I’m a 12.7 handicap player and I did a little test today as I use the 21 TP5x with my 7 iron and PW and with the PW,with the new ball I was getting 5 metres more carry distance and 3 metres more total over the old version and with the 7 iron it was only 1 metre for both total and carry but that was at the end of my testing as I was getting distances on my long clubs so if I did this at the start, the gains on the 7 iron would most likely be more,I am going to use it in my game on Saturday and see how it goes but as I’m in Australia, the price difference is between $25-$30AUD between the balls so I’d have to take that into consideration aswell
Pretty sure the tours should tell the USGA and the R&A to go pound sand on this proposed rollback..what are they going to do, make them use a shorter ball for the US Open and the Open championship?? Not likely..
4 years is not around the corner.. lol. If they aren't releasing new products every year, they are losing money. They aren't just going sit idly for 4 years and not release products.
I would have to guess less spin. That would explain why they don't show you all the numbers and why they are having a player use irons to hit and show the distance increase instead of a driver. I messaged TM asking for compression numbers and they said they haven't released them. MYspy golf said compression is similar to previous model
@@ZacFries yep sounds right just a bs sell tactic without the basic numbers bs, launch angle the distance show means nothing as you know nothing about the factors influencing it.
I can only say for myself that I find the 1/2 club longer not true, buy the way all clubs in my bag ate TaylorMade. Does the new version feel better than the last, I will say for sure it is. I have used TP5x for the last 2 years. Example, I hit my 8 iron right at 160 yards plus or minus a couple yards, using the 2024 TP5x for the last 2 rounds, my 8 iron is still right at 160 yards. I honestly found no distance difference really with any club in the bag. Will I still continue to use TP5x, yes I will, but the added $5 a dozen makes it a tough choice considering I can buy Bridgestone Tour BX for over $10 cheaper and still get the same performance as the new ball
I pulled out a 15 year old Nike ball and hit it 20 yards further than a 2023 Titleist Pro V1.... I guess that makes the Nike the better ball according to TaylorMade.
Tf is that thumbnail good lord
😂
Kind of cool that Taylor made working with a Cobra sponsored athlete
Rickie is a TM sponsored golfball athlete

Better front to back dispersion on 2021?
Why increase distance on golf balls with the roll back around the corner?
Thats what im thinking
Maybe they are going to abbolish it
They should - nobody wants it
Good point.
Tbh that’s a bs move by the USGA

Is the TP5 longer or just the X version?
The X is longer
Depends how fast you swing x is made for faster swings
Trottie is the best!, he should be in all of TaylorMade videos makes me want to buy everything
Is it spinning less? Launching higher? More ball speed? Why not show us the TM numbers?

So it's the 2021 ball....not 2023 ball. How many are playing the 21 ball in 2024? Not many I'd imagine.
I’m sure if most people could hit their irons out of the middle they would see 7-10 with their current ball
I use whatever balls people lose in the woods…a lot of proV1’s in there
Didnt know he was allowed ot do this being a cobra player
He is a TM staff as well.
Since Cobra doesn’t make a golf ball TM gladly has Rickie on their staff. Surprised Tiger isn’t on board with the ball yet too.
@@Tom-ok2rhtiger will never leave Bridgestone golf imagine
So if you want consistent results don’t buy the new one. Why did you do that to yourself TM :/?
What happened to the golf ball legal breakdown??? Lol companies gonna go bazerk and have the balls going 350 carry before the laws catch up 🤣🤣
55 bucks a dozen 🤕
9 yards further… it’s spinning less obviously.
So god damn stupid. Mention the spin numbers 🤡
too bad this will be worthless in a few years when the ball gets rolled back
Yeah, ill be purchasing Dozens of these balls just before the roll back . Marketing 101
