Johnny expecting his wife to take “the pill” or use any other unnatural methods is selfish. And being willing to kill a baby that might be conceived in spite of your efforts is just wrong.

I don't think Jimmy blew it at all. If she was ugly nobody would be saying he blew it. A relationship isn't just about looks. It's very reasonable that he doesn't want to be a father right away and there's no guarantee their relationship would have worked in the real world.
