Best motor I've EVER owned!!!! Better fuel consumption than any other, better luggage space (fishing tackle for 2 people inc barrows and trolleys PLUS 7-man tent with cookers, tables, chairs, cooker stands, food pantry, 10 gallon water containers, etc, etc - all at same time)! Will only buy another diesel Galaxy when replace... Possibly electric one if: Battery size of a PP3, purchasable from any garage/motor shop for
Brilliant vehicle, had mine for the past 8 years and has done loads of donkey work to and from the tip. Interior is as immaculate as when it left the factory simply because I take care of my vehicles. New cam belt and water pump done myself using Alan Howatt youtube channel ( mondeo channel) , only issue was the gearbox powershift need gear box oil change every 25k and not the recommended 40k change!
Does the power shift really need an oil change that regularly? I have a 2017 one and it has 180,000km on it. I asked the garage to change the oil on the gearbox as I couldn’t see it in the service history. Ford did the oil change but told me it didn’t need to be done again for 80,000km
@@ranat5526 you sound similar to me. I use my cars for tip runs. But have car seat covers/ rubber mats and put extra rubber covers down. Looks pretty much as good as valeted year round. I don't understand how people's cars get so dirty and tatty:)
@@zakrstcasniisloboduz galaxy will drive better - feels like a smaller/ sportier car. Probably more reliable as well if you avoid powershift auto boxes.
Service it and it’s fine. A lot of scaremongering out there for the auto. I’ve a 2016 model with nearly 200,000km. I got it at 152,000 and serviced it about 10,000km’s ago as I wasn’t sure was it ever serviced. That’ll do me now for another 50,000 km’s which might tie in with the end of my ownership with it. I wouldn’t buy a bus this size with a manual tbh.
The auto doesn't do very well with the diesels. It's almost certain the auto box will be the weakest link in the vehicle and expect a large repair every 100k miles/160k km. The diesel engines are very good so with a manual they last a long time.
Hello I have a problem with a ford galaxy 2010 petrol engine, on the dashboard , key not detected, immobilizer active, engine malfunctioning, none start, fob key not opening car i need help , i have used 2 electrician who have diagnosed and promised to come back till today I am yet to see them please help i am in london and I need a good automobile electrician
Я ездил на s max 7 лет и более 180т км. Никаких проблем. Все как у остальных автомобилей. Только подвеска надежнее. Сейчас езжу на galaxy, пробег 350т км, проблем каких то особых тоже нет.
What about rust? Is it a problem like smaller Fords?

Great review. But wasn't there a smaller 1.6 TDCi and a 2.2 TDCi 200hp?

Great to hear
Goood video. But i heard it has the same components like s max that has some major problems up to 2015 modells.

2.2 TDCi has 400 torques
Nm of torque not torques
2.2 with 175 horse power has 400nm of torque, 2.2 with 200 horse power has 420nm.

Looks better for sure but if you want the size then this is much bigger.
