I love this band, I’ve heard every song they’ve made multiple times, some a stupidly large amount… and for most songs I don’t know or care what the lyrics are. That’s not saying the lyrics are bad, Miku is an excellent poet, but, for me, vocals are just another instrument. Even in English I rarely pay attention to lyrics, that’s just how my brain works
I'm kinda like that too. It takes me forever to get lyrics, even in English. I'm just focused on the sounds too. You worded it perfectly. It's like listening to another instrument. Thank you!
Music elevates us above the subjective partialities of political idealism. BAND-MAID gets us onto the upper plane. Thank you for your reaction and your appreciation of the amazing quintuplet. PEACE. p.s. Your cinematic view, as a professional, helped me appreciate this video even more.
I agree completely that music and art in general can elevate us above the noise of the world, and I'm glad my little reaction video helped you appreciate the video more. That's really cool, and really cool of you to say. Thank you.
They just released a new album that dropped on the 25th. They also let us know that they have formed a new management company called "Maidit" and they will have total control
What @Tlanlmass said below "RINNE"...since your a videographer you'll enjoy that one. There's a few cool stories behind it and you'll be enlightened by the "Maidiacs" afterwards.....trust me. It's an older song but even their older songs are still relevant today as much as the new ones. "DICE" and "Manners" are two other really well shot music videos....."Manners" is my favorite.
Great reaction. It’s a killer track and I agree the audio and video is top notch. Next maybe “From Now On” or if you want a little slower tempo “Daydreaming” both are official music videos on their channel
Flames are often used in Band-Maid's music videos, but these flames are not CG, they are all real burning flames. Furthermore, Saiki's sigh at the end of this MV is not a staged performance, but a genuine sigh of relief from Saiki after he finishes singing.
Enjoyed the reaction…the MV is not a complexed one but a straight forward featuring the band. Most of their MVs feature the band and always live concert ones have great mixing there are few exceptions but still good. Keep reacting…try “Don’t you tell me” live from Yokohama arena for a great bass and guitar call and response! 🤘🕊️🦍🥷👸🏻👀PO!
Love this song and Band-Maid! They do kill the ballads as well, very emotional, worth checking out. Thanks for the reaction and I enjoyed your perspectives... looking forward to the next one, I subscribed for more! :)
Thanks so much for the love and the sub. I just had a few recommendations, and one was a "slower tempo", so I'm assuming that may be more of a ballad. Really interested to see what they do with something like that. No doubt they kill it.
Glad you noticed the videography. I think all their music videos are excellent. Well thought out and executed. For an interesting contrast, do the MV and the BTS video of their most colorful work, Gion-cho. The MV is on their RUclips page. The BTS is floating around on the net, and relatively easy to find. As for this MV, it was shot in a bare room, essentially the equivalent of a sound stage. There is a BTS video for Shambles as well.
If you like cinematic side...a request for you 😊They have a side project:Band Maiko the song Secret Maiko lips. The official MV I think just simple art 😉 Enjoy
They just pulled out of their production company and set up their own so they have now taken total independent control of their future. If you haven't seen HATE? live from Yokohama Arena yet watch it and you really get to hear some bass. Another great one for that is NO GOD live. Either of those will blow you out of your socks. Best rock band on the planet.
HATE? was my introduction to them. Absolutely blew me away and I even mention the bass specifically in that one too. It's on my channel if you wanna check out my reaction to it. Been enjoying them ever since checking that one out.
Yes, Shambles is the Akane show with special guest stars Kanami, MISA, Saiki and Miku. But wait! Was it really the Kanami show, because she wrote the song and played it with such forcefulness and exquisite abandon. Or was it the MISA show because without MISA, the rapturous drive of the song would be a ride on four flat tires. Or was it the Saiki show because she focused the sonic chaos into a song with melodies that could express Miku's lyrics like no other singer could. Without Saiki, Shambles might sound like a familiar instrumental. Or was it the Miku show because, damn, she wrote the lyrics, played the important rhythm parts, and added her unique brand of backup vocals that have become a defining "sixth instrument" of Band-Maid. So exactly whose show was it? It was the Maid's show, as usual! 🤘🎀🤘 Thx, Mayhem!
I would say the live version of Endless Story close captions is a must. You will figure out why right away. I have been listening to Band Maid since November 2019 and I still don't know alot of the words. I will take the time in the future, but I am enjoying just listening for now. I would get some more reactions done before reacting to Endless Story though.
lol, keep at it Mate! One of these days one of these reactors will bite and watch 'You'! It is a great song. Suggest it to a first time B-M reactor. You can become a Carrier Pigeon. :D
Alright new best friend, I see you in these comments. I feel like you know what I like. I was actually just given an 8mm camera and projector and want to shoot something on it badly. This one is 100% going on the list. Thank you!
Great reaction and the drummer, Akane, loves her rolls, she bought out the whole bakery for this song. As for recommendations, just pick any MV from their site, you wouldn't be disappointed.
Truly, my dear, when someone talks too much, he ends up saying meaningless nonsense. These girls have more than ten years of experience in recording studios and have worked with producers such as Tony Visconti or Mike Shinoda. They have also filmed almost thirty-five MVs and six live gigs.😉
I hope I didn't end up saying too much meaningless nonsense, and I certainly hope I didn't take anything away from their amazing song or music video. Thanks for watching!
There's a new album?! First, thanks for the sub, and I'm glad you enjoyed the reaction. Second, again... there's a new album?! Yep... definitely looks like I"m about to go on a marathon with this band. LOL!
I will help you here. Band Maid doesn't play a genre, Band Maid IS a genre. Pop, punk, prog, rock, hard Rock, metal. They wrap all this into the controlled Chaos that is Band Maid.
They have a side project/group? Are you serious? You just unlocked a whole new adventure for me, I think. Thanks for the suggestion, and thanks for enlightening me on how much more there is out there from them.
You mentioned towards the end about a "Slow song" ... "Daydreaming" MV is one of their best. Then again there's at least 60 more of their songs that you would put in your top 5. You said you "LOVE LOVE MUSIC" then kick back an listen to 5 of the best, at what they do. New subby from Aust.
I haven't seen many reactions from a cinematographer's point of view, so this is unique and nice. Please give us your reactions to ONE OK ROCK, which is special for both music videos and live footage.
Sounds like a plan. From all the suggestions on this one, I may be about to go on a Band-Maid marathon. LOL. No complaints though. Loving everything from them so far.
Miku anchors the band. When the band started she didn't know how to play guitar. Something was missing their older music that was difficult to put your finger on. When Miku started playing well enough to fill in the rhythm that's when the band's songs started to sound as full as it is today. Kanami could focus on lead guitar and Misa was free to work on more complicated bass lines. She's also the main spokespigeon for interviews.
What about some new bands: Gacharic Spin (I wish I), East of Eden(This moment) and Lovebites(Soldier Stands Solitarily) are worth to listen. Have a try. Get
Sweet. My daughter's introduced me to some Kpop groups she likes and I introduced her to the Maids. The one I showed her was also from an anime if I remember folks' comments in the section. She thought that was cool, as she's a fan of anime. I'm loving all of this, and it's a new way to bond with my little girl, so y'all keep 'em coming!
@@mymorningmayhem Nice , these are BAND-MAID`s anime songs , Glory for Yu-Gi-oh variens , Different for Log Horizon , Sense for Platinum End , lead guitarist Kanami also composed the orchestral opening , Protect You for Grendizer U .
Funnily enough, I haven't heard a Nihongo curse word yet. I'm actually curious now. The worst one I've heard is "Baka" but I don't think it's considered a curse word.
Boss what we doing for video , grab the maids , their gear , find an abandoned building n bring the pyro guys, that even safe boss , probably not but we do it all the time po!
And whats amazing is they literally do not miss a beat when you see them LIVE.....These girls are absolutely incredible !!!!!
I've watched that one live performance so far and that was actually my intro to them. Blown away. They are indeed awesome.

Love, love, love Band Maid... I have always liked their song "Play" Official Live...
Thanks for reacting to the greatest rock band on the planet. As for the lyrics... Just enjoy the great vocals and amazing musicianship.

Band Maid's engineer has always built a wonderful sound stage with the recording. As far as I know Band Maid has full artist control of their music.
They just released a new album that dropped on the 25th. They also let us know that they have formed a new management company called "Maidit" and they will have total control

MISA, the barefoot assassin on bass.

This is one song where I actually thought Kanami's solo was too short for the first time ever.
I also would've been down for a little more. It was fire!
