And when there is no rain what purpose would the well /borehole serve when it runs dry. Both trees and water are truly important.

Safe borehole water should be from 80 metres onwards
You take borehole water sample for lab tests - results will indicate levels of all important parameters (chemicals and other stuff). If there any issues of concern they will advise how to deal with them

@rosieYDH first seek advice from laboratories where u do tests, then water-purification companies will offer solutions to minimise or eliminate any impurities in borehole water. Reverse osmosis, in-line chlorination, etc. Thereafter it will be operation, maintenance. DaviesShirtliff is major player around the world, but there new players from China, Middle East too
