Being an older PopCross Studios viewer, I still remember when you focused on design notes and little to no story/lore that went along with them. I personally wouldn't mind you doing those types of videos again with the more lore focused ones, but whatever you do end up doing would be fun to see. Can't wait to see more!!!

As a person who spent the better part of 2021 watching Magical Girl stuff this is really a treat for me. Not the first series I would love to Magical Girls from but it was still awesome! A recommendation for a future video would be maybe turning Kala into a Magical Girl. Honestly her and Charlie kinda got a magical girl and partner thing down and it would be interesting to see a magical version of her instead of her technological stuff.

First off, 100% would love to see more “such and such as magical girl” episodes. Totally down for that. Secondly, in terms of design notes vs lore, I personally prefer the design notes in general (with the exception of the recent fantasy armor vids; your narration for this is pretty much the best thing on the internet). Side note: I can think of one very obvious magical girl with a mask: Sailor V.
What if you drew, "Holiday Spirits as Demons"? Examples: Santa Claus (spirit of Christmas) Cupid (spirit of Valentine's Day) Uncle Sam (spirit of 4th of July)
These are adorably fun. If there is a part 2, I would love to see a fiend as a magical girl. Sure "Summoned Skull" is the first to come to mind, but "Demise" could also be fun. Every magical girl team has the shy genius with over the top destructive force.
I’m honestly a fan of Rise of the TMNT. One of the main reasons is how the brothers have a better relationship than the previous two versions. The Rise Raph would honestly tell the other two Raphs to not direct their anger at their own family or else.
Honestly, I love both your design notes and your lore. Both really help with understanding what you created, and even help others (like me) with our own character creation and design inspiration.
Doesn't Yu-Gi-Oh technically already have magical girls via the Magician Girl archetype? Either way, this will be interesting. Suggestion: anything as Ben 10 aliens/transformations
Yeah, the Magician Girls are probably off-limits for this video.... but hey, Yugioh has SO many archetypes, it's kinda hard to think of something to turn them into, that isn't already represented. Kaiju? Literately got an archetype named that. Mech-suits? Hardly changing much if you use Machine archetypes. Super Heroes? We even had a Main character use them. Fantasy Armors? Probably won't got far if using any of the "Knights" Dinos? It's a monster type. Dragons?............. Do I even need to explain this one?
Something about the last drawing reminds me of Eda the Owl Lady from Owl House. I think it's the gold eyes. Great episode! Speaking of the Owl House, maybe we could get some episodes about that or Amphibia since they start up again this Saturday.
Here's a fun idea if you plan on doing this again: "Shonen Characters as Magical Girls" You could include characters like Goku, Naruto or Deku with a girlier twist. I honestly think it could be hilarious! 😂😆

I love hearing your design notes- to me, the story elements are like a really fun cherry on top of the art itself 😁 it’s part of your videos that I feel makes them more unique but it’s not the main/only reason I watch. I love your work in general and as an artist myself it’s really interesting to me to hear about the design decisions artists make. I hope this helps! Also, I think the practice you got in drawing young women with more of a shoujo influence really paid off. I agree that it’s really helpful for us to challenge ourselves with different styles and influences and feel this video is a great example of that!! The way you stylised these and pushed their femininity etc seemed to get progressively more cohesive and clear throughout the video. I love them!!
This was incredible. I'm a very huge fan of YuGiOH and still play the game to this day. So seeing you turn some iconic YuGiOh monsters into magical girls (that aren't the Dark Magician Girl archetype) is just excellent. I loved every single design. Red-Eye's aka Rose Baraku's gives off a cool fighting prodigy who really has that nice underdog feel to them and is will to fight the good fight...plus i find it fitting that you named her baby black dragon companion Joey, Exodia’s aka Ebony Marahaman's gives off that of a true guardian anddefender who's willing to fight and protect what is dear to them and how they're seeking for a new adventure...and I like how you made Atem her guide/partner, Slifer's aka Selena Sora's gives off that true ethereal/divine look as well as looking like a mixture of a dancer and warrior and also shows how they will be ready to defend every with the help of comrades...and I like how you made the actual Slifer as her companion. They were incredible and I can’t wait to see more videos where you draw YuGiOh characters. Maybe perhaps drawing YuGiOh monsters as armours...I'm sure Benny and Vasillia would have a field day with them I also can’t wait to see how Mara’s story continues in the multiverse tales episodes. Great job as always Christian and I can’t wait to see what you draw on Friday’s video. P.s. do you think you could do a video of turning dinosaurs into mech armours? Cuz I want to see how Benny Sharp and Champagne McGregor would get along. Also do you think you could do a video we’re you turn Disney princesses into witches. Lovely video. Loved the monsters chosen. Maybe you could do Yu-Gi-Oh! characters as Dragons or Dinosaurs? With dragons it'd be fun to see what you'd do with Yami/Atem and or Yugi, perhaps making them a feathered dragon.
That was a creative idea, there was a time when I saw the Yugioh monster known as Blue-white eyes dragon as an anime human girl version in RUclips. So it'll be interesting what kind of Yugioh monster would look like as humans.. Keep up the good work!
I honestly had doubts about TMNT and RWBY but you did a good story of each character. The conflict between Blake and Weiss was basically as aggressive as Raph and Leo usually are. The Krang probably are the real culprits of the mutagen. Affecting the crops for a wide spread test is something they would do. Are Salem and Krang two separate entities? I can see a compromise of Salem helping the Krang running experiments on Remnant until Salem destroys everything since the Krang’s world wouldn’t be involved with the gods.
I must admit I love your lore and stories a lot. But I like hearing about the design too, so I'm fine with you doing some videos just on the creation and your design process.
Maybe some ideas I’ve had of the Deep, Swat Kats, and Hot Wheels Battle Force 5 could be one mech episode. The Deep mech would be aquatic, Swat Kats is air and Hot Wheels is land. Like a vehicles as mech suits video. I can’t think of an underrated cartoon with a cool spaceship but I’m sure there is one. Oh wait I remember one called Prisoner Zero. The main character's amnesia seems way worse than Generator Rex’s.

Magical girls are so fun to draw, would have never thought to draw yu-gi-oh monsters as them! (Fun fact: The design i submitted for Jaylyn aka 'the fox girl' for the Multiverse Melee was originally intended to be/ was based off the magical girl genre :D Hence the animal bits out of nowhere/ dramatic hairstyle change) Bonus points for using Slifer, my favourite of the God cards! (Gonna have fun watching this while pretending I don't know that I'm gonna get chewed out by my tutor tomorrow for taking a mental health day (': )
I’d like to hear design notes sometimes, the lore is good, but hearing You talk about your design notes and comment on the episodes is good too since it helps break the lore a bit to keep it from getting stale
EXTRA points for being willing to step out of your comfort zone with this group of drawing, and for realizing your own styles and its inherent flaws. I would love to see the second part to this with the other to staffs holding the power of Obelisk and Ra to complete the godly trio. Could u also do yugioh monsters as SCP. For example you could use some of the cards from Yugioh Arc-V such as Dark rebellion xyz dragon, clear wing synchro dragon, starving venom fusion dragon and odd eyes pendulum dragon
We also need blue eyes to round out the trio of main character. I have to say I’m already laughing just thinking of Kaiba being a magical girl mascot. Like you can the cute magical girl character then you have tiny better then everyone else businessman as her mascot.

This was a fun episode dude and I was right on what you were doing. Also I saw that you want to bring back your turning stuff into dragons episodes, so I have an idea when you bring back your horror icons as dragons episode since you never touched that series in a very long time (I’m not mad, I just want a second episode to that series). Spencis Charnas Origin After studying the Honey-Hook Wyvern, I end up seeing a couple of knights from the Las Angels Guard working on a quest about the death of a women who has connections to a specific person they were looking for which has a connection to these dragons I was studying. So I was lead to this carnival of carnage we’ll call it which had some of the dragons I talked about already like the Fanged Jester, the Scorched Nightmare, The October Slow Stalker, and the 4 other dragons that I mentioned already. It made me remember the times I went to the kingdom where Willis Aften used his so called dragons as attractions which is now a different kingdom entirely at this point and the kingdom has been destroyed by the time I’m telling you about him. But I also saw and interview the owner of this place and his name was Spencis Charnas. He was wearing a suit that resembled half of a Scorched Nightmare and a Crystal Lake Camp Stalker with half of his face (well 25% of his face) covered with the fake skull of one of these dragons. But he also was holding a cane with a skull on top of the handle and wore (just for show) a bladed glove which represented the right hand of a scorched nightmare. He told me that he was really fascinated about these dragons sense he was little when he encountered the same exact October Slow Stalker that I studied that was caged here, which he said inspired someone to kill his sister, her friends, and even his parents which he ended up killing him in self defense but also he was a kid at the time and I don’t know if a kid could kill a full grown adult. Then he told me other things about him like he is the leader of a traveling folk story group that tells tales of these dragons. But when he said that I did see when studying the Crystal Lake Camp Stalker that there were these lines of their little tale in the area which said… "He Drowned in all our sins He drowned in our mistakes Fueled by the flood, we pay in blood The curse of Crystal Lake" And then I forgot about when I studied the Honey-Hook Wyvern I saw these lines which read…. "Left to die under the sun The hive never spared anyone How 'bout the hand for the honey bees Hooked on the creed of their colony" The most messed up part about the writing is that they were written in the blood of the dead bodies that were at the area where they were written. Also Spencis told me about this place’s history and the dragons that he really wants in here and he even gave me the privilege to study them after hours when the place closes since he knew I was the Overseer of this world and knew how much I liked studying mythical beast, he would even asked me to create more of these types of dragons if I wanted too. Then I asked him the big question that I think he knew I was gonna ask which was…. Why is the Las Angels Guard after you? He told me more about his past where he was connected with the case of the death of Elias Black who was the alchemist who would help Spencis with his nightmares while he was traveling with his group which he told me that the fanged jester that was caged here, which I remembered that I studied that exact same fanged jester tortured Elias and killed him and now he is connected to the death of the women that I heard about which turned out is his Fiancé and the Las Angels leader Captain Harris isn’t stopping until he is behind bars. But Spencis told me that he knows who really killed her and he won’t stop until the real killer pays for what he has done. But then I shook his hand and then left after talking to him and he even asked me if I was coming to opening night of the carnival and I told him yes and he told me these four words that I won’t forget "Sometimes…. Dead is Better." Which ended up gave me a shiver that went down my spine for some reason. Then the big night came and Spencis Sang one of his songs with his group which was the Anthem to this place. Then Spencis say these three words that would end up sticking with me every time I go to this place no matter if this place is opened or not which were… Welcome to Horrorwood!!! The character is based off of the frontman of the metal band Ice Nine Kills named Spencer Charnas (from the music videos, not in real life). Who has made two whole albums about horror movies with his band. The Honey-Hook Wyvern is based off of Candyman while the Crystal Lake Camp Stalker is based off of Jason Voorhees. I wonder what you guys think of my idea?

Very new fan here- I love yugioh and love your artwork, and while your art is truly fantastic what kept me on your channel was in fact your retelling of remaining stories tying in with the art. It's not a concept I've seen done before and you do it so well! I can't say I'm representative of a majority of your fan base, but I hope you continue to add lore and story and your own unique twist to your videos. Regardless you definitely have me hooked now!
I'd love to see more episodes with design notes, as I've found that they help me to see how I can improve and what you think as you look back on the drawings you've made in the video. Yeah, it's a bit selfish, but I love hearing the design notes and seeing the things you've pointed out about the drawings.
As a huge fan of the magical girl genre, this episode made me super happy :> also, masks aren't entirely out of the question for magical girls, Sailor Moon herself used to have one in the early days of the manga!

I love joey as a baby dragon! lore is fun but just do what ever you want. It's your cannel after all. It's hard to come up with lore on everything and the creator notes help others that are doing or learning art along with your drawings. I think a mix of both is best to be honest. I think you balance it pretty good. Sometimes your videos are more lore based as that works best for that particular episode and what's in it. Thank you for the chunky angry nome man. I love sifer the best. Though as you said they are all good.MORE!

I have now started the third day of asking pop cross studios for terraria bosses as dragons. Some good entries that I have put on here previously are the twins, the eye of Cthulhu, the moon lord, the wall of flesh, and if you’re feeling a little spicy, then you could probably go with something like the Empress of light. I honestly enjoyed this.. The Red Eyes Black Dragon Magical Girl is probably my personal favorite of the three, though I tend to like darker color sets anyways and Red Eyes is one of my absolute most favorite Yu-Gi-Oh creatures... Barely beaten out by Yubel but Yubel is a strange one to categorize due to being more than just another creature
I especially loved this one! 11:08 had me rolling on the floor laughing!! I really enjoyed the deserty sort of vibe of the second drawing and its probably my favorite of the episode. I wish I could draw humans as good as you, but I mainly draw dragons and I'm honestly really proud of my dragon drawings, but keep the amazing art coming!! 😁

I’m honestly a fan of Rise of the TMNT. One of the main reasons is how the brothers have a better relationship than the previous two versions. The Rise Raph would honestly tell the other two Raphs to not direct their anger at their own family or else.

Yeah, the Magician Girls are probably off-limits for this video.... but hey, Yugioh has SO many archetypes, it's kinda hard to think of something to turn them into, that isn't already represented.
Kaiju? Literately got an archetype named that.
Mech-suits? Hardly changing much if you use Machine archetypes.
Super Heroes? We even had a Main character use them.
Fantasy Armors? Probably won't got far if using any of the "Knights"
Dinos? It's a monster type.
Dragons?............. Do I even need to explain this one?

I love hearing your design notes- to me, the story elements are like a really fun cherry on top of the art itself 😁 it’s part of your videos that I feel makes them more unique but it’s not the main/only reason I watch. I love your work in general and as an artist myself it’s really interesting to me to hear about the design decisions artists make. I hope this helps! Also, I think the practice you got in drawing young women with more of a shoujo influence really paid off. I agree that it’s really helpful for us to challenge ourselves with different styles and influences and feel this video is a great example of that!! The way you stylised these and pushed their femininity etc seemed to get progressively more cohesive and clear throughout the video. I love them!!
This was incredible. I'm a very huge fan of YuGiOH and still play the game to this day. So seeing you turn some iconic YuGiOh monsters into magical girls (that aren't the Dark Magician Girl archetype) is just excellent. I loved every single design. Red-Eye's aka Rose Baraku's gives off a cool fighting prodigy who really has that nice underdog feel to them and is will to fight the good fight...plus i find it fitting that you named her baby black dragon companion Joey, Exodia’s aka Ebony Marahaman's gives off that of a true guardian anddefender who's willing to fight and protect what is dear to them and how they're seeking for a new adventure...and I like how you made Atem her guide/partner, Slifer's aka Selena Sora's gives off that true ethereal/divine look as well as looking like a mixture of a dancer and warrior and also shows how they will be ready to defend every with the help of comrades...and I like how you made the actual Slifer as her companion. They were incredible and I can’t wait to see more videos where you draw YuGiOh characters. Maybe perhaps drawing YuGiOh monsters as armours...I'm sure Benny and Vasillia would have a field day with them I also can’t wait to see how Mara’s story continues in the multiverse tales episodes. Great job as always Christian and I can’t wait to see what you draw on Friday’s video.

Honestly I ADORE your stories that you attach to your episodes
I honestly had doubts about TMNT and RWBY but you did a good story of each character. The conflict between Blake and Weiss was basically as aggressive as Raph and Leo usually are. The Krang probably are the real culprits of the mutagen. Affecting the crops for a wide spread test is something they would do. Are Salem and Krang two separate entities? I can see a compromise of Salem helping the Krang running experiments on Remnant until Salem destroys everything since the Krang’s world wouldn’t be involved with the gods.
My question is why not just make the teenage mutant Ninja turtles as friendly beasts of Grimm
I must admit I love your lore and stories a lot. But I like hearing about the design too, so I'm fine with you doing some videos just on the creation and your design process.
Maybe some ideas I’ve had of the Deep, Swat Kats, and Hot Wheels Battle Force 5 could be one mech episode. The Deep mech would be aquatic, Swat Kats is air and Hot Wheels is land. Like a vehicles as mech suits video. I can’t think of an underrated cartoon with a cool spaceship but I’m sure there is one. Oh wait I remember one called Prisoner Zero. The main character's amnesia seems way worse than Generator Rex’s.
Easily one of my favorite speed draw stories you did. If you ever do another Yugioh magical girl mashup, please do the 5ds signer dragons; it's just to good idea to disregard.

Magical girls are so fun to draw, would have never thought to draw yu-gi-oh monsters as them! (Fun fact: The design i submitted for Jaylyn aka 'the fox girl' for the Multiverse Melee was originally intended to be/ was based off the magical girl genre :D Hence the animal bits out of nowhere/ dramatic hairstyle change) Bonus points for using Slifer, my favourite of the God cards!

I’d like to hear design notes sometimes, the lore is good, but hearing You talk about your design notes and comment on the episodes is good too since it helps break the lore a bit to keep it from getting stale

I really enjoy all 6 Yu-Gi-Oh series. You should do an episode where you fuse the main protagonists from each series with their ace cards.
EXTRA points for being willing to step out of your comfort zone with this group of drawing, and for realizing your own styles and its inherent flaws. I would love to see the second part to this with the other to staffs holding the power of Obelisk and Ra to complete the godly trio. Could u also do yugioh monsters as SCP. For example you could use some of the cards from Yugioh Arc-V such as Dark rebellion xyz dragon, clear wing synchro dragon, starving venom fusion dragon and odd eyes pendulum dragon
We also need blue eyes to round out the trio of main character. I have to say I’m already laughing just thinking of Kaiba being a magical girl mascot. Like you can the cute magical girl character then you have tiny better then everyone else businessman as her mascot.
I really hope you end up making a follow up episode. Im a big fan of Yu-Gi-Oh, and I liked the little story you came up with for this one. 👍

The Magical Girls designs were really awesome and I really do enjoy the fact that each of the poses that you had for your designs were equal to the images from the cards. I also enjoyed hearing the lore that you created. It reminded me of the Yu-Gi-Oh lore mixed with the lore of Sailor Moon and the notes that you mentioned in the video was absolutely fantastic to hear and helpful.

This was a fun episode dude and I was right on what you were doing. Also I saw that you want to bring back your turning stuff into dragons episodes, so I have an idea when you bring back your horror icons as dragons episode since you never touched that series in a very long time (I’m not mad, I just want a second episode to that series).
Spencis Charnas Origin
After studying the Honey-Hook Wyvern, I end up seeing a couple of knights from the Las Angels Guard working on a quest about the death of a women who has connections to a specific person they were looking for which has a connection to these dragons I was studying. So I was lead to this carnival of carnage we’ll call it which had some of the dragons I talked about already like the Fanged Jester, the Scorched Nightmare, The October Slow Stalker, and the 4 other dragons that I mentioned already. It made me remember the times I went to the kingdom where Willis Aften used his so called dragons as attractions which is now a different kingdom entirely at this point and the kingdom has been destroyed by the time I’m telling you about him.
But I also saw and interview the owner of this place and his name was Spencis Charnas. He was wearing a suit that resembled half of a Scorched Nightmare and a Crystal Lake Camp Stalker with half of his face (well 25% of his face) covered with the fake skull of one of these dragons. But he also was holding a cane with a skull on top of the handle and wore (just for show) a bladed glove which represented the right hand of a scorched nightmare. He told me that he was really fascinated about these dragons sense he was little when he encountered the same exact October Slow Stalker that I studied that was caged here, which he said inspired someone to kill his sister, her friends, and even his parents which he ended up killing him in self defense but also he was a kid at the time and I don’t know if a kid could kill a full grown adult. Then he told me other things about him like he is the leader of a traveling folk story group that tells tales of these dragons.
But when he said that I did see when studying the Crystal Lake Camp Stalker that there were these lines of their little tale in the area which said…
"He Drowned in all our sins
He drowned in our mistakes
Fueled by the flood, we pay in blood
The curse of Crystal Lake"
And then I forgot about when I studied the Honey-Hook Wyvern I saw these lines which read….
"Left to die under the sun
The hive never spared anyone
How 'bout the hand for the honey bees
Hooked on the creed of their colony"
The most messed up part about the writing is that they were written in the blood of the dead bodies that were at the area where they were written.
Also Spencis told me about this place’s history and the dragons that he really wants in here and he even gave me the privilege to study them after hours when the place closes since he knew I was the Overseer of this world and knew how much I liked studying mythical beast, he would even asked me to create more of these types of dragons if I wanted too.
Then I asked him the big question that I think he knew I was gonna ask which was….
Why is the Las Angels Guard after you?
He told me more about his past where he was connected with the case of the death of Elias Black who was the alchemist who would help Spencis with his nightmares while he was traveling with his group which he told me that the fanged jester that was caged here, which I remembered that I studied that exact same fanged jester tortured Elias and killed him and now he is connected to the death of the women that I heard about which turned out is his Fiancé and the Las Angels leader Captain Harris isn’t stopping until he is behind bars. But Spencis told me that he knows who really killed her and he won’t stop until the real killer pays for what he has done.
But then I shook his hand and then left after talking to him and he even asked me if I was coming to opening night of the carnival and I told him yes and he told me these four words that I won’t forget "Sometimes…. Dead is Better." Which ended up gave me a shiver that went down my spine for some reason.
Then the big night came and Spencis Sang one of his songs with his group which was the Anthem to this place.
Then Spencis say these three words that would end up sticking with me every time I go to this place no matter if this place is opened or not which were…

The character is based off of the frontman of the metal band Ice Nine Kills named Spencer Charnas (from the music videos, not in real life). Who has made two whole albums about horror movies with his band.
The Honey-Hook Wyvern is based off of Candyman while the Crystal Lake Camp Stalker is based off of Jason Voorhees.

I love joey as a baby dragon! lore is fun but just do what ever you want. It's your cannel after all. It's hard to come up with lore on everything and the creator notes help others that are doing or learning art along with your drawings. I think a mix of both is best to be honest. I think you balance it pretty good. Sometimes your videos are more lore based as that works best for that particular episode and what's in it. Thank you for the chunky angry nome man. I love sifer the best. Though as you said they are all good.MORE!

I have now started the third day of asking pop cross studios for terraria bosses as dragons. Some good entries that I have put on here previously are the twins, the eye of Cthulhu, the moon lord, the wall of flesh, and if you’re feeling a little spicy, then you could probably go with something like the Empress of light. I honestly enjoyed this.. The Red Eyes Black Dragon Magical Girl is probably my personal favorite of the three, though I tend to like darker color sets anyways and Red Eyes is one of my absolute most favorite Yu-Gi-Oh creatures... Barely beaten out by Yubel but Yubel is a strange one to categorize due to being more than just another creature
I especially loved this one! 11:08 had me rolling on the floor laughing!! I really enjoyed the deserty sort of vibe of the second drawing and its probably my favorite of the episode. I wish I could draw humans as good as you, but I mainly draw dragons and I'm honestly really proud of my dragon drawings, but keep the amazing art coming!! 😁
