Not every bell focused ride is a Reynolds prototype. This one seems like it’s based off the Polyphonic ride which is also 21” with a 6” bell, just heavier, drier, and with a brilliant finish.
@@SteezusChrist__ agreed! I think people make that connection is because Craig was so upfront about desinging the "crashable bell focused ride", as in Polyphonic Ride on steroids whereas this seems more like Serpents Ride on steroids
I really do love and use Meinl, but man, they CANNOT make a ride with a good bell. I own 4x of their rides, tested another 12x ish! Test it against literally any Sabian or Zildjian and you won't need to argue with me
Nice to see Tom demoing his own product. Love that bell design.
I wish this was darker in sound
just wondering if that bell is going to cut thru loud guitars. sounds low and quiet even when he's playing by himself.
It's an issue I have with Meinl rides in general and I never see this mentioned. Amazing cymbals, but the bell on their rides are lacking
Will he be using these on the road with Primus next year?
Have been searching for a new ride.
Sounds a lot like my Sabian HH Rock ride...
This was the concept you were working on with Craig Reynolds before he left because you didn’t want to bring it out wasn’t it?
Lol I was thinking the same thing, though this seems like a slightly heavier version
Ooh, definately

@Craig3786
This sounds nothing like the Craig Reynolds prototype.
Can i get it without the “tribal tattoo” on the bell?

Originally the Craig Reynolds ride?
the who ride??
Has to be. Or at least one of the prototypes as I don't think its crashy enough and I don't think there was any coating on the bell.
