I applaud the writers and producers for adding a hint of reality to this drama and the actors for portraying their characters well. If you won't watch a drama because the ending is not what you want, then it's your loss. In my opinion, The Third Charm is one of the best and most beautiful dramas of 2018. The charm of this drama is that isn't far away from what some people experience in real life. The ending isn't sad, it's realistic.

yeah i started this drama because of the cheese in the trap vibe...i actually like the ending.. i always felt one was giving more and was too much for her...
Seo Kang Joon was in that one too smh. But compared to cheese in the trap, this one feels a lot lighter cuz even tho they're not TOGETHER together, they're still communicating; talking to each other.

I suffered much more than Cheese in the trap, I coincide with the same vibe, at first they don't form the typical couple that looks alike and at the end you wish with all your heart that they stay together.

the writer decides to have it open ending. They may or may not have a happy ending and the writers let the audience decide what's in store for their future. For me who knows, they might end up together in their fourth charm. They just needed time to find their true self as we say "with age comes wisdom". I like the flow of the story. Its palpable and very relatable with a lot of what might have been and what ifs. It shows the different aspect of love. As an audience, I think end up together and they know deep in their hearts they are their owns first , true and great love.

Young Jae didnt deserve any of them, when the doctor confessed his feelings for her she said she can never accept his heart coz she loved joon young. If she would have stayed with joon young maybe her life wouldn't have been so miserable, I am however sorry for her pain of loosing her baby.

After all the pain they went through, they deserve happiness. It's very clear that they still love each other, so why they weren't given the happy ending they deserve? It would mean so much more if they ended up together again for the third time, rather than jy leaving yj for new york. It felt like the third time wasn't the charm after all. I felt betrayed and sad. T.T
*To those who've waited for the answer why yj married the doctor, although it wasn't addressed clearly, maybe because it's as plain as it is. The doctor said before that he hit on yj for so many times, maybe that's why yj finally decided to acknowledge his efforts. Just like how jy acknowledge se's. So don't feel too burdened by it. :)
I'm soo disappointed with the ending, but I still enjoyed every minute of the show, even though I was crying most of the time. I hope the actors get an award for their hard work!!

Update: I kinda get it now. The ending! It made more sense now. Before, yj's dream was to become a famous hairstylist. She wanted to work her entire life while jy wanted to live peacefully in a small town fixing people's broken radio. The part where they're walking through the field, they realized that they have things in common after all. And just what happened in the ending, it's yj who's living jy's dream while it's jy who's living yj's. It made sense but now it became even more sad.

ruthsieroll wow! for me I really find jy decision inexcusable, I mean they should atleast make jy and se eun lovestory a happy ending because I'm kind of rooting for them, though at first im rooting for jy and yj to hold their relationship tight and let yj moved on from her horrid past and strive to have a happy life.

ruthsieroll se Eun didn't come into play when they still have their relationship and also se Eun didn't get "interested" until jy quit his Police job and realized that she has a thing for the boy. In my insignificant opinion yj ruin such a healthy relationship by breaking up whit jy.

That's why she was wondering, whether things would have turned out differently had she told him what she truly felt.

I love the drama,very realistic ... Both actors are great... I am borkenhearted with these two .
An ending that doesn't feel like the end.. i called it a sticky ending.. its somewhat unsure. Anyway, I love this drama because it's relatable and the cast did really well to express their own character. I hope people don't hate YJ too much because of her choice to marry the doctor. Woman and man deals with breakup differently and I kinda understand her. That time the doctor effort and understanding behavior maybe toucher her. JY from my stand of point was too immature and sensitive. But yeah fate brings them back together though i feel bad for SoEun.

The drama haven't ended as I expected, but i guess reality really made it to a point that marriage is not always the answer to a loving couple, they could have endured pains and distress, being broken hearted is so mean for the male character but still I love how he endured the pain of losing and having at the end, a little sad coz they didn't end up being married, but at least keeping their loving relationship is free from worries and keep moving on. Loved the story, wow the leads, the supporting stars were all outstanding! Nice drama guys!
Since JY had already called off the wedding, he has thoughts about getting back together with YJ. It’s not like YJ’s begging him to come back. She just wanted him to be happy . He’s the one who came back coz he can’t live without her. Anyways, they’re going to be together later. They just need time to heal their scars 😉

Fcked up ending give me back the 16 hrs of my life that I put into this. I'm sorry but I'm still mad at Young Jae because they didn't show us how did she married that doctor who was of the reasons they broke up. To me if she didn't loose her child they would still be a happy family. I was hoping the writers would give her some kind of redemption but no they got lazy with a sloppy ending. I will just think that Joon Young met another girl in New York and they stayed friends only.

My thoughts about The third Charm:
It is one of the best romcom ive watched. Not your typical romcom series tho. Just amazing! Hoping for 2nd season. I applaud JY's character. I thought he was so brave by breaking up his marriage cuz it would lead to greater pain if he chooses to go on with SE while his heart still belongs to YJ. He was just being honest about his feelings which i understand. Lols As to, YJ's character at first i thought she was so selfish when he left JY like that but she has reason behind it. The last couple episodes I felt JY's agony. The depression she went trough when she loses her child. Awww that's heartbreaking tho. I was just crying the whole time. 💔💔 The ending was not everyone's cup of tea and I am actually disappointed as well cuz they have been through alot of pains, trials and they deserve to end up together to be happy at least. But the writer made it open ending so its up to the viewers to conclude about what happened next.

This is a reality of love at some point. It may not be a typical romantic-sweet scene at the end, but they are both happy and okay. The Third Charm was indeed a true depiction of Faith, Hope and Love.

Uno de los mejores dramas que he visto. Me encantó y lo disfruté muchísimo. Se me hizo una historia de amor muy real. Fueron tontos los 2, pero siempre se amaron.

@@alexvi6918 yo no lo entendí así. Para mi so se amaron y mucho, que no hayan sabido cuidar ese amor es otra cosa. Pero si se amaron. No todos concebimos el amor de la misma forma y hay que dejar de esperar que todo termine en un vivieron felices para siempre. A mi se me hizo una historia más realista que otras y bien actuada.

Es un final un poco agridulce, sin embargo lo entiendo totalmente ya que ambos necesitan primero sanar liberarse de las situaciones por la que cada uno sufría y bueno al final se entiende que ambos ya están listo para al fin poder estar juntos porque vemos a ella vestida de blanco eso significa que ya asumió la muerte de su hija y vemos el que finalizó su relación con la que era su novia era obvio que la quería pero no la amaba y al final luego que cada uno superó sus situaciones los vemos allí juntos como amigos pero caminan uno al paso del otro muy juntos como si no quisieran separarse uno del otro y bueno alli se concluye que finalmente estarán juntos pero en el drama no lo dicen y no muestran pero eso se concluye así que aunque eso me hubiese gustado verlo se entiende que ellos se quedan juntos.😁
Efectivamente es un final abierto, triste para los que nos gusta el romance con finales felices pero coherente con guión del escritor. 😑 He visto los avances pero quiero ver el capítulo completo donde lo puedo ver.... la cosa es que no aguantó está espera 😲

A mi si me gustó el final porque el que viéramos que terminen regresando hubiese sido demasiado forzado. Es mi humilde opinión.

I watch this Drama on Viki and I am at episode 7 right now. When i saw the thumbnail from the Last 5 (11,12,13,14,15,16) Episodes i was like „who tf is this Girl“.To be honest i am Sad and a Bit disapointed That On Joon Young ang Lee Young Jae dont get their happy and That they broke up. I am a Fan from this Drama, but only from the beginning...
The ending is reasonable. If pd put jy & yj back, it will be like he just wants to satisfy the viewers. This is other kind of love? Being there for the person but not having him/her. If they don't match or are not the right life partners for each other, it is better to stay that way.

Como me hizo llorar este drama, los actores excepcionales , me encantaria volver a verlos juntos. Aunque no es el final q mas me agrado quede conforme, pero ambos se siguen amando fue un amor muy fuerte y me los imagino juntos. El momento q mas disfrute fue la escena de ambos caminando por el campo y cuando dejo a la policia.
Un gran trabajo de la dirección y los actores, los amas tanto que los quieres juntos. Confieso que al terminar el drama, todo el día posterior estuve sollozando, se lo platique ha mi pareja para terminar llorando tendidos los dos. Es un final realmente feliz, los dos quedaron en paz con su decisión y queriéndose como siempre.

It's like they are a reflection of each other. But it's time for her to decide what she wants. It's clear he loves her always have. But now it's time for her to make up her mind and heart once and for all.
P.S totally satisfied with the ending. It was beautiful.

엔딩을 보니 답답해하는 분들이 많은데 결론적으로 모든 인생이 별 인생이 없다는 거지요. 주인공들이 이쁘고 멋져보이지만 일반 사람들과 별다름 아니지요.
세월이 흘러 어느곳에서 누구하고 살던 무엇을 하고 누구와 살던 짧은 인생 별인생 아닙니다. 드라마 보면서 대리만족하고 시간 잘 때우 셨다면 그만!
