BINNED Frequencies - Frequencies for Quantitative Data (3-6)

For scale data, simple frequency is the number of times a range of score occurs. Unlike categorical data in which each category is defined, quantitative data require creating and defining categories, called “bins” or “classes”, for the frequencies. The sum of the frequencies still equals N or 100%. Use enough bins to show the variability within the data but also bin widths wide enough that no bins contain only a few items. Bin Limits establish which values are included or not (high and low). To determine the Width of Bins, divide the difference between largest and smallest values by the number of bins.
This video uses Stats Blocks to illustrate the statistical concepts of binning continuous data. Stats Blocks were designed by Dr. Todd Daniel to explain abstract statistical concepts using concrete illustrations and inductive reasoning.

Thank you for making this video. Imagine a data set that is dynamic (ie new data keeps being added). Is it possible to have my last bin capture the frequency of values that are >=[x]?
