They could've easily placed a large HEPA filter instead two small brick size ones. All for the sake of marketing strategy, they even got rid of a washable pre-filter.
Why did Honeywell make that top back rim clear plastic? It won't affect the air cleaner performance. I just find it aesthetically like a raised nail. It sticks out to my eye, lol! They should have left it matching black. I have an earlier model that looks and functions identical to this one except that rim around the back top is a uniform black. Ha! I can't sleep unless this thing is running on high. It's sleep inducing sound. Suggestions? Vacuum the carbon dust filters between changing them. Just keeps it cleaner.

Yes this honeywell unit will definitely help with the alergies u dont want an ionizer on when your in the room but ions is good when your out of the room

The HONEYWELL INSIGHT MACHINES should use pure pads filled with 100% charcoal carbon instead of those plain charcoal pre-filter pads in conjunction with the HEPA FILTERS... I can assure you that HEPA FILTERS are better than ODIONE filter air purifier systems overall as well!!! Yes I realize ODIONE systems can actually sometimes be more expensive then regular HEPA home purification systems and vary depending on the make and model and whether it be for general household use or commercial use they must be used with more caution! They are definitely a good investment as well and are beneficial and do work but they should never be overused as they can actually cause permeant damage too your upper respiratory tract resiliency and overall health over time and actually make your immune system weaker so use only as needed 👍😎👍
the S filter which is sold separately for this model, can be purchased and added in as the 3rd optional filter to remove voc. be sure you are using charcoal activated filter and buy it additionally if you plan to get one of these models
Unfortunately they are not washable. But what we did on ours when the light turned on for the 1st time was vacuumed the dirt on it. But we are ready to replace it again once light turns on again.

However many HEPA filters your unit takes is however many S filters it takes, if your unit takes three HEPA filters, then yes, it takes three S filters
@@EphesianRose it is expensive… but worth it. My unit takes too, so I feel you, but I feel it is very worth it, it made a huge difference as far as smells and air quality goes.

the optional S filter is sold separately. Its charcoal activated, and removed a lot more voc from the air.
Seeing the filters, I find it refreshing how Honeywell bases their entire air purifier line on a single size of HEPA filter for these shorter models.

Hi, is this a rewashable filter or do you have to get new ones when they’re dirty?
The instructions that came with mine stated that the filters were NOT washable.
Unfortunately they are not washable. But what we did on ours when the light turned on for the 1st time was vacuumed the dirt on it. But we are ready to replace it again once light turns on again.
