i have the dragons and these. i skate to the park and run to the store on the dragons and i like to switch to the 99s for certain parks. got the 93a in 58mm and 56mm is the biggest i could find the 99s. im happy with both sets but if i had to pick i would keep the 93a. my picture to the left was taken 40 years ago so it helps to have a board that rides like a Rolls Royce (yeah they are all that)
Love that. “Switch Up” truly all wheels have good used depending on the situation and feel. Never tried a 58mm, i have the 56mm dragons originally and they were of good use for a while, Parks and street. Thank you for the input🤙🏼
Great review! Thanks for the insight.
🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Great video! I love the X-Formula 97A's and I thought the 99A's were going to be too hard after skating the 97A's for the last year or so but I must say I love the 99A's for skateparks! I still use the 97A's or Dragons for rougher spots but the 99A is my main wheel right now. Great to see you skate Flight decks and ACE AF1 Hollows. I skate both as well, also with the Hard bushings in the AF1's 😅 Never tried that 8.5" 244 Flight shape but I will try that one sooner or later ☺ Do you use the 55 or 60 AF1's on that deck? I personally like the 60's more with an 8.5" deck
Thank you🤙🏼 I am skating Af1 55s really depends on the base. Some switch out the base on the truck. I also was going to go with the 60 but this was available and just fit the size.
Nice bro this was really helpful; I can’t wait for my set to come in the mail 🥳
Thanks Alex. After riding them they have broken in firmly. 1 month review in coming. Please to say very soon.
Cheers for the review. The interesting point for these would be how they compare to other 99A wheels. Most notably their Bones STF counterparts but also Spitfire’s Formula Fours.
I skated the STFs early on right when they dropped got the 52s but the street spots ate up the wheels. I did not flat spots but i got chips throughout 2 of my wheels. Solid wheel though and of course formula 4s a direct go to. Still have my formula 4s ready to skate with boneswiss.
@@MickHopper but how would you compare those to the X-Formulas?
@@RikRiorik different feeling when skating. I have summed xformula to stf was the stf(street tech formula) you got a definite more feeling to the ground you skate on, meaning when the ground is rocky, or bumpy, you feel everything especially them being 99a i had the greenwood version. The xformula cushions everything alot more 97⬆️ and the 99s but its a harder wheel. Dragon wheels cushion way more but dragons give an almost longboard wheel feeling. Now onto formula 4s which depending on how you skate i notice have a higher tolerance to abrasions meaning chips or even flat spots but its a different feeling when skating the bones wheel. Especially powell peralta dragons. 🐉
@@MickHopper cheers bud for the more in depth feedback! I also had STF Greenwood 99As.
