      Yeah but they are shooting black powder firearms, which for the most part fired HUGE very slow moving projectiles that absolutely mangled soft tissue. The splatter is excessive but the wounds themselves were that brutal.

    This movie is perfection. Watched it for the first time June 2020. Can’t believe I missed out on it all these years. And Waltz as usual steals the show but this time he plays a hero from beginning to end.

    The details Tarantino includes are amazing; the one that caught my attention in this scene is Schulz tipping the shell casing out of his hat brim.

      Since the gun props do eject shell casings out, it's not impossible one landed by mistake on the hat and he just rolled with it and stayed in character. No clue if I'm right or not, but that's the kind of stuff that happen on the fly and are kept in the movie.

      It was common in "cowboy" firearms since the ejection port usually sent the casing up and out whereas modern firearms send the casing out the side.

    Dude, I wish this was a series. Django the Bounty Hunter. Like either him going on adventures with Schultz before they get to Candyland or even afterwards with him and Broomhilda being the cutest badass couple.

      Red Dead 2 seems like it takes more inspiration from Tarantino westerns unlike rdr1 that inspired by Sergio leone's westerns.

    There was actually a real life bass ass black bounty hunter in the old west that makes Django look like an amateur. His name was Bass Reeves. He was an exceptional marksman, look him up.

      Bass wasn't a bounty hunter. He was a US Marshal. First black deputy Marshal west of the Mississippi.

    I used repeating rifles almost exclusively in Red Dead Redemption, and the scene towards the end just underscores why it was such a good weapon to have during those times

    When he takes his glove off, he doesn’t put it in his pocket because it’ll just get cold and he’ll have to put it back on afterwards(at least his character will) so he shoves it in his belt loop to keep the glove warm while he shoots; gotta love Tarantino’s attention to detail

    Just recently discovered that Tarantino first used this song in Kill Bill Vol. 1. Its a very small part in the fight at The House of the Blue Leaves where Beatrix Kiddo gouges out the eye of a member of the Crazy 88s.
