One of my all-time favorite bands! You should definitely listen for the whole album, it is a ride from start to finish. This album and the debut are really REALLY good in every possible way.

Vin should read Metatron's Codex on this album. About 60 000 word write up. Metatron would be a great person to interview if you can get hold of him
He's well read on the crusades, judeo-christian theology and middle eastern history, spoke to him a few times on metal forums very interesting guy. Also the concept of this record is to think of jesus as a david koresh sort of character.

I would LOVE if you guys managed to get hold of Metatron (singer and lyricist). He is one of the most brilliant and thought-provoking prescence in metal for the last two decades.

Amazing choice! I was really surprised to see TMOA on your channel. That's the nice thing about you. The openmindedness is just mindblowing. And you'd be surprised how many people in the black metal scene know the bible quite well. It's more of an "know your enemy" kind of way, but you can't oppose something you don't know. Knowledge and education are the true virtues that (should) unite all beliefs... Keep your faith whatever it may be, but stay true to it! Don't let religion corrupt your faith!

I have studied the life and times of this Galilean healer and separated fact from fiction, truth from fabrication. As part of a Black Metal based band the blaspheming against the Christian movement and rejoicing of all things Satanic are all part and parcel of the theatre of the genre. Some bands take it more seriously than others. The story of Jesus is therefore the most important part of this whole Black Metal puzzle. Without him the Christian movement would not exist and Satan would still be a little known word in the Hebrew language. This figure so obscured in the dust of time is probably the most famous human being of them all and he is to blame [although he would never have known it] for the evolution of half the worlds cultures
A strong case can be made that Jesus lied, therefore he was a liar & since lying is clearly a sin in the bible, Jesus was also a sinner. Additionally, if Satan is the father of lies because there is no truth in him, then it's also quite possible to make a case that Jesus was actually of the Devil.
I think I found a new band to explore!

The live version of Phantom Of The Opera is freaking awesome, but I think that Vin and Sori should do the studio version first and then the live version.
