Best review and very refreshed with the motorweek view. Anyone who's a fan of one of Maryland's best public television shows knows the no-nonsense approach Jon Davis and the rest of the staff of Motorweek takes with the cars. Sensible, egalitarian, American style of reviews. They were there since the F40, F50, enzo etc... anyone knows anything about this car and has been through it all doesn't need to 'list the specs' - you know this thing will defy gravity.

loved this show for years..LaFERARRI is one hell of a car, but not for everyone..there are some new bad-ass video's of this car in actual drag racing from a POV and the sound it makes was incredible..i gained a lot of respect for it after it downed the VEYRON, F12 & 950HP GTR all from a launch..that owner didn't let his FERARRI sit in a garage, and he drove it like he stole it :)

I think I'd "settle" for a 918 if I had that kind of scratch. Off the line, it'll destroy pretty much anything with its all-wheel launch control. On the track, it's also pretty awesome based on its Nurburgring lap time. It's got a classy, refined look, unlike the P1 or LaFerrari which scream for attention. And it can be driven in electric mode for a reasonable distance (not that you'd want to).

Oh the Hell with that...if we're throwing a million cash around like it's nothing I say a 1992 McLaren F1 will get me there. She's so damn fast they said screw 0 to 60 and went with 0 to 100 at 3 seconds flat the standard. The only issue would be the 5 miles to the gallon it likely makes. ;)

Not a 1992 McLaren. There's a place not to far from where I used to live that sold cars like that. They had not the F1 model but the other one there for something like 1.3 million. I only knew the price because I had a friend that worked there. What was really neat was he sometimes would get the chance to drive them. If it was something really fast and on the front lot he would pay his car porters to let him drive it to get fuel. They knew what he was doing...Often times he would show up to my house with them.
Now, he never showed up with a McLaren because no one was driving that but the owner. He did show up to my home in a 2006 canary yellow Porsche 911 Carrera GT 2 Twin Turbo and I got to drive it full out. That car made my then 2002 Zo6 Corvette look like a Volkswagen Beetle. It was so damn fast that it absolutely punished you when you got on it. My 2014 Stinger Yellow Dodge Challenger RT+P SCAT w/560hp doesn't even come close and she's stupid fast. He also brought a blue and white Dodge Viper over (although I don't remember the year). It was fast but I actually didn't care for it. That's another car that punishes you for getting on it. The vibration and jerkiness made it feel kind of like a super powered wooden rollercoaster. It was not as smooth or refined as either my Corvette or the 911. Hell, my Challenger is faster than it and is so much smoother. I believe the Viper may have been older...like 1990's old.

Proof is shown in F1 today where Mercedes made "Mighty" Ferrari look like a bunch of clowns. Keep on enjoying your Fiats.

Light Yagami The thing people like you never understand is that Ferrari doesn't give a shit what you , Harris or anybody else thinks or says. There is a long line of auto journalists waiting to praise every single Ferrari car. There is an even longer line of buyers desperate to get their hands on the latest Ferrari. And they pay what ever Ferrari says. Now, you think a company like that bothers with people of your or Harris's level? Like you saying Ferrari is scared of racing LaF against P1. People that just assume or spread rumors. It's now been proven by 2 separate H2H that LaF is better than P1 and 918. As expected. What else fantasy do you want to write now?

Meh, it's hideous, the P1 is much better. The name is stupid too. To be honest the Aventador is drop dead gorgeous and has more performance than you will ever need and is a bargain relatively speaking at a 1/3 of the price of this car. For the same money almost you can get a P1 and an Aventador which is a much better buy if you ask me.

Both these cars are collector cars but in 50 years from now the Ferrari will appreciate much more than the P1 will. It cost more but it's also more of an investment. You get what you pay for.
I don't know why your complaining, you can't afford any of the cars you mentioned. I won't be able to also but at least I don't call beautiful exotic cars hideous which is showing your true colors, not a real car enthusiast. There's only 2% of people that this car looks hideous and your in that category.

I don't know why when see this car some days I'm like that is a good looking vehicle then there is the others days I'm like wtf, I guess Its like that chick who look good in certain light settings, also to me the P1 looks dated I guess if I could afford one I would pick the la Ferrari over the P1 better yet give me the Bugatti not for the performane but the way it looks.

Nice car but no seat adjustments,, really.....

    • @4dshow
      @4dshow 10 лет назад +1

That's true. But the pedal box can be brought closer to the seat via rails as to the steering wheel can be moved. So you basically end up with the same adjustment as a a normal car.just in a different manner.

Forget about the price tag? Sorry John Davis you should have told that for the Lexus LFA, which turned Nurburgring fastest with street tires when it came to market. This car is an overpriced piece of shit that can never justify what it offers.
After all, diesel is the way to go not hybrids ..... what happened to all those hybrid bashers and diesel praisers? :)

car to sit in a garage . can't drive it without getting hassled by cops. everyone wants to drive next to you and stare. and the constant threat of car jackers makes it a not a pleasure to ride. cant park it anywhere . cant give it to a vale. tis car is over the top for collectors only,, it is not a driving car..I t is an investment car..they only appreciate in value ( big time)! worthless to drive. but not worthless to keep in garage and make bank from it. many of these collectors have seen over 1.5 million in profit from their original cost.

LOL! Europeans managed to make another irrelevant overpriced piece of junk.
It is amazing though how they imitate Honda NSX in their design. Italians got their ass kicked by that NSX real bad when it came to the market as it seems.
