L!Hinoka is surprisingly good at Galeforce clears too. I've used her alongside my B!Catria or AoE B!Gullveig in AR-O plenty of times since her CD charge +1 combos well with Triangle Attack or gives an easy set up for another AoE respectively. That said, this truly is the year of the fliers.

I did consider that for B!Gullveig (given how often I use her) but I haven't actually seen many B!Gullveig out there or seen her really impact things, which makes sense as playerphased strats are less popular and it is harder to make an impact on offense. Defense and SD is interesting but honestly it is pretty surprising she is relatively rare. I do think I see B!Soren more (especially in SDS).
Maybe she was too new for consideration but I feel that Duo Sanaki is the new yardstick for nuking potential and tanking effectiveness. In AR and SD I need to consider her every time which means meta impact.
I debated whether or not to put Sanaki in, at least as an honorable mention, but yeah it is too soon to say I think. At least right now she isn't that prevalent. Time will tell though!

Tbh that's why I'm not *certain* I agree with the methodology of discounting refines. They wouldn't make a top 10 in most years, but I think this year for example, in the last round of SDS I saw LChrom on virtually every other team due to his ability to counter the meta (PNFU destroying Lucia) in addition to his other merits obviously. Similar to LEliwood last year probably.
I am so surprised Brave Corrin is not here. Literally I am always worried to face her or Bridal Tiki. She has the donamain effect that helps a lot, She is a good tank and In a meta with Spd powercreep, having more Spd makes her survive to nukes like Legendary Hinoka and that is something Bridal Tiki can't do. Still, that is a pretty good Tier lista and I am not surprised about anyone. Good job, DTM. Another incredible video!
Very good job, the list is pretty accurate !! As many have mentionned I think B!Gullveig could have made the honorable mentions but the unit I think is really missing is S!Ymir. She almost has a bigger role in a Soren ball than Soren imo haha ! Her ability to support multiple times in a match + act as a wall + act as a nuke + pop a duo skill 3 times is insane and she actually has been used in SD more than Maria 3 out of the 4 last seasons. Now I don't see people use her as much in AR. Also, she is a big reason why people feel forced to have so much DR piercing or C Feud and part of the reasons why IS released Fatal Smoke 4 so this is an impact on the meta still and I think a honorable mention would have been deserved.

Soren, Freyr, Claude, and Hinoka have been my favorites to use in Aether Raids. And def agree your placement/assessment of Claude. Have been surprised multiple times I seen my Claude get easily beaten in defense replays. He is not unstoppable!
For a majority of meta units: claude, anna, and f!maria they share a weakness of AOE. If you can aoe hard enough, all these units basically crumble and get/give no effects. (Something something AOE Hapi something something)
When it’s Fire season I actually use Hinoka + Claude for AR-O. Them with Brave Chrom basically ensures me the victory especially with Hinoka being given Flared Sparrow + Snag 4 from Fallen Chrom.
While we still some time to go what color do you all think is the most likely to dominate AHR? Or do you think that there won't be single color dream this year? Yeah colorless is not it for AHR. Personally I have a feeling its going to be green if any color due to the units you mentioned, but honestly I think it is likely we will get it spread out.

Wind Claude is way overrated tbh, he can't change his B skill and DR% piercing just blows him away. The gravity effect isn't even that great anymore since everything just warps a million spaces now. His main strength of course is just being a nuke unit, but we have no shortage of those that also do more things than just nuke.
Yeah W!Claude doesn't really enables or "creates" a team per say, rather he just slots in as a nuke. Which is he is really good at but honestly yeah I do think folks are more scared of him than they need to be.
@DarkGalahad-ef8cu that's insane, he's super versatile and gets new toys virtually every banner lol. He'll age better than most selfish nukes for sure.
Saying he can't change his B skill is a wacky assertion, he uses Desp4 incredibly well especially with quad support units, and will also be a nightmare once we get Assassin's Strike or whatever the physical version of Gullveig's B is called 😅 His B is honestly super replaceable, and will allow him to run atk oath echo + fatal smoke 4 or other options as they come. The only *actual* thing that will really hurt him is if [bonus] cleansing becomes more common/splashable (ie: not a button on a particular duo, but maybe an inheritable ploy or sabotage)

Hm I guessed 7/10 of the actual top 10, not that bad haha. But I think this year more than ever made meta impactful = really good more equally than ever, despite I understand the statement cause usually all/most meta impactful units nowadays are also good, but not all good/useable units are meta impactful. The three units I haven’t seen coming were New Year’s Duo Askr (he is one of the oldest of the list and I think because of that I didn’t had him in mind), Bridal Harmonic Tiki (like you stated, she is an insanely good save unit but nothing more than a save unit unlike you know Formortiis, Valentine‘s Lucina, Brave Corrin, Brave Edelgard, … and we have so many of them nowadays, they just become a grey mass for me haha) and Lucia (she belongs into the list, but she was so much hype when released and for me personally such a huge disappointment from the beginning, that I never considered to use or do sth with her ever, especially because you have to built her properly to work - so personal bias here haha.) Overall I agree with the list, probably would just have added the other 3 CyL units into the HM. Sure they are more „good units“ than „meta impactful“ units and probably their fodder is more meta-relevant than them (Flared Sparrow, Gambit 4), but I still think this badge of CyL as a whole was the most impactful CyL we ever had, cause all of the, had sth unique and none of them was bad or a disappointment from the get go, unlike every other CyL before had at least one or two or was even CyL 3, which is probably the CyL with the least impact ever lol.
In addition I think Formortiis deserves his spot, cause he was released at the right time. Many skills that makes him easier to handle or many units that as a stand-alone can deal with him easily got released over the course of the year, but I feel like his impact on the first half of the year was big enough to be justified (and someone like Fallen Maria alongside him makes it harder to deal with him without C Feud still). Would he have been released in the second half of the year tho, he wouldn’t be on this list haha.
Tbh I think last year still clears this one. BChrom is still relevant to this day in SD especially, arguably more than anything from this year's CYL already. And Seliph was a nightmare for way longer, though he has fallen off as of a few months ago.
@@CASantos Chrom ages like fine vine cause more and more Bonus effects or penalty effects are added to FEH, so I agree and Seliph was really strong, but also in a year with overall less competition cause Powercreep/skill creep hit hard this yeah. Meanwhile Tiki was nearly dead on arrival and Byleth also never really was it, probably because Spd creep also was going hard with the new Book, to hard for her probably. Meanwhile in this Badge all of them were and are still really good and also more unique, more out of the box than last year. So I think overall this years was better than last despite the impact of each them might be smaller than Seliphs (but also way bigger than Tikis and Byleths lol).
I was surprised not to see brave Gullveig on the list tbh. My defense team loses a few times a week, but only ever to hit n run, most of which use brave Gullveig. I think I'd have dropped Tiki off the list. Shes a great (the best?) far save, but she doesn't really contribute anything that other saves don't already.
Any blue unit with mnfu/pnfu. LChrom became super prevalent cuz he can just oneshot her. SThorr can pop the duo button and let any dr pierce unit do the same. Ploy4s are also super underrated - often times shutting off her [grand strategy] or [bonus doubler] is all you need.

Robin gotta be 1. They had to release a skill that specifically nerfed his prf skill. I think that says enough lmao
Penalty doubler effects also started to become more common after his release since those are also soft counters of sorts to Grand Strategy.
Robin is definitely up there, but imo there was one unit that had more of a meta impact
Ploy is, id say, a soft nerf. Its a bit difficult to use in sd. Not impossible, but..difficult
