I have been through a 47:30 hours of flying in economy class with Delta Airlines. The service of Delta Airlines was horrible! I Battle with a broken back injury, they're will not let you stand up and walk to inside the economy class so that I can help myself to relieve me from pain I had to endure during the long hours of flying. For those who can afford to fly first class or business class on any airline, embrace it and appreciate the opportunity you have to afford it. Blessings always South Africa Mphumalanga 🇿🇦
It’s strange , the cabin doesn’t seem private at all ! I hate the same menu in business class from Perth to Doha. I guess the only redeeming factor is the first class lounge but again the business lounge at Doha airport is pretty amazing!
Yeah, It needs sliding doors for more privacy. The Singapore A380 has first class private Suites, Etihad has a 3 room first class apt. Sadly there really isn't much difference at all between Business Class and First Class with a number of airlines...... Except the HUGE difference in price.
Almost $10K for a one way flight…. I’ll stick with my Jet Blue, NY, JFK/LGA to New Orleans with the extra leg room… 33 round trip flights for the same cost. Don’t know why I watched the whole video but I will say this… You did a very thorough job of documenting everything. 👍🏻🍺😎
Great video. Qatar has limited flights to Aus because of Gov’t restrictions so they may keep the A380 longer with its larger seat capacity. . You flew in from the south of Sydney so you could see the main business district and former Olympic site. The plane flew north and then returned south to the airport aprox 13 km south of the business district. Hope you enjoyed your stay. A wonderful review.
The A380 is only used to Perth and Sydney. If they want to use it to Brisbane and Melbourne, they’ll need to reactivate the remaining two that are in storage.

Don't think about layover in doha unless it's less than 6 hours because you probably won't be let in any lounges there unless you're a rewards card holder (which on their laminated sheet you probably aren't)
The A-380 is a great plane. I saw the $9800 price and thought: Wow! Fantastic. Then I said, wait, did that say ONE WAY? It did. Not such a great price.
Thank you for the video. I will be flying Qatar Business from Budapest to Sydney and then First from Perth back to Budapest (although only business is offered from Doha to Budapest). I have flown Qatar before in business and really enjoyed the experience. I am looking forward to the First Class experience back from Australia in June.

Great review. Been looking to try out Qatar First for a long time before they retire the plane. With limited availability and timing for these flights down to 2 options (the Sydney route is always unavailable) but as both QR834 (Doha to Bangkok) and QR900 (Doha to Perth) are both 2AM flights but they have a more limited menu offering with no mains or desserts etc. The other option is the old Cathay 777. What would you do - go for the A380 to tick it off (Have done Emirates A380 and 777 Gamechanger, BA 787 and Singapore A380 Suites) so looking to eventually try them all.
Great video - the malfunctioning issues would have bothered me - The only difference between business and first appears to be the upgraded wine list and caviar all else seemed the same as business identical headphones amenity kit and pj’s - I’m assuming you got this as a points flight - I wouldn’t be pleased with paying a full fare first class price
I think the level of Qatar Airways is lower than before, even though it was ranked first among airline companies. There is a blogger on RUclips who presented his experience with Qatar Airways and was not satisfied with its performance.
Regarding the fuel consumption and the impact on the environment of the A380, those statements are not right, these are inaccurate and quite laughable... For anyone with a scientific background, it makes no sense. Only the cost of maintenance of the A380 is a real problem. But when the A380 made its first revenue flights in 2007 - 2009, everybody was raving about the engines of the A380 ( the RR Trent 900 or the Engine Alliance GP 7200 ) saying how fabulously silent or fuel efficient these were. So many people in the airlines industry change opinions for no real reason... Only the cost of JET A1 has increased due to geopolitic reasons, not due to technical facts. If I were the CEO of Qatar, I would not only have 10 A380s but I would have 25 or 30 of this fabulous aircraft which is also heavily preferred by the passengers, well over the A350 or Boeing's 787 which are way behind the A380 in so many respects. This is also why Airbus should get their act together and promote the A380 much more heavily than what they have done so far....

A digital menu in a first class lounge? Okay, it's certainly smooth, easy to update, better for the environment and so on. But it does not give a luxurious impression. I think it fits more in a regular restaurant at an airport or a fast food restaurant.
Silly comment for you. Did you bring up the malfunctioning entertainment issues? That's an important part of total experience. Did you get some sort of recompense? An acknowledgement or even apology? I take it the flight was booked and you simply couldn't switch to a functioning seat. Thank you.
I had communicated the entertainment malfunction issue to the flight attendants and they attempted to restart the entertainment and repair it. In the end, the malfunction was not fixed and the flight attendant apologized to me. The flight attendant later said they would compensate me for the malfunction, but I haven't received any compensation yet.
Sorry was it dinner or lunch? One menu/meal only, wasn´t it a long distance flight? Normally passengers get two menus / meals! ^^ I expected better food in first class, sorry.
On this flight, we had dinner after takeoff and breakfast before landing. The first class in-flight meal only comes with caviar, and the rest is not much different from the business class in-flight meal.
I'm so surprised they did not reseat you so you could enjoy the entertainment you paid for, especially as there were vacant seat! Also, I'm shocked they still charge first-class customers for wifi.
Qatar of late in my experience has been a little hit and miss both food and service wise. I flew business (Q Suite) with them to Delhi from London and it was on par nothing above and beyond. I know that some routes get a lesser service from ALL airlines...so maybe the sub continent is that on list. I say this, as BA and Virgin in their business/first products for certain give a way lower standard of service to Delhi than they do to NYC/WASHINGTON/LAX as done them too.
Love that bar. I usually hang out there most of the flight time. But mostly alone. I don't know why nobody ever goes there.

Not a fair comparison . This is a 14 hr flight . Of course cost is extreme . QSuites is a good alternative .

空席があれば席の移動の助言もあると思いますが、この日は満席のため、席の移動はできませんでした。
シートモニター故障の場合、後日マイルやクーポン券で補償をするケースはあります。今回、客室乗務員から最後に英語で「何かしらの補償をする」と言われましたが、その後は何もありませんでした。

iPhoneでパシャっと一枚素早く撮影しています。
ましてやラウンジで食事を撮影する根性はありません。
人目を気にし過ぎでしょうか。。。
日本の方は人目を気にしすぎかと思います。
撮影は全てiPhoneです。GoProのようなアクションカメラだと明らかに撮影している感が出るので撮影を注意されやすいですが、iPhoneだとあまり注意はされません。

Your camera quality is just not good enough for this type of work.. you need to get you a good GoPro or something comparable to that.
