I'm loving it tbh, it has pros and cons as every other city in the world, and everything was cheaper when I moved here a few years ago (housing, public transports, museum tickets, food...everything) then the pandemic and the war appeared.... but it is still a beautiful city, you can find anything you're looking for! I do not attended Politecnico di Milano so i couldn’t do an honest review.
First of all: they are both very good university if you want to study engineering in Italy.
As far as I know, politecnico di Milano has a slightly better didactic level ( on average, but it depends on which engineering you choose), on the other hand, politecnico di Torino has a slightly better job occupation statistics.
I think the real difference is made by the city, Turin and Milan are completely different (Milan is bigger and more caotic but it is the most modern city in Italy. Turin is smaller and more abitabile, and last but not least, less expensive)
I suggest you to check online more information about both the cities in order to understand which fit better for your needs 😊
