And out of all those bands, not one has an awesome hit song that can compete against timeless hits from the 60's, 70's, and 80's. All these bands are mediocre songwriters, and that's why they will never bring rock back. The Darkness almost brought rock back with "Thing Called Love", but sadly couldn't write a follow up hit song to keep the momentum going, and they can't be the only ones to lead the revolution. If we really want rock to come back, we need the best songwriters around to join forces with many young talented bands. All these bands think they can write songs, and they're so stubborn and refuse to reach out to songwriters for help. Performers from the past weren't so big headed, and gladly collaborated with songwriters and did whatever it took to bring great music to the world, because they knew it wasn't about them, it was about the music.
@@KimberlyTable2 it's because the new generations dont like rock music. Theres plenty of rock musicians that have talent with writing, but they arent classic rock. Kaleo is a rock band that definetly can write good rock songs, but they're have more blues roots. Barns courtney has a hint of dirt in his music(first album anyhow) and imo is a lyrical genius. Des Rocs is rock that I cant really compare to anything else. He definetly has his own sound. The biggest problem is that celebrities are based on their looks now and sound is almost secondary. All the bands he listed are great though. They have the sound and the writing is fine, but either way I'd consider at least dirty honey to have potential

Really dig the contemporary spin on the old school vibe. Nostalgia has a powerful influence on the emotions; I know I've been kicking it since 1966 and am soaking up the classic rock influenced bands of the moment. What is not to like!
