I'm not familiar with ur channel at all, so hi new here. But I saw you played twilight princess recently, you could def try the legend of zelda series, if you see you have enough engagement around it. Or if you really wanna branch out and be crazy with it you could do the fire emblem series. I've only seen one other content creator do a fire emblem gauntlet and it was with other creators collabing to maximize time. But eh, you may be don't wanna do that for a series you haven't played yet, lol. Maybe don't take my advice 💀 The side games of pokemon are cool too though, I'm just not sure what their playtimes look like though, and there are a ton of them so um maybe go for it? Or maybe don't and just try a month long run of every mainline game (you should def include legends arceus this time around tho lol).
Those expected completion times are crazy. I recently completed Sword (with both DLCs) in 13 hours. Completed Scarlet (& Kitikami) in 12 hours. I imagine they're average times.
Yes they are average times according to people who submitted their times. I had no idea how quick I was going to be able to do any of them so thought it was a good place to look
@@ItsRJ_YTI wonder how well trying to get through all the Mystery Dungeon games would go! There's not many games in that series but I think doing them all quickly might be a nice challenge
@@ItsRJ_YT It got me the first time i played gen 4 myself. My first game was pokemon Crystal but i was still young when gen 4 started in 2007. I was 10 then.
classic Pokemon is wild for how bad the plot direction can be sometimes, it was holding on to that 'lol figure it out' spirit of JRPGs long after JRPGs had mostly become more user friendly. Scarlet and Violet kinda feels like a partial return to that, lmao. without a level cap guide you're so lost at what to do next other than vaguely going north on both sides.
The lv 100 torterra story reminds me of when either my first play through of silver (GBC) when I couldn't find the HM for waterfall, and so I went everywhere trying to find it and found lugia by mistake, or also in silver when I couldn't figure out how to evolve my gloom into bellosom, and leveled it upto lv 100 as a gloom before I realized its via stone.
Fun fact! In SM/USUM the Pokémon called by the totem depends on the HP percentage the Totem has at the end of the turn it will call an ally, so this is the reason it called Trumbeak instead of Castform that one time
So proud of you dude, this was such a sick event to be apart off and the end result was amazing!! i'd love to see you do this with every sonic console game!
23:38 I remember criticizing the fans who criticizing these decicions from Pokemon. I love it to have new things. If I want all the old stuff, I play the old games.
Huge congrats for your challenge, it's really impressive to see someone doing that when you don't know the fastest strategies. Also as a speedrunner who is grinding for the gen 1-8 glitchless in a row run (aka octofecta) , I can tell you that you almost chose every single worst game and sometimes not the best pokémon for each generation and that's more impressive to watch you struggling on some "easy" fights. GG again (+ i'm on tv at 6:50 poggers)
While not super long in comparison, it would be wild to see 100% splatoon series, especially if you've never played them before. Splatoon 2 in particular is a grind and a half. While I don't think this would take a week.... doesn't mean it'd be a cakewalk.
And then they got rid of them 😭 terrastalizing and vmax/gmax is lame… but megas were actually cool. I get it sucks cuz only some can do it but it was way cooler. They should have just kept that and added a handful of megas each generation…. :(
Nah, Megas in concept are good but the way they did it just makes them shit... I'm really surprised you didn't take any speedrun pointers to try and complete the games faster. Almost all main line games can be completed under 5 hrs w the right understanding of the games and a bit of prep and guide reading. Also the choice to not do just *only* the "definitive" editions like platinum and emerald, (instead of platinum and ruby) was also interesting. In terms of speed, they aren't usually faster or slower than their counterparts but imo they r usually better. But I guess I just look at them with more fondness. So I'm probably just biased tbf... Hi, as a SWSH player, would highly recommend using Galarian Zigzagoon if you do these sorts of challenges in future. Has a very versatile moveset with TM's and TR's including Ice Beam with a fairly high bst, it's literally 'that one early game I hate Raihan button'
RJ: 17:05 Pokemon Platinum, gen 4 was my first generation and I love this game even with all it's flaws Also RJ: 31:24 I can not fathom why Gen wunners love this game so much I think you can fathom it. Just give it a little ponder.
It would be cool to see doing the entire franchise including alternate versions. It might be fun to do a casual playthrough for some and a semi-speedrun strat for others. Not to try for word record or anything but I'm sure as long as you use relatively safe strategies, even just generally following a speedrun guide would be faster than just "rushed casual" play for a lot of the games.
Honestly, just play the first gen or 2 with a sped up emulator. Anything up to 4x is generally doable in those games with still clean enough play. Beyond that things tend to get out of hand, but it makes the excruciatingly slow sections, like the rocket spin puzzles, much easier to not hate. Then you can enjoy the jank without being annoyed by how slow the games are. Plus they're short. Makes this challenge much more possible to play the games sped up, but also can improve the overall experience for the slower ones. Good job on completing this. Lord knows I never would. I'm at 25 hours in Crystal with 7 badges right now on my 3DS. Granted, I spent the past 10 hours just getting more apricot balls and grinding for phone calls for evolution stones from the 4 people who have a chance of calling you and giving those, as well as trying to thief a kings rock off of slowpoke. I still haven't gotten 1, but I know they're a held item by them with a low chance, so I keep trying. I guess I'll probably just use Politoad and no Slowking this time, despite those being 2 gen 2 Pokemon I've always wanted to use. I think I can still trade with my wife's system locally using the 3DS, even though the wifi is out. Hopefully it'll work. If not, wasted a lot of time on that King's Rock hunting for nothing
I could have done that in an afternoon while blindfolded and my arms tied behind my back while also including all the extra games and doing all of them as a nuzlocke
Great job man this was a sick journey I’m really proud of you this was an amazing journey I still have vivid memories of watching this stream Congrats, from Samuel Love from Italy 🇮🇹
This is a fun challenge and it does feel liberating not needing to calculate every single turn in every battle and worrying about losing a pokemon. On the other hand you could have done the speedrun strat for SWSH where you go to the crown tundra at tmyour first chance possible and nab the DA tutorial suicune and sweep the game with it. It has a 100% catch rate and you use rental pokemon so it is easily doable
That's (qwak)ing insane. I saw your videos on Mario and Sonic and Kirby runs and saw you struggle them, but this is insane considering POKEMON IS AN RPG SERIES AND RPGS CANNOT BE DONE FAST. Great job. It should inspire me to get back to work on my transfer project.
Over leveling in Platinum bc I didn’t know how to get to Sunny Shore city is so relatable, same happened to me but with a level 80 Empoleon until I discovered RUclips in 2009
Nah I don't agree I think Triple and Rotation were intended as new formats that could become new competitive formats, couple that with the lack of major bosses and story importance that megas, z moves, dynamax etc all have
If yall wanna get that pedantic, every generation has introduced something that significantly changed the game: Gen 2 added Shinies and the Dark and Steel Types, Gen 3 added Abilities and Double Battles (and some additional breeding mechanics in Emerald), Gen 4 had the Physical/Special split, Gen 5 had Triple and Rotation Battles, Gen 6 had Mega Evolution and Inverse Battles, Gen 7 had Z-Moves, Gen 8 had Dynamax, and Gen 9 had Terastilization.
B/W did start the Gimmick Trend (although via an obscure gimmick no one knows about) B/W has the Wonder Launcher gimmick which can increases stats and stuff during battles
I play the pokemon games very casually, reading the story, picking my favourite pokemon from the region and having them on my team until the elite four, ultra sun took me like almost 28 hours, White took me like 40 hours (like 12 hours worth of grinding because i was so underleveled for elite four)
That was pretty awesome. Just one short of all the mainline games though. You forgot Legends Arceus. It’s officially a main series game unlike Coliseum and XD.
I loved the video! Only thing I will say is I actually really enjoy pokemon Shield. Now my favourite game is still heart gold then pokemon platinum. But with that said I think that is more nostalgia talking than anything else.
In Pokémon Shield, as soon as you get to the wild area, you can get the pokemon box wireless access thing from Sonya and you can head straight to the Crown Tundra to bag a Suicune and sweep most of the game with it.

Saying this before watching, you can indeed, through the use of glitches in the first ones easy wins are available but the time is still decently simple to beat UNLESS non main series games are added into the mix, but as I see it I’ve beaten every single Pokemon game while overlevelled each with around 12-16 hours except Sun and moon(to many cutscenes) but that doesn’t leave time for sleep, so staying up for 7 days although UNBELIEVABLY hard, is do-able
Will never understand how people can have gripes with Sword/Shield and Scarlet/Violet. Both games are phenomenally fun and I've racked up many, many, many hundreds of hours on both. Currently replaying Shield for a 4th time and can't stop playing. Also planning a 2nd playthrough of Violet afterwards. Not to mention that Gloria and Juliana are *the* cutest pokégirls in the entire series. 🥰
Theoretically if you go at world record pace you can finish every game in 62 hours. You have 168 hours in a week, lets say you sleep 8 hours a night, that leaves you with 112 hours awake. You would still have a lot of time to spare. I added up every glitchless world record speedrun for Yellow, Crystal, Emeralnd, Fire Red, Platinum, SoulSilver, Black, Black 2, X, Omega Ruby, Sun, Ultra Sun, Sword, Brilliant Diamond, Scarlet and Legends Arceus. You could probably even do the spin-offs in the spare time tbh (if you would be going at world record pace, which I know its impossible but it was fun to calculate)
I think the reason why sentiment seemingly has changed about gen 5 is because it was always a popular game in reality. This was a time when the older fans in the series that were around since the beginning still had a disporpotionate amount of speaking power. Younger kids who enjoyed the games were to young to be on the internet engaging in the larger community.
Nicely done with time to spare i recommend you play some of the spin off games they're a lit of fun pokemon conquest especially with a MASSIVE amount of content give it a shot see how ya like it
i feel like the obvious answer would be to grind out other games during cutscenes to save time lol. especially with sun and moon. i love those games myself, but the cutscenes are definitely pretty long.
I think this challenge would be even more do-able if you kind of play a few games at a same time (like swapping back and forth between Red & Gold during one playthrough, or between Ruby & Diamond, etc.)
The stair guy that stop you for the electricity peoblem is a canon event for everyone to get their favourite pokemon at level 100 in pokemon diamond, pearl or platinum
Should i attempt to beat all the side games next? Or what other game franchise should i try? Thanks for watching :)

Personally I consider defeating Red as the end and the league as a middle point in Gen 2. But that is just me lol
Just subbed. Impressive to do this! Also a fellow Australian!
15:40 I feel that so much... ^^ Yea I always need long to fall asleep, but if I have to get up early, I need 3 times as long...
Well this is really crazy pls keep going with what you doing you have my full support
Haven't even finished Platinum after 1 week lol, had to train inside different caves before the 2nd and 6th gym badges
I NAMED THE TOTODILE (GATORADE)
Can't believe bro really skipped fighting Red in gen 2
Ngl, love the Pokémon trainer 7 day transition in the thumbnail. Trans rights W
That was hella entertaining, keep it up
I think this challenge would be even more do-able if you kind of play a few games at a same time (like swapping back and forth between Red & Gold during one playthrough, or between Ruby & Diamond, etc.)
The stair guy that stop you for the electricity peoblem is a canon event for everyone to get their favourite pokemon at level 100 in pokemon diamond, pearl or platinum
