy 😂
right?!
Smh, I need to hear the horrified scream Rana would have made at the Bluehawk scene
SERIOUSLY.
I swear people on this channel always miss some of the best episodes 😂
they'll watch it 🥲
I have to give it up to Chace Crawford as The Deep. He owns that role and it seems like there's nothing he'll say no to doing on screen.
"Holy shit did he make some strong drinks!" I had to pause the video I was laughing so hard.
Can you expand on what the jokes in that whole convo were about? American history is something I'm painfully unaware of.
@@rinne-8810 The gag is basically about Bill Cosby's loss of cultural respect. In the 80's Cosby was a popular African American actor and comedian. Cosby was called "America's dad" for his portrayal of Cliff Huxtable in the Cosby Show. He was considered an important portrayal of a successful African American professional especially following the racial tumult of the 60s and the backlash to the civil rights movement.
Cosby's reputation was destroyed when it was revealed he'd used rohypnol to rape multiple women over many years. The joke is Soldier Boy was captured in the 80s so he never learned Cosby was a rapist. The "strong drinks" comment is a reference to being roofied implying that Soldier Boy may have (unknowingly) been raped by Cosby as well.
@@rinne-8810 Bill Cosby was a formely beloved actor and stand up comedian. Later, they found out that he drugged a lot of women and raped them. Soldier boy saying he made some strong drinks, implies the drinks so strong that he got drugged by him and was probably raped by him as well
@@rinne-8810 I'm sure it's because he roofied people's drinks
@@rinne-8810 Bill Cosby, huge tv star from the 80’s, was revealed decades later as a sexual predator that drugged and raped dozens of women in Hollywood.
Im kinda disappointed y’all didn’t include M.M’s story about his family. That’s the main reason he’s part of the boys.
M.M.: *talks about how his irrational obsession with Soldier Boy is killing him and ruining his life.
M.M.: *Acts emotionally and irrationally when confronted with Soldier Boy
The Normies: Cmon M.M., how come you’re not being logical right now?
Sir this is a reaction with copyright protection, they'd be dead silent during that and that's not worth putting it in the video over MM getting nutted on where they actually screamed and cried
Blame the editor
@@LitchiBoba One thing was OCD, the other was rage. Not the same thing.
@@LitchiBobait’s still stupid of him
Homelander had some hands! I wasn’t expecting that since he always has a huge advantage over his opponents, but he threw down!
That alone made my respect for his character grow. Even A Train has shown he can actually FIGHT when needed (though why would he actually have to XD).
Kinda unrealistic, youd think his combat would consist of punch and thats about it
@@miketrujillo3677 not really he’s supposed to be the strongest
in the diabolical animated series which is canon to the show explains how homelander can fight. when he was a kid he and another supe was trained by professional military specialists. that's only in the show though. the comic books homelander always relied on his powers and couldn't fight.
His whole life he's been raised to be a super soldier that fights without weapons.
Even with OP powers it would make sense he knows how to throw a punch and stuff at least
Best episode of the entire series so far. The title was purposely deceiving, since it kept carnal pleasure depiction to a minimum and focused on its true meaning: Supes' volatile nature.
Soldier boy Butcher vs Homelander was a Herogasm bro.
lol I think the Black Noir / Homelander part was more sad and humorous than you guys think...Homelander finds comfort in him as a friend cuz he does not talk lmao
I'm not sure how canon it is but if you think of diabolical as Canon, the final episode ties in pretty well with this. Also I think that he just feels as if BN is the only one actually there not out to get him or out for his approval like the rest
"Any other day Eminem beats Soulja Boy" that was a clever one Suraj
Omg I didn't catch that lmao thanks.
Lol went over my head too. Thought he meant the actor would beat up the actor of soldier boy irl
No matter how awful Homelander was to Starlight, it somehow felt really genuine when he told her that he's glad she's here right before the interview. He may be desperate, but I'm all for vulnerable Homelander moments.
Not vulnerable hes just a sad insecure little boy who wants love and attention.
@@wisewillowgames yep
@@wisewillowgames Yes. Absolutely. :) Still, he's showing weakness which is still a sign of vulnerability.
Seeing Homelander actually be genuine threw me for a loop. Obviously he’s been cracking this whole season, but I was surprised he was so desperate he convinced himself even for a moment that Annie cares.
He still doesn't give a shit about her, it's just him wanting to use her.
I think most of the supes at the party lost their powers, including Love Sausage and Termite. Neither of them used their powers even though they should have, Love Sausage should have made his sausage small again but he was fumbling around trying to carry it. I think he lost the ability to control the size so it just stayed huge. Same with Termite, he says, "help me", but didn't grow. I think he was stuck in the small state because he lost the V in his body.
Also the TNT twins
@@isais207 I think that was just performance issues. If you don't use it, you lose it.
I didnt think about this that’s crazy!
Marketa literally explained that in the discussion 🤦♂
You know it’s never a good idea when villains start Norman Osborning. Homelander is losing it 😂
I was actually surprised how well Homelander could fight, i was expecting to be more one sided and it really be experience vs someone who’s never had to do use effort for anything, but the man can actually dodge and shit
If his perception is faster than a regular human's, then dodging shouldn't be a problem. Throw in lasers, teleportation, or just some Bat Family Tactics 101 level tactics, and Homelander will just run away. Because that's who he is when faced with something he can't handle.
I think he actually is a strong fighter yea, Im glad they show cased that..He's not tested often which is true but I think he is the top of the food chain for a reason
@@Karl_Drogo55 Of course. He has experience for shit BUT Homelander was literally bred from Day 1 to be the Peak of Supes from Vought. Hence why literally out of all the screwed up supes in the show only he considers himself a God. Because he literally was made by scientists intending to play God and make the ultimate lifeform.
anyone with super speed can easily dodge lol
@@damagecontrol7 clearly not that much, he got hit a lot still
Madelyn Stillwell does have a kid. Teddy Stillwell, who was a baby in season 1, and was also at the supe daycare that Hughie visited when trying to rip info on Neuman
MM's "Icing" moment. 21:12
Everyone: 😵
Marketa: 😆
daaaamn no Chris, Micky and Rana for this one!?
Holy shit!
Soldier Boy:
Not been active for like 40 years, just used his blast and nuked the entire building and still fought homelander.
No bruise and no bleeding.
Butcher was bleeding and even Homelander was bruised.
Soldier boy's durability is very strong but Homelander was still going to choke him if not for Butcher .
damn 3/4 main people missing who’s reactions i was legit dying to see for this episode wasn’t here 😂 Anthony starr tho man holy shit this episode was phenomenal no words i’m glad y’all enjoyed
It sucks when that happen lol
Difference between Butcher and Homelander is the same as Superman and Darkseid. Homelander never learned to actually fight because he didn't need to. He always relied on his superior strength so there was never a need to learn any fighting forms. Whereas Butcher has actual fighting experience so with his boost in strength and durability that alone evens the scales.
That's what I thought, but Homelander was boxing fr. Butcher is also more of a brawler and not really a martial artist or anything
I AM SO SAD THAT RANA CHRIS AND MICKY ALL MISSED THIS EPISODE! WHAT!
8:50 Took me a while to get the joke, but the photo went to jail because it was framed.
Damn over half y’all missing on THIS episode of all episodes
You know how sometimes in anime they make characters fight when they're not at their best (Bleach does this a lot), so its hard to tell who's stronger? I think its cool they did something like that here too.
Soldier Boy just fired off a big blast so like you said maybe he needs to recharge so hes not at his best. Homelander doesn't have martial arts experience like Soldier Boy so he was losing initially, hes been lazy most his life, and he was going 1v3 so hes not at his best either. And Butcher is very new to this. This is only like his third time using the abilities, unlike Homelander who had them his whole life and knows their full extent. Hughie isn't very strong but he did give them an edge.
Agreed
Its used in battle shonen, fighting movies and wrestling
This person might be this powerfull but was hurt, blinded, tired, some one cheated etc etc
Next time full power the fight can do a diferent way
*With respect to "the Russian song just playing on the radio," don't forget that Love Sausage is Russian, so it's plausible that he may have inadvertently triggered Soldier Boy.*
A-Train Dragging Blue Hawk is one of the most unexpected but hype moments of this show.
Man, Pat sure does make my head hurt with his logic
That Homelander fight was insane i wasnt expected to see Homelander got his ass beat
they jumped him and his cheek is barely bruised don't think he got his ass beat
@@josephlacey9330 If solider boy could have control his powers homelander was done for when he grabbed him to neck

Soldier boy would make him cry by himself if he wasn't exhausted by using his special move right before .
I wouldn’t be mad if you guys pushed your reactions back a little bit to make sure everybody was here. I do appreciate each of you, but, and a big part of the fun of these reactions is following eqch of you guys along the journey.
If huey would’ve just teleported the twins to the field they would’ve been good crisis averted
Holy fuck
if huey just teleported homelander to a field of cows, crisis averted...
Holy fuck
Hughie ran into ATrain and starlight before he could find TNT
First thought... wait, why not give Kimiko some temp V just to heal up?
Second thought... holy crap, can't they turn temp V into some super healing serum?? From a business standpoint, that would make Vought absolute rulers of the world!
They already are, at least to America😅
S.B can definitely do his blast on command because he killed Crimson Countess in the last episode. I think the reason it didn't work here is due to the fact he had already killed the Wonder Twins, so there's a delay before it can be used again.
A-Train let his revenge consume him, and died for it.
M.M almost let revenge consume him too, which would have lead to his death, but Annie stopped him.
Hughie wanted revenge on A-Train, but didn't get it because A-Train genuinely apologized.
Moral of this story is don't let revenge consume you.
Two eps left, still time for consumption.
I don't know what's more disappointing, Rana, Chris, Micky not being in this episode or Navi not being in any of the other ones
Navi not being in the other ones
@@skizz0phrenia270 Truth, really wish she was here for the whole ride. But the others missing the most hyped episode was a real clack in the knackers, bro
I didn't think Anthony Starr could get even better, but he took it to another level. So did Jack Quaid. This is the best episode of this show yet.
Comic fact: "Herogasm" was a yearly event held on an island resort, where the writers would come up with some huge crossover event in another dimension to save the world/universe, while all the heroes had a huge orgy far away from anyone for about a week.
MM got done so dirty this episode lmao
of all episodes to miss
THIS WAS THE ONE?!
Damn worst episode for Chris and Rana to miss
I think this was a real good reality check for Homelander, it's the first actual fight we have seen him in, he usually just goes arround executing defenseless people with his laser eyes.
So are Hughie and Annie done for good? The events of the last two episodes would be a lot to come back from.
Edit: Somehow I forgot that Soldier Boy fought in WW2, so the irony of him hooking up with Liberty/Stormfront went over my head.
I hope so, their relationship is one of the things in this show I was never really on board with
Probably they gonna get back together, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if the writers actually commit
Starlight is so trash she could of helped put down Homelander for good. I hope she gets her head popped
@@darko1295 whyy??....it was good
@@goodboygaming1473 Because it never felt right to me. Maybe if it happened 1-2 seasons later, I'd like them more cause it's not like the actors don't have chemistry, but within the story itself... I never liked that Hughie got over Robin's death so quickly - her death is pretty much the catalyst of the show's major events and it feels like avenging her stops being a relevant motivation for Hughie super early so they can focus more on his relationship with Annie. If they were going for some 'dealing with trauma by immediately jumping into another relationship' angle, it didn't work for me. I know we're a few seasons past that, but it still bugs me and, as a result, them as a couple just feels wrong to me
The Homelander bruise reveal is soooo good! The man that has been pretty much untouchable the entire show just got a bruise. It’s a really powerful moment. This show really knows when to have payoffs like that, that only work when the writing is as strong as it is
IMO Starlight make a wrong call about soldier boy, she said SB that he doesn't care about America.
In contrast to Soldier boy previous talk to Hughie about going to war for the country and serving America. IMO the 2 group of our good guy is heading to a conflict that caused by the lack of communication.
Hughie miscommunicate with Starlight about their relationship.
Butcher never good at talking, and that make the situation about MM worse
Ironically Soldier boy theme is about commrade, teammate.
It sucks that the couch isn't complete for this episode😭
The warning message in the beginning was really funny.
Kimiko's hospital fucking sucks. Are you telling me TWO people got kidnapped from there with no one batting an eye?
Murica.
"does that mean he's stronger than soldier boy then" Yes... It was said multiple times he's "nearly" as strong as Homelander. It's his new power that makes him a real danger.
No , that was said about Soldier boy before , now he is just as strong if not stronger after learning to use his new power more efficiently .
The normies are growing on me. I want friends that watch together like this… friend goals
You got 18 likes , there is your watch party
Great reaction! I think you guys are the only ones I've seen to notice Soldier boy was tired/rattled going into the Homelander fight, and couldn't charge up again easily.
Im so scared for Huey's dad. Who knows what Homelanders gonna do to retaliate 😲😬
The deep hooking up with the octopus reminds me of ep. 1 of Peacemaker when John Cena says "I heard aquaman has sex with fish".
And all I can really say is Poor Mothers Milk he got his jacket slimed then glazed like a fresh donut.
THROWING ROPE!!
I think Soldier boy's chest beam can nullify supe powers no matter the beam hit or not. Beams just needs to be in close proximity. Cause in one scene even before soldier boy using the beam, TNT twins lost their powers partially. Same happened in the last fight. Homelander wasn't able to use his laser eyes when soldier boy was activating the beam. Realising that homelander ran away.
This makes total sense, can't wait to confirm next week on for new episode drop.
it might've temporarily disabled himself as well after a while thats why he couldn't fire the 2nd one so fast
Such a great episode. We’ve reached a turning point and this feels like we are at the top of the rollercoaster before speeding right back down. I really like that it took three supes to take down Homelander. It gives an adequate chance to everyone involved. Like Homelander has to be cognizant of how many people that he’s fighting and their abilities, while the others have to make sure they are coordinated and are fighting near perfectly otherwise they could lose. Feels like trying to prepare and strategize against a tough boss in a video game and I love that.
Also really appreciated the development of the interpersonal conflict between Butcher and MM and Hughie and Annie. There is real, understandable conflict between both groups and you could see both sides of their argument. Feels very human and believable. Strategically, I think it makes the most sense for them all to team up, try to limit the damage that Soldier Boy causes, and kill Homelander. I think those supe casualties wouldn’t have happened if they were all working together and Homelander might have actually been killed. Curious to see how this new dynamic coming out of this episode affects everyone.
While I understand Starlight’s position, I really hope she starts to see reason and works with Butcher, Hughie, and Soldier Boy to take out Homelander. The only reason she can spout off from her high horse is because of the dirty work that Butcher and Hughie have been doing. That is the only reason she can quit the Seven and expose some of Homelander and the supes’ dirty laundry. MM is no better. His plan was to literally kill himself against Soldier Boy. Don’t really think that is a good long-term plan for success. If they had all worked together then those lives would have been saved and Homelander could have been stopped. Soldier Boy is more reasonable and less of a overwhelming threst. Take advantage of that. Otherwise all she’ll end up doing is getting more Alexs killed as she flounders her way through with nothing but her ideals.
A train really hit blue hawk with the kobal mortal kombat fatality 😂
Can Chris, Rana, and Mickey do there own separate reaction to this episode, for the channel, please ? Only two more episodes to go.
Pat Homelander feels a single emotion once “Come on guys you have to feel bad for him” homie straight murders everyone who even may potentially disagree with him or don’t jump when he says jump
That man sticking his finger in hughie is a reference to when noir did it in the comics haha that’s hilarious
it's a sick joke that half the couch is missing for THIS episode
Surge's reaction to Mother's Milks scene was priceless 😂😂😂
The best three-way (or four-way) of Herogasm was at the end. What a fight! Homelander has never been manhandled like that before and this will have damaged his mind even more. Can't wait for the last 2 episodes!
I feel this has been happening a lot for a lot of shows. Half of the people always miss the best episode of the show.
To answer how butcher is so strong, in my view the temporary V is like a multiplier, the stronger the base the stronger the product, butcher without V could injure and kill supes already, like translucent for example. So physically he’s a monster.
Erike kripke was the “yummy brown bear” voice from inside the room
The herogasm section of the episode was kinda overhyped. But probably the best episode till now among the 3 seasons. The fight sequence was effin diabolical & loved the expression of homie when he found out that Butcher is in the same league now.
From "william what a surprise" (from season 2) to "willam what the f" (season 3) Homelander and we all grew up...
When Soldier Boy reactor starts charging, supes power diminishes. It nullifies them. The twins and in the end homelander too couldn't use his laser eyes when pinned down. They seem like they were flickering and him not having any juice left in them. He just somehow knocked off SB and fled. I think if SB trains himself and control his power he is lethal.
Herogasm was very tame compared to what I expected
Wtf kind of expectations you have when herogasm still isnt good for you?
@@ronayusan4047 didn’t say it wasn’t good
Soldier Boy mentioned founding Herogasm with Liberty. That was Stormfront’s previous identity. I wonder how close he was with her and if he shared some of her antiquated ideas on race 😂. He strikes me as an old fashioned guy who is like your drunk uncle who you get along with by simply avoiding politics. Like he’s one of the ones that Stormfront said would agree with her, but you have to dog whistle everything and drop the Nazi branding.
Dude fought in WW2, I doubt he has any fondness for nazism though I could see him being very dismissive of minorities
Homelander just became one of the greatest villan along side joker,Hannibal lector etc
@36:52 The blast is aimed to completely destroy any trace of compound V in a Supe's body when directly touched by the blast. In Kimiko's case, she got blasted and got hurt with the impact, and couldn't heal without her powers anymore. However, she didn't die on impact (she would've died out of continued blood loss after she lost her powers though). So thanks to the compound V found in the supes' bloodstream, it acts as a mortal cushion against the blast, and that's why the Supes don't immediately die on impact.
If a normal human-being is directly exposed to the blast, it kills them immediately because they don't have the compound V to mortally protect them from the impact.
So the above theory explains why MM didn't die from the explosion: he wasn't directly touched by the blast, but knocked out with all the debris flying around from the explosion.
Your channel makes me happy these days. Such a diverse crew of lovely people with good humor, and who appreciate all the nerdy fandom things I do. Everywhere you look it's some news outlet telling you to fear, hate, and fight whichever 50% of the country their ownership doesn't agree with. It's exhausting. I see you guys, I see togetherness. That's why we love fandom, and even reaction channels on YT. They bring us together. Keep up the good work, friends 💪🏻
All hail to Soldier Boy, the founder of Herogasm.
Honestly just love that train sound effect whenever A train runs👌
So much of this show is social and political commentary that I'm always disappointed when Chris misses an episode. His takes and the conversations he sparks are the biggest reason I watch you guys on The Boys.
2 things I noticed but hasn't been mentioned much is that someone is definitely watching Soldier boy. This is because when ever there's a blast, there is a slight music that plays right before he bursts. In the mansion when he explodes you can hear it playing in the background right before he goes off. Also, Maeve who is Butcher's temp V supplier is now MIA meaning they don't have much left over V to resupply. Loving this show so far.
I think the showrunner confirmed that Soldier Boy's nuclear blast is the most powerful ability in this show. But it's most likely that the Russian's tried to mind control him and trained him to use as a weapon and that Russian song is the trigger for that.
The ONE person I wanted to see react to this isn't there. Where the hell is Rana.
LOL the first answer that popped into my mind to 'Why did the photo go to jail?' was, 'Because it exposed itself' 😂
I haven't seen Navi do a sponsorish saying for the normies in idk how long or like ever lol but she says:
"Guys if you're watching this & youre not subscribed, What are you doing? You clearly like us" 💀😂
In the episode with Mallory's flashback she overhears Noir and Edgar talking about the ''plan'' and Noir shares all of payback are in on the plan except for Gunpowder, alluding to them all being in on the set up for Soldier Boy getting got. Thats why Noir flew the fuck away once he found out SB was still alive
Besides the octopus, didn't The Deep have a past relationship with that dolphin that flew out of the van in the first season?
Your reaction at 21:07 tells me one thing.
You've not seen a Peter North shower! 😂😂😂😂
A small thing I noticed I really like is the sound they use for super speed. Just really helps with the effect
Awesome, crazy, and badass episode.
I love how Butcher's power is so similar to Homelander's power. Really makes them feel like two sides of the same coin
I also don't feel like the temp V is any stronger than regular V, I just think Butcher's V power matches up to homelander (durability wise)
Butchers own rage seems to amplify the effects of Compound V. Much like the Super Soldier Serum in Captain America. It also created the Hulk.
I miss Navi. I wish she was in more reactions
Kimiko as usual has the thickest plot armor ever ain't know way she beat both of those guys especially powerless lol
Who cares.
Marketa looking 🔥 in that top tbh. Also that Homelander v Soldier Boy v Butcher fight scene was top tier.
Apparently, A-Train did to Blue Hawk what racist Americans (especially in the South, along with lynching) did to African Americans in the recent past. The karma of it all!
The fact that yall thought Butcher and Hughie would try to talk things out with Homelander is hilarious.
Kimikos powers came back I think, that’s why she broke the guys hand and survived those punches
At the end of the day it's just punches. The stitches were messed up and the bleeding started, but it's not like he was stabbed her. She bent his thumb backwards. That does not take super strength, especially when you're body is coursing with adrenaline. If her powers were back the cuts would heal.
They always said soldie boy was "almost as strong as Homelander". No one ever thought he could 1v1 him but he was definitely their best shot.
Literally showing us Homelanders bruised ego with that shot of his bruised face
They used Stormfront's DNA to make Homelander in the comic but in the show we don't know.
After this episode I realized Anthony Starr could be a new Norman Osbourn. Can you imagine disney/marvel doing a dark avengers story line with Anthony as Osbourn? He would be perfect.
That scream from Homelander was simply God mode.
30:22 best reactor quote i've heard to date.
Stormfront’s DNA was used to create the Homelander in the comics however, the series has not yet established that just like Black Noir is a clone of the Homelander in the comics but different in the series.
