First time I’ve seen this in a proper competition format and I’m really impressed with the production quality. Best of luck growing the sport all the fans I’ve seen commenting on here
I’ve always thought Doss got too much hate, but anyone that can’t see how much he has taken feedback to heart and really improved is covering their eyes. Today he was one of the best they’ve had in the booth. Really hoping to see more of Nate Doss and Terry in the booth!
I thought so as well, he did start to talk a little too much once he got excited towards the end. In general though this was some of the best commentary I've heard. Im not even usually one of those that care much about it and even I noticed the difference.
Maybe part of it was the phenomenal drama of the round, but idk I think I agree with you. Today's commentary just felt right and fitting. I love Ian and Philo too, but their style feels more fun and thus more fitting for Silver Series-like events, while Terry and Nate fits the elite series better. I also love Charlie and Brian haha. Charlie and Brian might even be my favorite to be honest.
I do like his coverage more. However, sometimes he gives color where it’s not warranted. He said mcbeth “got too fancy” on an errant shot and it felt like a judgement call.
@@jcrow62 I can agree that the statement was likely not correct, but thats a pretty specific moment of criticism. But last week, you could pretty much pick every other thing that came out of Philo or Ian’s mouth and criticize it. I can agree that there were a few things through out the weekend that I didn’t think Doss nailed, but on the whole the guy was excellent! IMO
NATE is doing GREAT on commentary... they are very different but while Sextons natural style translated quicker Doss has honed his live coverage commentary craft just like his beer (I hear) and his golf and as of this coverage I appreciate them equally and am so impressed with the sound of both the live and post narrations from Beltons final day
I'm not as bold to say 2 in a row, but this is going to be huge for his confidence. Loved the emotion too. Could really hear how relieving and satisfying this was for him.
Right? Seeing that emotion from Calvin and now knowing how much it means to him changes how I see him as a competitor. I hope this is the beginning of something special for this guy in 2022.
That bounce off the box for Paul makes me think take away boxes and just leave a poll and I say pad the poll. Advertisement can make play harder and easier😅 Make a padded cylinder that can also post brands!
So I don’t watch this stuff live a lot of times, but what’s the deal with the guy that PM is chatting with after the bounce off the pin on hole 5? He seems to be a PDGA official based on what he’s wearing, but it also seems like he might just be Paul’s caddy.
@@paul-michaelvincent7123 Ah! I was wondering if it was something like that. I noticed Paul continued talking to him for the next 3 or 4 holes and then he basically followed Paul around the rest of the tournament.
If it’s a non arm injury that your concerned you can worsen then I can see withdrawing. If not I say play threw even if you need to switch arms. Be humble and patient and persevere
Paul getting on tilt after 5 is a perfect example of why I dislike him as a player. Whines about everything and getting an official involved in trying to get different rules on 5?!? No thanks. Wouldn’t want to play with that guy
@@micahlong4142 TBF when you're talking about GOATs of a sport they're always a little bit infuriating because they want to win so bad that they will argue anything Tom Brady does it Lebron James does it many other great players in sports do it as well
If any man could have pulled that playoff shot off is Paul! I GUARANTEE 100% of the time if you switched those shots and put Paul 2ft away and Calvin where Paul was.... Calvin is missing that 100% EVERYONE EXCEPT MAYBE RICKY IS MISSING THAT SHOT. But hey Paul parked that hole at the start of the round and Paul ended up where Calvin was... maybe if Calvin went first it would have been different. But that's the beauty of this sport
@David Montgomery i get that. But I was more eluding to it's a playoff sp nerves are up and sometimes being able to go second lets you get a read and can calm the nerves down. Imagine what Calvin would be feeling if Paul had done the same shot as he did at the beginning of the round??? Calvin would have been feeling huge nerves and maybe Calvin makes a mistake. So seeing Paul miss left probably calmed Calvin down a lot
@David Montgomery but I'm not talking 18. And there's a big difference between the last hole and the first playoff hole. Your nerve rise a lot more in the playoff. I know because I played football and we tied forcing overtime and getting the tie was nothing like the nerves both teams fought in overtime
@David Montgomery no, Calvin literally almost hit people standing in the absolute perfect landing zone right next to the 250 foot marker, right in the fairway. They just couldn’t fathom someone actually throwing that far or perfect
@David Montgomery I’m reading it, and your first comment clearly still says “they’re standing in an out of bounds area, no one is trying to land there.” You never corrected or edited your comment and there are no subsequent comments other than the two comments you replied to me lol. See how mine is edited? That is how it looks to correct your statement
Oh the DRAMA.... ...Nate's over-dramatizing of "not-so-dramatic" occurrences (example:Buhr's out of bounds tee-off on 14) is very off-putting. This ain't WWE...
I am enjoying seeing different guys from different groups!!!!
Thank you 👍
Great final round and tournament - Congratulations Calvin! Loved having Nate Perkins comments on the course.
Thank you for the great coverage!

What a battle. What a tournament. Couldn't believe all the shots everyone was making. One to remember.

It was really good to see Alden play so composed and smooth. He played a great game this week
Nate gave the best commentary I’ve ever seen on DGN. Very cool to see how much he’s improved!

Zack Melton would be the best caddie of all time.
Calvin showed the most emotion to date in that first post win interview question. Watch out folks... 2 in a row for sure
Thanks Dgn, dgpt, jvd, np, TM, and ND. Great job
@David Montgomery Momentum + low golf lines + Nate Doss quote "one of the best at overstable discs on a power line"
I'm not as bold to say 2 in a row, but this is going to be huge for his confidence. Loved the emotion too. Could really hear how relieving and satisfying this was for him.

Nate: Terry, anybody, in the world, can not do this, Calvin Heimburg is one of the best at over stable discs on a power line. 😂😂💯🤙🏽
Finally Calvin congrats
2:24:26 if anyone wants to see @simonlizotte fall. 🤣
LETS GO ALDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@3:16:40 camera man's reaction
I mean that was almost a 600 foot shot through the tunnel by Calvin, no way anyone expected one to make it that far without hitting anything
Lmao came here to post this

Nothing says PROFESSIONAL like a Taquito Town on the 1st tee.
And one quick question……why manicure the course? If you land in a bad spot, you just pick it up anyway. No such thing as a bad lie out of the rough.
Nate Perkins pulled a Nardwuar on Calvin by keeping the mic to his face after the interview was over “doot doola doot doot…”
Great tourney
3:16:40. camera man after Calvin's tee shot on 18.
Why isn’t philo doing commentary anymore? I mean for real… he’s the best period.
Guess the guy who designed the advertising barrel just got fired.
lets go
2:52:07 Paul smiles at Alden after he OBed haha
LETS GO CALVIN!!!!
why was kristin tattar in that prodigy commercial?
is youtube taking people from 2018 R3 Jonesboro to the 2022 final round Jonesboro?? keeps happening the auto play skips around years
11:10 Did he say Kevin Heimburg ?
Macbeth time
Zack Melton would be the best caddie of all time.. 2:24:26 if anyone wants to see @simonlizotte fall. .
What green hat with the heart is he wearing?
Mcbeth
Congrats to Calvin, but I’ve always hated the black trash can looking ad “things” under the baskets, that can destroy a good shot.

It was an official. Paul was trying to get the td in trouble for how the rules were setup for hole 5.
@@paul-michaelvincent7123 Ah! I was wondering if it was something like that. I noticed Paul continued talking to him for the next 3 or 4 holes and then he basically followed Paul around the rest of the tournament.

It's not really helpful to include someone who is 5 holes ahead in the list of leaders!
Having hard boxes that your disc can bounce off of penalizes on line low shots. I say you are promoting lay ups and not hole in ones with hard boxes.
frisbee golf is a joke
