I've been playing League of Legends for over 10 years. I've been waiting for them to make a series or movie for a long time, it was definitely worth the wait. They have definitely made a masterpiece. I'm not surprised that the Arcane series is this good because the cinematics on youtube are really good. I can't wait for season 2.

Silco’s first scene. Oh I guess this is the generic bad guy
Silco’s last scene. I’m crying and I don’t care who sees it!
Exactly my thoughts.
This was such an amazing and heartbreaking tribute for Jinx, when Silco told her "I would've not given you to them, not for anything" and "don't cry, your perfect". This words exactly what got me, his dialogue show's how he genuinely cared and appreciated her despite her imperfection, making troubles and jinxing all her works. Even though it feels like Silco was manipulating her, hiding her from her sister or years, he was the only one who believed her, more than her sister Vi who knows that the powder she knew was already gone. This was such a great tribute as it shows a detailed scene to all of powder's pain from all the harsh things she went through, being an outcast to everyone and the time she was left and blamed by Vi from the death of their family. With all the pain, Silco was the only one who manages to free her from it, giving her a new name "Jinx" in the river, helping her forget about her bitter and traumatic past. I just think that Jinx deserve more love and I just want to give her a hug, due to all the suffering she's been through. Knowing that she is now all alone by herself and her changed sister was not the Vi she knew who loved and defended her like she used to from the past. Jinx deserve better.
Didn’t Silco believe that Vi was dead though? He seemed genuinely surprised when he found out she had been locked up and hidden in a prison for all of those years.
But it was a selfish love. Jinx is suffering which makes her cling onto Silco, Silco knows this so he doesn’t want her to change and grow from it. He uses her trauma against her.
@@MrWizeazz yeah marcus never told him that she was in the prison
I don't think their relationship was healthy though, Jinx is messed up, and I mean that in a sad way, she didn't deserve anything that got thrown her way and while Vi found it hard to accept who she is now, I think that's partially because of the fact that she is the reason that Jinx is Jinx and not Powder. Don't forget that Vi is a person too and that guilt and realisation isn't easy and it's hard to accept that. unfortunately it took too much time for the rift between the sisters to be mended which sucks but is far more realistic than for Vi to just suddenly accept Jinx.
Is it tragic, yes, does some of the mess that Jinx is have some fault of Vi's, yes, but don't say that Vi should have done something because that means that Vi isn't her own character. She has her own shit to work through due to the fact that she was away from everything for years. When she first pushed Powder away it was because she was dealing with the fact that Powder had unintentionally killed her friends. Her emotions took over which is just human, did it cause her more pain in the long run, yes but don't say that Vi should have done better because she just lost 2 of her friends and her father has been crushed, taking the logical route there just wasn't going to happen.
@@quendi5557 exactly! Thank you for explaining so clearly. Vi also is very damaged with all of this, and deserve time enough to deal with her guilt and process that her sister is gone.
Silco imo is the best Villain ever written so far, its character arc and human qualities are unparalleled, far from the typical villains of almost every story out there
One of the best beautiful edits i've watched so far ♥..
Tbh at first i thought Silco was using & raising her as a weapon. But as i watch through the series i realize SIlco genuinely care & love for Jinx, and that he wanted to build a world together with Jinx as his daughter. Silco didn't create Jinx, Vi did. Jinx said it herself. Silco was there for Jinx, raised her & actually believed in her, he gave his trust to Jinx fully & never doubted her.
The ending was extremely sad, Silco telling Jinx that he wouldn't given her up not for anything, even his dreams. He bravely admitted to Jinx that she is his daughter, not even blaming Jinx for ending up shooting him. Telling her "You're Perfect" because it felt like Jinx wanted to hear those words from Vi her own sister the most but Vi could never accept that "Powder" was long gone & could never say those words to Jinx.
i'ma go cry in the corner right now ;-;
2:11 *Dumbledore's farewell starts playing*
Me: Oh no, you wanna make me cry, right? Well, we'll see.
Silko: don't cry, you are perfect.
Me: *painfully sobbing*
This is honestly one of the best edits i've seen for a piece of animated media in a very very long time. great job my guy
the ending is so sad vi rejecting her and stuff and silco i jsut loved it so much but hated how it ends and the council
my most favourite scenes are the ones where jinx activates the flair and the first time meeting jinx when shes grown and the first time jayce discovered the magic and where vi and jayce are fighting with eachother
also when jinx listens to get jinxed
Such a great cut!
Got a League of Legends ad before this video started.
Jinx looks so tired, I wish I could hug her and let her catch some rest.
Bruh!!!! This was perfect
That's some fine piece of editin'
Arcane is flawless
You did such an amazing job, I'm blown away! Thanks for creating this video and sharing it with us
I recently finished arcane and I'll be honest, at first it was a bit difficult for me to empathize with Jinx probably due to her erratic nature. While I understood her background, and I understood "Powder", Jinx's character wasn't easy for me to see through completely. But after this edit, I think that last door to my heart just opened and for the first time, I cried for Jinx.
Nothing justifies her actions, but I do feel sympathy for how she's struggled with her internal turmoil and her overbearing trauma. She has wounds so deep that most people wouldn't survive.
You did an amazing job of editing this and really brought justice to Jinx's character.
This video is perfect
Ngl althought she is evil as how she ended, I can, we can understand the obsesion silco had on Jinx "perfection".
It is the perfect 🥺🥺🥺😢😢😢😢😭😭😭😭😭😭

For me this is great example of how the Joker and Harley could have been done by DCU if they had the brains and talent to create characters that are more than action fapmaterial. Silco and Jinx's relationship is absolutely fantastic to the point where even the audience can't be sure when he is telling the truth and when he is just manipulating her. Loved every second of Act 1
I can't even speak 🥺 truth.
I can relate to Jinx in her trauma but I wouldn’t kill anyone like her.
wow.
really nice impressive @Daddynegan
How is this a fan edit? i feel like im watching a god damn trailer for the show; its so well made wtf?????? i cant express how well done this is. im left speechless. every clip and audio is just so well pared.
Thank you!

How does he encode a youtube video that looks better than me streaming directly from RUclips? Lol. Crazy quality cuts and video quality.
Well did you know daddynegan makes the best edits of basically every show he makes tributes on, he's probably the best tribute creator on youtube right now, thats how.
This shows way too much important stuff to be a trailer. Truly great video though.
We saw negative voices torturing Jinx through the course of the season one and I love to think that in the next season of Arcane they will bring back Silco as a positive voice in her head, that instead of barraging her will support her
I think that it would be great.
I would cry
That would make a great parallel to Vi imagining Vander when she was knocked down in the fight with Sevika. It would really punctuate the wedge driven between the sisters for Jinx to imagine Silco the way Vi imagines Vander, where Jinx sees Silco as more of a father to her than Vander was, damaging their sister-bond even further.
Kinda how Vander was an inspirational voice to VI when she was getting her butt kicked!!!!
that would be an absolute dream
Silco is a child kidnaper, a lier, and enemy of Jinx. He always opposed Jinx's well being. He only kept Powder as pet to achieve his own satisfaction. He was willing to lie to Jinx so she stays on his side, for whatever sick reasons he needed her. Dont Doubt that the only reason they never presented Silco as romantically involved with Jinx, was because of the PG13 rating. Hint: Jinx sit on Silco's lap.
In episode 3, I wanted silco dead. In episode 9, I am literally crying over his death. Do you understand how hard that is to do for any show let alone an animated story with only 9 eps. This show is so good there's a small part of me that is terrified that the next season can't possibly live up to this.
You're not the only one, even I'm scared that Season 2 won't be as good as Season I.
@@chocolattefeverdreams4228 yeah indeed...
Arcane Season 1 took 6 yrs to make. I am worried too. The crew might also feel pressured and thus crack under it. Maintaining victory is harder than achieving it.
Heck! It can still be a good season but I don't think anything can recreate the original feel. I hope the writers and audience understand that. It can be just as good if not the same. Who knows? Maybe it could be better.
@@chocolattefeverdreams4228 Bro it's riot, everything they do is perfect, despite the game 🤣
It won't be as good. But it'll be different. Because a lot of the great story elements and character dynamics won't be as fresh or good. But different can still be fun. I think if everyone goes in with less expectations and expect a different kind of show, it will be well received
I think the biggest thing about Jinx - something that everyone seems to get wrong about her - is that what she wants isn't _love._ She wants _acceptance._ From the very first episode, to the last, every single thing Jinx does is so she can feel accepted. Her whole personality and life changed unrecognizably, but the one thing that didn't was this. Even as a child, she insists on tagging along and helping out even though there's no real need. And as an adult, all she wants is to be accepted as Silco. She wants to be worthy. It's not about love, though that was a huge part of it, hell, Vander and Vi loved her - in Vi's case, still loves her - so it wasn't that Silco loved her when no one else would. The reason why she was so attached to him is because Silco accepted her for who she was, trauma, flaws and all, something no one else, not Ekko and the firelights, or Silco's gang, or even Vi could do.
Would you like to see another video, a tribute to this beautiful character?

@@danielrasmussen4095 I love this analysis.
Is love without acceptance even love?
“Is there anything more undoing, than a daughter?” Is one of my all time favourite silco quotes. He understood his brother in that moment. He understood why. As a father. He would have given everything for them. It shows his growth and how complicated his character is.
He was a fucking psycho who manipulated and broke Powder but he was still a man, and was able to change enough to see that he could love and be loved.
@@TheDragonsRose Definitely a psycho, but he would've died for the daughter she became
"I would've never let them take you" after being offered his god damn city on a silver plater, like c'mon, the dude earned the trophy for the best written character of the show at that moment for me
Hell, i've felt more love from Silco towards Jinx than even Vander himself, like wtf
VI and Vander broke powder. Silco embrassed her and gave her the family she always wanted.
@@TheDragonsRose even Jinx herself said that it was Vi who made her crazy, not Silco's manipulation. Also in the finale he actually handled Jinx being Jinx a lot better than Vi did in ep.3. She ruined basicly everything she touched, yet he didn't have a glimpse of regret.
@@Atriedis Thats just false, Vander gave up his dreams for Powder, and Vi always stood by powder, was even going to turn herself in to the enforcers and go to jail probably forever just to protect powder. They wanted the best for powder. Vi was a child when the accident happened and she only ran around the corner to calm down. She tried to run back but was kidnapped.
The person who broke powder was siIico. He is the one that created the situation they were in, he is the one who kidnapped Vander and put her whole famiIy in danger. If SiIico succeeded in his mission that day, powder would have been an orphan bc SiIco tried to kiII ALL of her famiIy. He is the reason aII this happened. Bc he wanted petty revenge on Vander.
AIso, SiIico literally induIged her deIusions. He lied to Jinx and told her that Vi would never love her and that she cant trust anybody. What kind of parent does that? Makes their chiId feeI so isoIated. He IiteraIIy toId her that he was the ONLY person in the world she can trust. He didnt even think how IoneIy that would make her feeI once he died. They were meant to be the villains of the story, but when Silco grabbed that gun, he was trying to make Vi stop hurting his daughter. He argued but remained relatively calm until he saw Jinx in pain, each name Vi spoke a knife cutting deeper and deeper. Then the reverse happened-I know I’m not the first to say this, but it’s true, Powder’s last act was to save her sister, and Jinx avenged her father by killing Powder.
I love this: Powder’s last act was to save her sister, and Jinx avenged her father by killing Powder.

Jinx and Silco are my favorites, but Silco just stole the whole season 1 for me, such really well writen character, he is one badass mothertrucker, but if you pay attention to his actions, even the subtles decisions, you can see he is human, full of flaws but still has a heart, when that man that has a mindset of 'Power are for the people who are willing to do anything for it' begins to falter because of a child its so interesting, then he reconizes why Vander got soft, Silco was in the same path, after so many years he sees that Vander was right, he was ready to throw away the 'Nation of Zaun' for his baby daughter, he would never give her to them, that final scene... Jesus, the end for Silco was perfect, thats was beautiful! and sad as F.
Sometimes kids can make you (unexpectedly) soft. Whether you notice it or not.

Don't get me wrong, I agree on many things you say. And I get what you mean when you talk about Silco becoming Soft like Vander did. Refocussing on the love to his "daughter" before his own life goal and dreams. (Agreeing with that also totally.)
BUT... Vander was NOT right.
Silco is.
Vander thought he saved the girls by "keeping peace" because zhaun could never become free by force.
But we see that Silco proofed him wrong. He (with and through Jinx especially) achieved exactly that.
Silco's last words...
The words of a man willing to sacrifice the dream of a lifetime to protect a little girl. The words of a father that loved his daughter untill the end, despite all circumstances.

It's so interesting to see how people can interpret these things differently. How I saw it, In his mind, Jinx IS perfect. His vision of Zaun IS what Jinx is. The chaos, trauma unpredictability everything. That is why Jinx is perfect and he couldn't give her to them. Yes he loved her. But more than that she is the embodiment of his dream. You cannot trade Jinx for Zaun if the two are in essence the same thing.
He did't say I accept you, flaws and all or I love you despite everything. He said don't cry, you are perfect. Don't be sorry, you did nothing wrong. now show them.
And she did
He didn't give up on his dreams for her. He gave up his life for his dreams
*“Don’t cry. You’re perfect.”* The best and worst thing Silco could have ever said to Jinx.
The reasurment that there was someone in her life who cared and loved her unconditionally despite her flaws. But also the confirmation that she didn’t need to change, that the violence, trauma and panic attacks were part of her, and that everything she had done until this moment was right. Silco sealed Jinx’s future with one sentence.
After all if the person that most cared about you in their dying words said “you are perfect”, would you ever change?
What an absolutely outstanding explanation of their relationship dynamic. Thank you for putting into words what I've been feeling, and so eloquently!!
That last, "you are perfect." He said it despairingly. As if he realized in that moment his mistake in how he raised her. In the end all he could offer her was a toxic, co-dependent love, but love nonetheless.

But of course, this editor has done a great job and it shows.
@@visicircle your welcome! Its really amazing what they did with these characters and how interesting they made Silco.
One of my favorite things to do with villains is create a relationship for them (no matter what the nature of it is) that shows they’re more human side, that shows they’re flaws and vulnerability. For Silco, its being a father to Jinx.
I also love the time he takes to process everything before jinx kidnaps him. He finally understands Vander through Jinx, and most beautiful, comes to the same conclusion as him, nothing is worth it if he is not with his daughter.
He does the same as Vander and decides to give up on his dream for his family. *“Is there anything so undoing as a daughter?”*
Silco accepts whatever Jinx has done, it does not mean Silco believes what Jinx has done are right to do, it's more like Silco knows Jinx's problem, but he accepts all of that, no matter it's right or wrong, he just thinks Jinx is the best (perfect) Jinx. Thats the reason he does not Jinx to change herself.
No, I would not. Not for Anything.
It's cool how they managed to make Jinx the most all-around capable and by far the most dangerous but at the same time the most vulnerable character in the show.
Really fits with her being a glass cannon in-game too.
Sadly, its not Jinx what makes her capable, instead, the new version of the drugs she is using. and that is NOT cool, for she is a victim of such perverted mind.

I honestly hate that people compare Harley and Jinx. Oh look, a crazy girl. They must be the same. No, they're both interesting characters for their own reasons. There's nothing alike between them aside for their murderous tendencies.
Also people comparing Joker and Silco.... no. Absolutely not. Silco is justified, I'm sorry, but he is. He wants to fight against Piltover who've done nothing but ignore Zaun and let them live in filth, even the topsiders themselves recognize that they are NOT fit to be making any decisions over Zaun. The Shimmer was more than just a hard drug, it had healing capabilities, and he needed *something* to gain traction and overtake the other mob bosses. The Lanes were no worse under him than they were under Vander, really.
He needed to kill Vander. And Silco was at a disadvantage, so he struck from the shadows.
Vi herself would have, were it not for her entanglement with Vander, sympathized with him. After all, she's the one who was begging to fight, who was feeling similarly betrayed after the revelation that he was working with the Enforcers. She's the one who sees why war is necessary.
Joker is crazy for the shits and giggles. Silco is anything but crazy and more of an anti-villain than anything else.
Joker doesn't care a single bit for Harley. Silco loves Jinx without question.
Joker has no goal but chaos. Silco has an understandable and fleshed out goal that is clear as day.
@@limeliness The lanes under Vander was a powder keg, stable but light a match and, well. There's no way Benzo would have been able to maintain the status quo without Vander.
The lanes under Silco's rule was far more dynamic, before where everyone lived equally in the same filth now there was a societal hierarchy to climb. Riches to achieve, fresh air to breathe etc, etc. On the flipside far more ended up in the gutters than before, addicted and mutated beyond recognition by the shimmer.
He brought opportunity where Vander had provided equality.
Yeah!! I thought of Jinx as her own character before I knew ppl were comparing her to Harley
I wouldn't say they're the same by any means, but I can see why people are reminded of Harley. They're both colorful, psychotic women with a love for explosions, fucked up guys, and a morbid sense of humor. But you're right, it would be a disservice to both characters to say they're the same.
@@limeliness Joker wasn't crazy for only shits and gigles though, since the movie has very much proved it was by something else entirely. Although you are right about not having any goals but chaos. But it's weird how people even considered comparing silco and joker together. They are literally nothing alike. Silco never does any gags nor jokes, and he is always more stern and serious. This is my first time honestly hearing that people thought Silco was like the Joker. I can see Jinx and Harley quinn being compared since when Jinx was initially made, she was literally just a Harley quinn clone. Who fortunately was able to still be beloved by the community due to the "Get Jinxed" music video.
It was pointed to me that "Fishbones", Jinx's iconic rocket launcher used at the end of the season, has some details that make the final scene even more heartbreaking. Fishbones has 2 different eyes, one normal and one damaged like Silco, and is (obviously) in the shape of a shark, which implies more that the design was a thoughtful choice as a gift for her "father" since she would know how much he loved the sea monsters that could be seen through the underwater glass in the factory scenes in Act 1. It is likely he told her stories of how he admired them, found them beautiful, just as he mentioned it to the street thug and Singe. So when he asked her to build this weapon to achieve his dream of Zaun, she literally hand crafted him a magic nuke launcher in the shape of his favorite animals, just like she has her bombs. She made him the kind of thoughtful, special present that a child would make.
There are so many little details in the show that really connect the story in ways that would only be meaningful for characters that are "alive". So many tiny set-ups and presentations that allow for big connections later on in the series. It's kind of mind blowing.
Silco is a terrible person, and a predatory manipulator that reinforced the violent and erratic nature of Jinx, but his theme of loyalty above everything else is emphasized even in his final moments when he tells Jinx that he could never betray her, that he loved her, that she was "perfect". He knew even in that final moment, she would carry the weight of his desire for Zaun to its conclusion. She had to fire that weapon.

Jesus. I'm learning something new about this show all the time. I've watched it three times now and every time I watched it I saw something different. This show is seriously a gift to humanity. In a day and age where shows are being pumped out too fast just to make a buck, we get this heartfelt masterpiece.
o.o
I love this observation but the fact that fishbones is a shark predates the arcane story, so that connection is a nice coincidence. Still, it's a good explanation for the shape of fishbones.
@@Morgan-oq7uj that doesn't mean its a coincidence, the creators can have intentionally added those details to Silcos characters so they'd corelate to fishbone.
I appreciate how both Silco and Vi love Powder/Jinx for who she is regardless of what she's done, but I think Vi just believes that Powder still has the potential to be better, to be good, whereas Silco embraced Jinx's moral ambiguity and chaos in entirety as part of a beautiful daughter's love.
her past was hurting her that's what vi doesn't understand she saw her sister during 3 minutes and didn't notice she was not powder anymore.
Silco did his best to give her a purpose and a goal in life which what was she was the most scared being useless to nobody.
Vi may love jinx but cannot accept her. Only silco did, and not only that he also helped her grow and gave purpose.
The life she had before may have been better according to morality standards but she was never cared for the way she needed.
Jinx was useful to Silco. Despite all her chaos, Jinx was an insanely big asset for Silco. Vi coming back and wanting to find Jinx threatened everything for Silco.
I think the main issue with Vi's love is that it isn't acknowedging reality. She doesn't know how to love Jinx without condoning her, as her way of loving her before was constant affirmation and assurance that she was doing well and enough, so now offering critique is something so foreign to their relationship that it's going to come across as a lack of love to both. Meanwhile Silco doesn't care to criticize Jinx because 1. he's morally faulty himself and 2. he's irrationally driven by his care for Jinx's emotional wellbeing over everything, including her physical and psychological wellbeing, even the wellbeing of the entire undercity. It's a type of love Powder never received, one that didn't wait for her to become something that she wasn't, but also encourages Jinx in her path of disregarding the idea of needing to grow or change, because before she was constantly being told even by Vi that she'd be enough once she changed, or at the very least if she changed and became more useful, while Silco doesn't care for her abilities at all, he has a very pure expression of love that is just extremely unhealthy, perfectly fitting into the situation Jinx is in to the point that he hammers home the faulty mindset she has. It's great that he values her emotional well being so much, but it's diminishing his other values as well as disregarding the other traits Jinx/Powder would need to thrive.
Another thing that Jinx and Silco's relationship reveals is Silco's proclivity to be driven by his own emotions subconsciously. Him disregarding the well being of his ideal Zaun because he cares for Jinx more now, isn't exactly a logically consistent move. Also, his original motivations for running the underground as he does were for "respect" and vengeance, as implied by how he hated Vander for his betrayal and his sympathizing with topside. All of this implies to me that Silco was driven mainly by his own sense of being wronged by the world and his emotions, explaining why he's so lacking in empathy and so quick to express contempt and have intense emotional outbursts. His dramatic way of doing things as well feeds into this thought, the idea that the world deserves to suffer for what it did to me, the "we'll show them all" concept. Vi and Vander were always the ones driven by a sense of duty to their loved ones ultimately, a focus on what is responsible and practical for my family to achieve our goals, but Silco and Jinx are driven by their emotional needs that they feel have yet to be met. Vander had really changed when he became the peacemaker of the lanes, as he began to value the safety and security of his family over his own emotions, similarly to Vi's act 1, while Silco didn't really change, his emotional needs were just getting met in his identification with Jinx, so he was again guided by his emotions.
This is by far the best edit of Arcane from what I've seen. You perfectly captured Silco's genuine love and care for Jinx, he may not be a good man, but he was a damn good father. Thank you for this amazing edit.
Silco and Vander were the perfect dads for Jinx and Vi respectively.
Yes all the voiceover, editing is so well done!! At first I thought he was grooming her until I realized they were more like Father/daughter
Let’s be honest, he wasn’t a good father lol but he did clearly love jinx as a daughter and meant well for her. Sometimes intentions aren’t enough to be a good parent.
The thing is he was neither truly a good father nor a good man until he realised that he wouldn't give anything up for his daughter. He would've given his own life in a second for freedom but he wouldn't give his daughter for anything. He knew what they would do to her, how they would look at her. She was a monster to them and he couldn't let them have it their way and in turn he saved the under city's other jinxes from the upper city. The ones "not fit" for the new world, the ones that would be considered "lesser" or "not good enough". Just look at what they thought of Vi even with Caitlyn defending her and speaking highly of her.
Silco is literally my favorite character. I've never seen a more in depth character. To his role and his actions, it fits this whole universe perfectly. But aside from being a cartoon character, he shows the most human interactions ever. Riot really showed how behind a bad guy is a human being with emotions, just gotta peel back the layers. Some of my favorite scenes with this man:
1.when he's yelling at Jinx, he was angry but somehow it didn't feel toxic, more of a frustrated father with teenager
2: the water scene, at first i thought he was gonna kiss her, but after rewatching it, i noticed that its more of an awkward way of showing affection, which would look weird to people looking in but is normal for them. the way he demonstrated with himself first, showing Jinx it was safe, the water was comforting. The way JInx held his hand, it was so gentle, and the way he held her was his way of saying 'let go'. Just everything about this screams, domestic.
3. Death, his death really hit me, not having much of a good father figure i saw this and imagined myself in that role, having someone say 'youre perfect' hit me so hard. the way he didnt even get mad or try to soothe himself he comforted Jinx. he even reassured her that he wouldnt give her up, he knew he was gonna die and he made sure he left a positive (negative) impact on her.
this man seriously loved this girl, the breaking and the rehealing process, it has to go to Silco. He picked her up at her lowest and rebuilt her up, nursed her genius, and helped her with her trauma. shes still crazy but its better than left for dead. Best dad and character award: SILCO
ty for coming to my ted talk
nailed it pretty much. i never wouldve imagined silco to become this in depth character. truly amazing how insanely well this show is written.
Beautifully written
I wouldn't say Silco is Best Dad, the guy's a crime kingpin, magic drug dealer and partially responsible for Jinx's traumas after all.
But yeah, he did his best with what he could and was, and he was dedicated to the end. That's more than you can say for most cartoon and anime parents.
Wow
Not the best dad. But a dad nonetheless.
I get flack, but I love Silco and Jinx's dynamic. It's a bit creepy and demented, but uh, they are creepy and demented. They're broken people with mental health issues. They cracked, but despite that, they get each other. I enjoyed this pair. This demented, fucked up, emotional, and vengeful, yet-full-of-depth pair. I love that his only soft spot is Jinx because he sees himself in her and vice versa. I'm also a bit masochistic because I like the sadness I feel knowing that both of their stories could have been so much different if the people closest to them treated them differently. It's tragic, but it's also titillating and unknown.
That's exactly what gets me as well. That there could've been a good ending for them both, a better one than the one they had, if just Vi/ Vander stayed with them.
Couldn't have said it better myself!
But Vi and Vander are not perfect gods - they left for their own reasons/limitations that prevented them from acceptance. That's what gets me the most. It's so real. There could have been a good ending, but...there's nobody really to blame. So sad. Even irl sometimes we don't know how to treat those that have gone thru harsh things or have mental issues, either, simply bc we too are humans who don't know everything.
He actually had jinx as his little under age girlfriend.
exACTLY sammy.
whenever ppl say silco didnt give her the medical/mental help when she needed, im like do you think they have therapy down there. their doctor is a sadistic experimenting scientist who created a dehibilatating drugs. Silco and Jinx's relationship makes sense in that fucked up little world they had to live in.
One thing I noticed about Jinx and Silco is that they rely so much on each other. Silco trusts her to finish the weapon, do the thingy for his eye, and takes care of the firelights. Jinx needs him to accept her, Trust her, and tell her everything’s ok. Damn. Arcane is the deepest show I’ve seen. Besides a few others
I love your passion but I can't like your post BECAUSE. . . I let a weak man die, but Mia, another was reborn. . . Betrayal of our closest family and friends can either do what they did to me in the past and eat oneself alive or as Silco states in truth only garnered through the worst physical/mental/emotional suffering, reforge one into something better and new.
When I hear Silco say this I have flashbacks to a history channel special on Japanese culture (guessing you love anime as well based on the icon.)
That special taught me at 15yo how a Samurai Sword was made. Forged 1, 000 times then to test it (I don't agree but it's history) the Samurai would try to chop 3 slaves in half. If they succeeded the sword was worthy.

One thing I would say Mia(I love that name btw, mine is quite unknown as well) is please don't call Silco a villain. I know anyone we don't relate too more than 51% of the time is a villain in our heart but Silco is neither a hero or a villain.
He was someone born probably like us, into a bad environment where situations and nurture couldn't comprehend.( Curious if you agree on my take or not and why.) nature. ( I apologize I left the word nature out and came back because I've self diagnosed myself as something along the lings of dyslexic).
I know based on personal experience that Silco is an Anti-Villain which is someone that arises because of something wrong with society in response 'to' that something which is wrong.

I'm crying while typing! You've managed to make such a beautiful, heartbreaking video and bring up all the emotions again! Finally a great tribute, that highlights the most compelling character arc in the show)
Silco became my favorite character)) His motives are reasonable and relatable) At first appearance in the series we see him as villain, motivated by heartbreak from his brother's betrayal) Vander relationship with Silco is so similiar to Vi and Powder's) It's poetic and tragic))
I was blown away by the way we get to see him peeling back the layers of just one-dimensional bad guy and showing his soul through his interaction with Jinx)
And final conversation with Vander's sculpture was so sad and revealing of who Silco really is as a person) He missed his best friend, he made this statue out of undying admiration and respect for Vander) Even when Jinx shot him, he didn't show any anger, didn't even scold her) Silco loved her with all her flaws, as a real father would)
Thank you so much for this edit! You're very talented))) Keep it up!

No way did silco build that statue of Vander??? Also it's ironic Vander wasn't going to give up vi just like silco with jinx
Wait I'm confused are you saying Jinx or Silco's character arc is the most compelling?
I knew Arcane's story beats poetically repeated itself, but a great montage video like this illustrates it perfectly.

Ngl Silco was a good dad despite him being a villain
silco spent his last moments comforting jinx, there was no anger or betrayal, just comfort and if that doesn't show you how much he cared for her, then i don't know what will.
He may not have been a good man or a good father. But he sure as hell was a loving father.
He truly loved his daughter, and not even everything he fought for was enough for him to abandon her.
I love his little line of "is there anything so undoing as a daughter?"
He was never planning on handing her over
I think as soon as Jayce said he would need to turn her in, the deal was off in Silcos eyes
What a show
There's no guide on how to be a perfect father or how to deal with a daughter with trauma book in Zaun. So he raised her with the only way he knew how, with unconditional love
True! I didn't know how to put it, but you did. Silco was a loving father. I'm seeing so many comments saying he was a "good father", but honestly, I don't think he was. He manipulated Powder and planned to get her sister killed. He wasn't a good influence on her.

Nothing define Silco and Jinx as a father and daughter. Instead, there are reasons to suspect that they were having a sexual relationship. Hint: Jinx sit on Silco's lap
@@aeonsoulstar9066 Touch isn't sexual unless you make it so. If Silco (the adult) initiated, it would definitely be grooming. the ironic thing is, that every time when I hear "don't cry. You're perfect." I start to cry. It just breaks something in me, I can't
I hate how people say that silco loved what he made but no! HE ACCEPTED Jinx for her flaws, and trauma, unlike her 'family' who simply accepted her simply because she's part of their family, and vi accepted powder, not Jinx,
Yes! You understand this the way I do. I love Jinx and Silco. Vi and Vander are the cause to the effect and the world is endlessly curious about the results.
I have seen every gamut of every response to Jinx and Silco, everything from they're evil to Silco is a pervert based on their interactions. As an Autistic man, I know without a doubt Jinx is first suffering from CPTSD and second she is Autistic.
It's sad to me that people watch this and cannot or will not comprehend the truth of a relationship without adding their own perversions as a Freudian slip.
In one sentence you stated the truth empathically and irreparably . I call that gifted which is why I'm writing to you personally as we both know nobody else will read this.
It's hard to find people with passion a this time and point so I'd welcome further communication from you. Looking forward to your response.
"Power comes to those who are willing to do anything to achieve it". Silco would do anything *but* give up on Jinx, robbing him of all hopes of achieving the power he dreamed his entire life.
He truly learned Vanders perspective by the end of his arc
You missing one thing. Power is only valuable when it helps achieving satisfaction. Jinx's was Silco's all in one satisfaction, the purpose of having power. Just notice how Jinx sit on Silco's lap. But I knew he loved her. I knew she was his daughter.
When he died, I cried. I love Silco and Jinx's relationship. So wholesome when alone, yet obviously dangerous.
I really wished he didn't die, but it makes sense for that to send her over the edge and fully embrace her perfection in which is Jinx.
And now she'll finally be able to show them all, just how perfect she is. For Silco.
This is my exact view on this. Thank you for putting it into words. I know most people think saddest death was the saddest but I personally think it was Silco’s
Don't cry You're perfect 💔

That father-daughter relationship between these two caught me. At first I thought Silco only manipulates Jinx but then I saw that he doesn't always do that, he does care about her and tries to protect him
Definitely a father I'd like to have.
I mean, kind of. He inititally planned to use her but started to look at her as a daughter and that was his demise. He basically made her. Even though the trauma she has comes from Vi's outbursts and the accidental killing of her friends, Silco's intervention when he kidnapps Vander and then proceeds to raise Powder in this betrayal narrative are ultimately the causes of her turning point. I don't think you would want a father that planned to murder you and your adoptive dad, only tothem change his mind because he sees a weapon in you. But then again, I don't know anything about your life. Still, amazing character arc. One of my favourite villains ever!
Of course I didn't mean that part of Silco. I know what he wanted to do with Jinx. Yes, I don't want a father who wants to murder me, but want the protective and loving side of him.
That was only presented as a close relationship, they did not stated it was a father/daughter relationship. In fact, there are reasons to believe Silco might have molested Powder as a child. Hint: Jinx sit in silco's lap. For obvious marketing reasons, this things are only hinted and not published.
@@aeonsoulstar9066 but I still agree with you, its a twisted relationship based on manipulation
@@aeonsoulstar9066 I believe you are correct. Jinx and Silco do have a father-daughter relationship, but it’s definitely a twisted one. The way Jinx acts around him does lead me to believe he wasn’t exactly the best father to her as she was growing up. 😔 Surprises no one else seems to see this problem.
Sigh. Stupid show. I hate it. I watched episode 1 BY ACCIDENT. …now I’m obsessed about this series. Ok? I’m obsessed. I’ve binged this season two times now. Looking for details.
It's fascinating how hard it is to reconcile how Silco is both a horrible person and a great father, and how those two traits affect each other
Probably one of the most troubling things I'm still trying to wrap my head around is that it looks to me Silco loved Jinx more than Vi did. Unlike Vi, Silco was willing to understand and teach Jinx to use the strengths she did have instead of cutting her out for her weakness- turning her into one of the most formidable forces in the underground. The one dream he had for years, the one that he ruined and ended lives over he was willing to give up simply because he loved her so much. Even when Jinx had shot Silco he didn't blame her, he told her that everything would be okay- that she would be okay, and that despite everything she's done he would never hurt her the way everyone else has.
He loved Jinx for what she was. Vi loved Jinx for what she could have been.
Vi didn't really love her anymore imo.
In the show she talks a lot about duty, but her desire shows the opposite. She does not WANT to spend time with Jinx like she used to. She choses her newly found romantic crush over her as a 2nd betrayal instead of her sister who's been hoping for years to reunite.
That is exactly what ended up fucking Powder.
@@romualdcaffeserre6230 yep, she loved who Jinx used to be, not who she was
@@idkman2633 Yup, and Silco is all about loyalty, to himself, to his cause, to Zaunites. He is like Jinx on that point, it's the loyalty promise that helped Jinx hold on when Vi wasn't there.
The only "lie" he told Jinx was something SIlco was not aware off, he truly thought Vi was dead and not in jail.
Vi lied to Powder, to Jinx, broke a promise to Vander to take care of her sister and to herself.

After watching arcane I now realise jinx is not just a rip off of Harley Quinn but a character with far more depth and seriousness than I could of ever imagined. Brilliant tribute
A Harley done right.
Wouldn’t she be more of a Joker than a Harley Quinn?
@@PrinceAkaiVtuber they’re fundamentally different. Harley was all about Crazy love and the thin line between love and madness. Jinx is about struggling to find herself and being accepted and how trauma can affect your entire worldview
I think now Jinx it's in her on league, so much depth that makes her unique, at least in my opinion
Jinx has nothing to do with Harley. Harley's just a dumb bitch who fell in love with a psycho and became like him. Jinx is a broken girl, who life and pain drove into complete madness.
I see lots of people talking about Silco and Jinx's relationship like Silco didn't actually care about her, he only cared about turning her into something that could serve him.
I by no means find their relationship healthy, but I think this take is so untrue. When Jinx messed things up for the people around her, including Silco, Silco stuck by her and showed her love and patience. He was willing to give up his life dream for her, and when she killed him he STILL stuck by her, showing her reverence.
Silco was hardcore messed up, but there's no doubt for me that he wholly and unconditionally loved her. Ultimately, I think this is why she chose to be "Jinx". Vi had forsaken her, Silco hadn't, and never would, not even when she killed him. I think this is a good lesson in that we become was is nurtured in us. Vi could not accept Jinx, she couldn't love her. Silco loved her, and in the end, she accepted that love. She chose to become the person who is loved.
And to those thinking he just loved "Jinx" because she was what he made her to be, she said it herself: Silco didn't make Jinx, Vi did. Powder was broken, traumatized, and scared. Silco loved her despite her REPEATEDLY messing up his plans, despite his right hand constantly telling him to ditch her. Him telling her to avoid Vi wasn't manipulative, he genuinely viewed Vi as someone who had chosen Piltover and was an enemy now, someone who would only hurt Jinx. When he took her out into the water, that wasn't a "become what I want you to be", that was a "you are hurting, I know this hurt too, and this is how to let this hurt go."
And most notably, Shimmer. He dosed everyone in his crew up with the stuff, he was making THEM into what he wanted. Freakishly powerful servants that did exactly as he said. But he never did to Jinx until she was on death's door and he was terrified of losing her, and he had to literally be knocked out because he couldn't be trusted to not interfere while seeing her suffer.
Honestly, I think one of the most powerful depictions of love I've seen in media. They're both so, so messed up, but the love itself was a truly beautiful thing that potently humanized their characters, Silco especially.
I couldn't have explained it better, damm

He’s good in the fact that he accepted her unlike everyone else, but bad in the sense that he allowed her mental issues to become problematic for both his cause and the enforcers. And, ultimately, herself. You can still love and accept someone and teach them that, even if accepted, their suffering isn’t a positive thing.

nothing in the serie defined Silco as a Dad to Powder. Its so amazing how people are willing to look away to the evidence just to defend a desired interpretation.
Look at the facts:
-Silco poisoned the child with drugs to send him to kill Powder's family
-Silco perversely kidnaped Powder the same day he got Jinx's family, with clear intentions.
-Silco Hide the facts to Jinx about her sister being alive, and send the order to kill her before she find out.
-Silco did not told Jinx that he got her family kill, but instead, allowed her to stay un her mental state to use it for his own benefit. Her feeling of guilt makes her blame her self, and his lies make her believe it.
-Silco kept powder as a pet, for he was not her ally. One doesn't betray your allies, lying to them to keep them under depression to keep using them.
Also:
-there are reasons to suspect that Silco and Powder had a twisted sexual relationship, and not a Father/Daughter relationship. Hint: Jinx sit on silco's lap

-Jinx become Silcos army because what else she gonna do in her time? I mean she like making waepon.
-Silco not punishing jinx after her reckless action which blow a building in piltover and even kill many enforcers. This trouble get Silco more heat and lowering his reputation. Enforcers he bribed, the one hand robotic women, and the council of underground agreed that Jinx should be cutted off. But Silco use his authority to keep jinx untouchable. Silco neglect his actual mission and do things only for Jinxs sake
I agreed that in the series there is no single fact that Silco acknowledged Jinx as his daughter. People just intrepreted their relationship the other way because the blind love Silco give is commonly come from parents who want their child to lived as their best.

We know kind people are sometimes does irrational and stupid things based on their feeling. That's why we like them

Dude, Im fucking speechless. This is literally a masterpiece. Your version is even better compared to Zurik23 and Slyfer’s. You gathered the emotions and represented Jinx in such an emotional way. I just want to say congratulations, brother!
while i never liked silco, or his actions to the underground, i can say that he is better than some real world parents. he always loved his daughter, and in her saw himself, saw the loved he begged for. all he wanted was acceptance, and affirmation that who he is, is perfect. since no one gave it to him, he gave it to his daughter through it all he never abandoned her, never insulted her, and much less touch her. when jinx lay on the floor after the explosion, the first thing he did was run to get her a doctor. the world told him that jinx was imperfect, that she needed to go, that she was a burden to the cause, that all she caused were problems. he never once gave an ear to those conversations. he gave up the one thing he loved other than jinx.., his nation of zaun. jayce was ready to give into his demands in exchange for the one thing he would never give up.. jinx. silco was this close to getting what he wanted, but he gave it all up. vander was a father figure to jinx, but she didn't really build that connection with him like Vi. plus she can't remember most of it because of her trauma, so silco really did become that father figure. silco loved her deeply until the bitter end when jinx accidentally killed him, but....even then, his love persisted, in his final moments he reassured her saying "don't cry..you're perfect". silco loved jinx, more than anyone in his world, and he was ready to make any sacrifice necessary to keep her safe, and alive.
Omg yesss finally someone understands he wasn’t a good father but he did love her, the creators made sure to make all the characters felt human and and express clearly that not all humans are perfect. We have to think about how this would be in the real world were people are divided kids going through trauma, hunger and adults doing everything they can to protect their own.

Maybe it’s the fact that they mean so much to each other, or that at a certain point they only had each other in their lives and no one else, but it is true, and it is there to stay. They’re linked in some undeniable, unbreakable way.
I was trying to eat my meal while watching this. Now I have tears in it
ok ok let's be real with you. i had your notification on and when i saw you uploaded this after Slyfer had uploaded yesterday, i decided to watch yours later, as a dessert after a meal. so i searched "Arcane tributes" and i found 5-6 actually decent ones. and then i came and watched yours. now i usually watch in 144p due to my bad internet connection but every once in a while, if i trust uploader for their quality, like you or Slyfer or GaroStudio or Zurik, i watch in 1080p.
let's say it like this :
*you exceeded my already high expectations, nearly as much the show itself did*
honestly you outdid not only the ones i watched after my search but Slyfer too. and that's some high praise. i'm saving this.
thanks for such great and high end quality content.
keep up the good work. wish you well. take care.
Thank you! Arcane series is like a dream come true for me. My aim is to convey the feelings of the series I watched, I am glad that I was able to achieve this.
although silco was the “villain” he was jinx’s only guardian that truly accepted who she was even after she was affected by the shimmer
Congratulations, you manage to perfectly convey the atmosphere and feeling with the events. This incredible tribute put me again at the mercy of the intense story of our dear Jinx, it even made me cry. Masterpiece!
I always have to pause it at 0:25. The look on her face. She’s so beautiful and innocent and sweet, man. To think what happens to her… Like I’m looking at my own little sister or daughter or something.
Holy shit that edit is legitimate the best on youtube
4:03 "Don't cry, you're perfect"
I've watched this an unhealthy amount of times, this is the best edit out there. It's like an official trailer.
I think the fact that there was the humanity in Silco to take in Jinx and care for her the best he possibly could makes him all the more… evil. He has a heart, but he has let his past experiences with betrayal and piltover blind him from the pain he caused and the choices he has made to hurt people. He’s not like Jinx who is so mentally broken and mislead she doesn’t know how to solve her problems more effectively and peacefully… he knew better.
I went from hating silco to crying when he died the amount of times I cried in this series
Jinx is not the villain anyone who says different don’t speak to me
2:10 That “dumbledore's farewell” soundtrack matching a lot Jinx-Silco story ❤️
Hands down the best tribute for Arcane I've ever watched. The events ordering couldn't be any perfect to show the character development of (Powder) to (Jinx and Powder) to (Jinx).
Damn, combining this emotional edit with "Dumbledore's Farewell" was brilliant. Hit right in the heart.
I know that people find these two's relationship to be heartwarming, but people need to understand that this is absolutely not a healthy relationship in any way shape or form. I know Powder says that it was Vi who made her into Jinx, and she had a part to play (though admittedly I think we can all say that if Marcus hadn't grabbed her things would have been very different,) but Silco is the one that paved the road that she went down to become Jinx. I do believe that he did love her and think of her as a daughter, but their relationship was still a toxic and self destructive one. If Silco hadn't manipulated and gaslighted Powder in the 10 years of the time skip, she would not have become the way that she is now. He spent all that time confirming all of the negative thoughts that Powder had and all of the self blame and all of the feelings of revenge, all so that he could turn her into a weapon that he could use to further his own goals. He projected his own hatred for Vander and his own abandonment issues onto Powder and made the abandonment issues that she had even more intense through all of that manipulation.
They aren't healthy, their relationship isn't cute or heartwarming. Silco. Was. Not. A. Good. Father.
Now, don't get me wrong, Silco isn't a badly written character. He's absolutely masterfully written. But he is a villain first and foremost, and he fills that role all the way up till the end. Please, _please_ don't act like their relationship was positive, because it absolutely is not.
I disagree. I could maybe understand this point of view if Jinx and Silco lived in our own world in a nice stable country we're watching the show from. But they don't. They live in a nightmarish dystopia where children have no futures and where rebellion is pretty much the only recourse.
And even then it wasn't that he molded her into a hateful weapon. He just enabled her genius engineering skills and willingness to fight, something she always had and that Vi and Vander did nothing to curb either. They let her build, carry around, and use nail bombs for god's sake, Vi even encouraged it because they live in a world where they see fighting is necessary.
@@supermonstars exactly people need to watch the show. It's was during my second watch that you can see how silco is protecting jinx from his people and enforcers.
Damn son. The edit to end all edits. My heart aches.
Best character tribute I've seen for Arcane. Amazing work.
3:43 those finger guns becoming the guns that kill Silco while the music plays, THIS EDIT IS ART
Haha... It seriously is just a fan edit? It could be a fucking trailer if i'm being honest
Oh Man.. that's great... that's PERFECTION! I cannot wait for season 2 of Arcane for Season 2 of Vi and Jinx (Powder). This Tribute is Awesome
Jinx only jinx powder no longer exist
