I done same than also car get's shutdown in running..than i change full kit new filter & filter body too ...car running some 2000km than sam prblm...other problem is not there this is only prblm how to fix this problem??? Plz help me ...car runs some km than gets shutdown its catch air in filter again & again
You've eliminated the filter, filter body and fit new O ring so that is ok, now you need to suspect air between the filter and connection to injectors and lines back to tank. If the fuel pump in the tank is failing that might be the issue if it is old and car has high Kms. Any warning lights on dash? Does the engine just konk out or what? Does it fire back up or difficulty starting again? Do you have a rough/misfire injector? Vagcom would be useful to check fuel rail pressure and do live tests etc.
@@HatBoyHarvey thankx bro for rly ...i have check fuel line its ok injection are ok & i putt new fuel motor to ...i but didn't take a long drive..i wish problem should be clear
Any plans to do more x type videos ? I've got to change the belts on mine and could use your brilliant tutorials, they are among the clearest on YT. You've helped me out a few times, thank you ! Love the channel . 👍
Yes, working on it now as I have injector issue. I will need to change the belts at some point as the miles have crept up, not sure when
Fantastic video, thanks! 🙏🙏
But...no skoda-logo on bonnet? 😪
Thanks, my badge fell off ;-/
@@HatBoyHarvey oh the tragedy 😪 A new one coming?
Hey, I have received the prize yesterday. I have already tested it, works perfectly, quite useful thing to have. The included drawing of Harvey is nice, I like it 🙂. Polish translation is not perfect but understandable, anyways I appreciate that you included it. Got charged with customs but it's ok, nothing can be done about it. Once again thanks for the prize and wish you the best 😀
Oh no! Just what I didn't want to happen. I can only apologize profusely, it is my first time doing that kind of post. I will PM you so I can pay you the customs, no worries, Glad you liked the items :-)
👍
love the tdi vids, will you be doing a how to cambelt change on the Skoda 👍
Thanks,I will, it is on my list of videos
First, thank you! Second, what can i do with old fuel? Will a gas station take it?
Diesel is a good cleaner of old dirty engine parts, so is very useful. I suggest keeping it in a suitable sealed container for that reason :-)
@@HatBoyHarvey good idea thanks!
How necessary is it to fill the canister before replacing? I don't want to take a trip to the petrol station just to buy a can and fill it if it's not necessary
They often fire up easily, but if you get an air lock in the pipes somewhere you may have to clear that for it to run.
Not necessery, just turn the ignition key two times, when you turn the key it start the electric pump and it will fill it up itself
Make more videos os superb mrk 2,
I personally love your videos
Thank you
You're welcome :-)
I just did mine, thanks to your video, I can see some tiny flakes of metal in the reservoir, is this normal ? Car drives perfect
That's why the filter is there, remove the flakes, new filter, job done. Seriously nothing to worry about, but obviously monitor this over the next change. The high pressure fuel pump can wear and be responsible, but this is not a worry unless the car starts to run badly. Also monitor the engine for odd noises, temp increases, poor fuel economy etc and You could try changing the engine oil more regularly, something I do also :-)
@@HatBoyHarvey thank you very much, I took care of to local mechanic and he told me to put some engine oil into fuel tank and it will help lubricante the high pressure pump, I did that and actually the engine is way more smoother now
Thank you very much for this very good video, really helpful and presise.
Thanks, Glad you enjoyed it :-)
What an excellent technically correct guide 👍
Maybe just a check for leaks bit on the end, but a great vid 😎
Thanks, glad you liked it and yes checking for leaks should obviously have been in there :-)
@@HatBoyHarvey Nice to see someone with an understanding of cleanliness on a fuel system 👍
Good video. Please help me with my question, - Isn't it necessary to bleed the system? Or maybe there is a pump in the tank that pumps when the ignition key is turned on? I'm afraid of airing the system. My car as same, engine 1.9tdi, year 2009. Thank you
No need to bleed the system as it is designed to eliminate air by itself, but if you follow the video stay on the side of caution. Don't open the system and leave it for days before finishing or you will ask for trouble. Fill the canister with clean new fuel, bolt the top on and fire it up - no worries :-)
@@HatBoyHarvey thank you) in your video also engine 1.9tdi? Or 2.0? Your channel is very informative
Both engines filters can be changed without worry of bleeding as long as you mitigate any chances by filling the canister :-)
Another Great Video Harvey! Thanks very much!
My pleasure :-)
