In a world facing climate challenges, helping many small farmers requires teamwork and new ways of thinking. At the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), our Small Farm Incomes (SFI) project brings together academics, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), and agriculture networks in India. Our goal is to learn and share insights on making farming more sustainable and building strong farmer groups.
We recently held an international conference, "Managing Sustainable Transitions: Newer Directions for Research and Civic Action" from November 16 to 18, 2023. We observed participation of academicians, researchers, and farmers and we exchanged valuable insights from the field. Here, we're excited to share interviews with some of the participants who generously shared their expertise with us.
