  • In this video I take an old, outdated ceiling fan and give it new life on a tight budget. With a little spray paint and come contact paper, it looks brand new! I LOVE the way it came out and it saved me so much money! It was a super simple DIY project that seriously anybody can do!

Outstanding! Do you use this fan alot? My only concern would be the contact paper coming off over time.

Thanks! It's in the guest room so its not used all the time. I also share the same concern so maybe I'll do an update to it in a year!

This looks nice. How has it held up though?

It has held up surprising well. It is in our guest room so its not used everyday but I do find that our guests use the fan almost always when they sleep in that room because we have issues with regulating our AC in the upstairs bedrooms and so far, so good! No peeling or anything! And we do have guests fairly often...!

Our move is in 6 days lol we changed to driving just wondering how you did it with a toddler our daughter just turned 3

Good luck with your move! We split it up over 3 days because my daughter is like me and doesn't like to be in the car for long periods. We also knew that every stop would be at least 30-45 minutes because getting her back into the car seat would be a struggle. We stayed at an AirBNB the first night, it was on a lake and had a bunch of stuff to do like toys for her, a firepit, a pool table etc. to keep us occupied. Then on the second night we stayed with family and the last day was just a few hours to our final destination. While it was a bit of a pain dragging it out, we tried to make it a little adventure and make the most out of it. We also had 2 small dogs in the car too :)
