- A far-right Norwegian man was jailed for 21 years on Thursday for the racially motivated murder of his Chinese-born stepsister and attempting to kill worshippers in a mosque shooting spree.

Wow...I caught that last part about not being released in 21 years if he is still deemed a threat, but that fool shouldn’t even be given that gift of hope. he will be 43 years old and have the chance to have a long life of freedom that he took away from his sister. That is just unacceptable. I am a fan of rehabilitation and getting people integrated back into society, including for brainwashed idiots, but I draw the line at murder. If there is indisputable evidence they are guilty of murder (not in self defense) then AT BEST they should get guaranteed life in prison with no chance of being released early. Full accountability for your actions is not a bad thing.
The upper limit of any sentence here in Norway is 21 years, however once this sentence is about to run out he will be evaluated if he's "fit to come back to society" or if he's still a dangerous individual. This is exactly the same sentence as the other terrorist in Norway, Bering Breivik, recieved for his acts which killed around 80 youths at a camp hosted by a political party and bombed one of the main government buildings in the capitol city, Oslo.
These people will, hopefully, never see freedom in their lives again. It's 21 years now but that could easily be extended indefinitely if their situation hasn't changed, which it most likely won't.

These guy's also get to live better in Scandinavia prison than a large portion of the world. They are to pathetic on these scum giving them basically apartments, play station, gym, college and some murderous guys get to actually leave then come back. It's a better life than these sickos would be able to accomplish.

Jeremy Byington He will not be among other prisoners so his looks won’t be an advantage nor disadvantage. There is no overcrowding or safety issues in Norwegian prisons.
He doesn't have such features, he's got two black eyes and very swollen lips due to the fight. That together with his thin and long figure make him have the resemblance of some models in the 80s that looked extremely malnourished, drugged, with that groofty look.

People always say, “you know how they do it in Norway you know how they do it here you know how they do it there…” , but you all the people who are in a piss over the 21 years, Norway has a rehab judicial system, not a punishment and free labor judicial system like we have in the US. If you're still viewed as a threat to society after those 21 years, you'll get another sentence. While there's not an actual "life in jail" sentence, you can be kept in jail your whole life
