    So funny that Ngannou alluded to using wrestling here, to win Gane, but this was done indirectly during this interview. But he did point out that Gane had no experience with grappling, and wow, did he surprise everyone at Ufc 270. I'm sure that Gane would have been frustrated in the last 3 rounds, but he will learn from it. Congrats to Ngannou; a well deserved strategic victory!!

  • @ziongite
    @ziongite 2 года назад +130

    He is exactly right, that is Gane's style, Gane bounces a lot and feints and throws while he bounces inward and then is already at the point of running away by the time they react. Then he uses running away for a short period if they try to go after him, they give up so they don't tire themselves out, then he does this over and over again. I don't think it will work that well against Francis however, Francis has very long arms and can explode forward fast, plus he has learned how to cut off the octagon. I see Francis catching Gane and knocking him out. Then those who wish Francis will lose, will jump onto the next bandwagon guy who is meant to go against him.
    Francis would get paid well vs Fury, but he would almost certainly lose. However that boxing match won't happen, because it hurts the UFC's brand.

      @@derekd7756 I don't think just walking down Gane will work at all. Gane maximizes his range with that fencing jab & the oblique kicks, and his feet are much more educated than Ngannou's (the one thing the sparring footage really reveals)- he doesnt go straight back, he cuts angles brilliantly; Ngannou is going to need to throw low kicks to disrupt his movement and try to initiate clinches and hit Gane upon exiting. Just punching at him in open space is unlikely to work, cuz Gane is better in long-space. One big advantage is that Ngannou doesnt need to worry much about power because Gane doesnt seem to hit very hard.

      I don’t think Gane even thinks that. He said it many times that Francis hits hard in those sparring sessions. Like both fighters said it’s the media who are making this what it is. But technically I just think Gane would win a UD. His gas tank and faints would be too much for Francis, even though I want Francis to win.
